    Hi,

    could you please help me. I want to switch to child theme, after that the web page will not show the english version, that I made last week. Could you please advice me how to solve the problem?

    Hey dadisk8,

    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Hi Rikard,

    thank you for the reply and help.

    I updated the site, but the problem is still the same.

    Is it possible to import all settings from parent theme to child theme or something in that way?

    Hi Daniel,

    Yes, you can do that under Enfold->Import/Export. If the settings don’t apply then please try to toggle one or two theme settings and save again. Also make sure that you delete the old CSS and JS files under Enfold->Performance.

    Hi Rikard,

    I try what you advice me but I have the same problem.

    Only the english version is not working and the english version we made in parent theme, after switching to child theme the english version is not working (no text, no logo, no images,….)

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update. And we would like to apologize for the delay.

    Did you create a backup or a restore point? We would like to make sure that we can restore the site to a certain point or a backup in case we break the site when we activate the child theme. Do you see any errors when you activate the child theme?

    Hi Ismael

    Here I am sending you 2 printscreens when you can see the diference of english version (translated page) in child theme and parent theme. There are no errors, just missing logo, text,….

    If you need I can do a backup , please let me know.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Do you import the parent theme options after activating the child theme? Right after the theme activation, go to the Enfold > Import/Export panel and import the parent theme options.

    Yes, please create a backup of the site. Let us know when it’s ready.

    Hi Ismael,
    the problem was not in enabling child theme. The problem is still the same, after i activate the child theme, the english version of website is damaged: https://umetne-jelke.si/en/

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    You have to import the parent theme settings for each language. (see private field)

    In the theme options, switch to the other language, then go to the Import/Export panel. Click the “Import Settings from your Parent Theme” button. Again, you have to do this for each language. Please don’t forget to create a backup or a restore poing in case something goes wrong.
