    Hallo Zusammen,

    Hello everybody,

    the color of the scrollbar varies depending on the installed demo data, mostly the scrollbar is light, like here:

    But sometimes it is dark, like here:

    Where or how can I change it from light to dark?

    Thanks in advance and greetings from KiM

    Hi Blatze,

    I can’t see any difference in the scrollbar colour on my end, they are both the default browser colour. If you are looking to style the scrollbar on your site, then please refer to this: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_custom_scrollbar.asp

    Hi Rikard,

    thanks for your respond. I already tried this: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_custom_scrollbar.asp but it doesn´t work for me.
    I never would ask you, if there wouldn´t be the difference between the Demo Data I used and I mentioned above… so the Demo seems to change the Color of the Scrollbar.. on other sites (f.e. Google or other) the scrollbar ist dark like here:
    https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-one-page-agency/”

    I use iMac with Google Chrome, in Safari it is the same…

    maybe something like “dark/light” Mode?! 🤔
    Is this possible?

    Thank you very much for ur help!

    Best KiM

    Hi Kim,

    Thanks for the update. I can’t see any differences on my end, so I’m not sure what you are seeing on your end. I’m on OSX and Chrome as well.

    Best regards,

    Hm, ok, but there must be something, because with us it is the same on all devices, even on the iphone. So does the theme or better the demo data need to have some influence on this?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. The theme doesn’t actively change that no, maybe you have local settings in your browsers/devices which is applying some styling?

    No, I have not.. and How would that explain, that on other websites the scrollbar is dark and only with some Demo of enfold it is light? 🤷🏻‍♀️
    I now it is a Problem that you can not Reconstruct, but I have it on every device and my Customer have it on every device, so maybe someone else of your team have it too? And might help?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. I’ve asked the rest of the team to have a look as well. While they are doing that, could you post screenshots of what you are seeing on your end please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. This is what I’m seeing on my end: https://imgur.com/a/MzJwe7g. How can we reproduce the results you are seeing on your end?

    Hi Rikard,

    what iMac und IOS are you using? Did you try it in other Browsers? Like Safari or Firefox?

    I´m using MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.7 but it is the same in Big Sur the newest Version…
    In Safari and Firefox it is the same but with a little shadow.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the feedback, I have compared the two demos on a Mac Big Sur with Safari v14.1.1 & Chrome v91.0 and do see the difference, yet I do not find any -webkit-scrollbar css in the source code that would be used to create this, I also searched all of the theme files with no luck. I tried using the recommended pseudo-elements to change this on my 2017 demo:

    body::-webkit-scrollbar {
      width: 12px; /* width of the entire scrollbar */
    }

    body::-webkit-scrollbar-track {
      background: orange; /* color of the tracking area */
    }

    body::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb {
      background-color: blue; /* color of the scroll thumb */
      border-radius: 20px;       /* roundness of the scroll thumb */
      border: 3px solid orange; /* creates padding around scroll thumb */
    }

    but this didn’t work. I note that the scroll bar is not different in Windows 10 on Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, and it only shows different on the Mac. I do not know why, but this seems to be a unexpected result.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    @blatze @mike

    If you still have this issue, I have the same problem and there seems to be a dependancy on the socket colour.
    I’ve started a new post with screenshots here:

    Gern, aber bitte nicht auf den Beitrag mehr antworten, bevor der Support nicht geantwortet hat, sonst rückt es in der Bearbeitungsliste wieder nach hinten!!
