    Hi there,
    I have to update an outdated site and kindly ask for recommendations on which order would be best.
    Enfold: version 4.5.7
    Wordpress: 5.2.9
    PHP 7.2.34

    URL and list of plugins in the private area.

    Hi Katharina,

    Are you asking in which order you should update plugins and the theme? If so then it shouldn’t matter, as long as everything gets updated. Please refer to this on how to update your theme: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Also please make sure that you have backups of the site, before you start updating.

    Hi Rikard,
    thanks for your answer. Yes, it was the order I was concerned about.

    I followed the tipps given in your link and here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/update-of-old-version-of-enfold/ and updated successfully in this order

      Export theme settings
      saved all files that I had changed
      Backup site
      Caching off
      Update Plugins
      Update Theme (via FTP, deleted enfold folder and then uploaded the new enfold folder)
      Update WP core
      Update Plugin – some requested another update due to new WP version
      Update PHP version to 7.4
      restore of the changed files
      Caching back on again
      Backup site

    Now everything is updated to newest version, worked without any problems.
    Maybe this is helpful to others here.
