    Hi,

    I need to update an old website. It has 4.9.8 of WP, 3.0.4 of Enfold and PHP 5.6.

    First of all, I need to know if it’s possible to update enfold from this old version and, if it’s possible, I need you to explain the update steps to me because I think that it’s not possible a direct update from 3.0.4 to 4.9.8.

    Hey Jordi,

    I would recommend that you update the theme manually via FTP, preferably on staging version of the site to avoid any risks on your production site. https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Please note that you might have to delete the old version before you upload the new one in order for it to install properly. You can also update using a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    Hi,

    Oks I understand it. But I need to know if I have to update directly from 3.0.4 to 4.5.0 or I have to update step by step bit with others intermediate versions. Which are the versions I need to update it correctly? Where can I download these versions?

    Hi Jordi,

    Well, you can update to the latest right away, please make sure you are running at least php5.6.3 and make sure to have a backup.

    And please consider this thread before updating:
