Thme Enfold version 4.5.7
WordPress 5.3.3
The site starts to go slow and then the entire server is down due to the database overuse , I have checked that he WP table wp_postmeta has grown exponentially in the last month from 200 MB to 900 MB and the grown is in the wp_postmeta table, that appears to repeat information with a lot of rows apparently redundant :meta_id post_id meta_key meta_value

June 9, 2020 at 2:25 pm #1220869Hey,
Thanks for contacting us!
Have you enabled CSS and JS file merging and compression in Enfold theme options > Performance tab? If so, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/optimization/#troubleshoot and choose to disable unique timestamps.
You are currently using an older version of the theme which does not has this feature, therefore you would firstly need to update Enfold to the latest version 4.7.5 – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/
Best regards,
YigitJune 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm #1220882Yes I’ll do that , but how can I remove redundant rows form wp_postmeta so it decreases?

Please have a look at this article:

VictoriaJune 11, 2020 at 10:54 am #1221612The information of the article is useless for the case, the article points how to get rid of postmeta refering deleted posts , but the case with the bug of your Enfold theme is that there are a lot of postmeta (repeated a lot of times with the same data) refering to existing posts.
The SQL sentence useful in this case is :
DELETE FROM
wp_postmetaWHEREmeta_idNOT IN (SELECT * FROM (SELECT MAX(pm.meta_id) FROMwp_postmetapm GROUP BYpm.post_id,pm.meta_key) x)This sentence removes repeated postmeta for the same postid and meta_key, remaining only the last introduced.
I found this sentence in other place, but I put it here, in case any of your customers need it.June 11, 2020 at 4:48 pm #1221783Hi jasonkruger,

VictoriaJune 29, 2020 at 6:49 pm #1226544It has happened again , another server crash ,with another database size growing out of control of the wp_postmeta table , But this time we already had disabled the CSS and JS compresión and merging , so it seems this is not the problem.
Any clue where the problem could be ?Thanks.

Because it is the beta version of upcoming version which includes the fixes listed here – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-upcoming-fixes/
Yes, it includes this fix as well. The options I mentioned in my previous post is not available in 4.7.5
Then go to Enfold theme options > Performance and enable “Show advanced options”, then choose “Fix WP bug, disable unique timestamps” options and save theme options.
