    Hi,

    as we wanted to update our enfold- theme for the first time we realized we have to enter a personal token – so we followed the steps as instructed here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#toggle-id-6-closed and created a personal token however we are still getting the errormessage in wp enfold settings. we tried in the incognito mode and it still did not work.

    the error message is:

    Last time we checked the token we were not able to connected to Envato:

    Purchases could not be accessed
    Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    Following errors occured:

    Purchases: Your private token is invalid.
    username Your private token is invalid.
    email Your private token is invalid.
    Purchases: A problem occured accessing your purchases. Unable to check for updates.

    hi rikard,

    i followed exactly that documentation (that you sent) – and tried twice, the token does not work and in the troubleshooting area of the documetnation it says:
    —-
    Create a new token and try again. (did that – did not work)
    Install the Envato market plugin and set up your token key to get new theme updates. (did that – did not work)
    If you still have an issue please open a support ticket. (<– i could not find a way to write a ticket so i wrote to this forum)

    Thanks, that worked. I’m getting errors when trying to login to WordPress though:

    Chyba pri vyrizovani pozadavku
    Server nevratil zadnou webovou stranku, kterou by bylo mozne zobrazit.
    Pravdepodobna pricina teto chyby je ve scriptu, ktery webovou stranku generuje.

    Error while serving request
    Server didn’t return any web site which can be shown.
    Probable cause of problem is in script which generates this web page.

    Hi Rikard,
    this is Michael, I’m supporting Lucie :-)
    the gateway is now disabled for a few hours so you should be able to login without any user/pw popup to access wordpress and anything else.
    If you need the htaccess file or anything else let me know.
    Anyway I tried to update the Enfold theme to the latest version but I still get an error message, at least the token authentification did work.
    When I click “update theme” in the Enfold “Theme Update” section I get the followin error message:

    Hi Michael,

    I can access the login page now but the details provided earlier in the thread don’t seem to work:

    CHYBA: Chybně zadané heslo pro uživatelské jméno kriesi.at. Zapomněli jste heslo?

    The error message you are getting when updating indicates that the token doesn’t have the correct permissions, or it’s the wrong token. I linked to the documentation earlier in the thread if you want to have a look at it again.

    hi Rikard,

    Anyway, I created a new token (exactly like described in the doc and also how it was done the first time) and now it worked and I could update the theme.

    the website is still not performing how it should and is slow although we are not talking about a big website. there are only a few plugins installed, 200 pictures, etc. so it must be much quicker, actually as it was a few weeks before… would be great if you could check if there needs to be done anything from our side that is maybe also related to the theme.

    we see now that the website loads normal on desktop. But it’s still very very slow on mobiles, maybe you know why this happens.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update, so your problem is now load speeds? You can see a mobile test in private. Are you saying that the theme you are running is solely responsible for slow mobile load speeds? If so then what happens if you are switch to one of the default WordPress themes?

    hi,
    since the problem is solved with the token yes, it is speed. –> actually the token problem was because we wanted to update the theme because of speed issues.

    So here we go, I switched the theme to the standard WP twenty nineteen theme. You can see all the speedtests attached in the PDFs. 2 with Enfold (Desktop/Mobile) and 2 with 20 19 (Desktop/Mobile). I used the tool you mentioned and used the server in Berlin. As you can see the overall performance is always better with the WP 20 19 theme. It looks like there are similar issues like those who were mentioned by others in the link I posted above.

    ps. I think this type of support isn’t very efficient (ping / pong once per day). Is is possible to get quicker support, skype support, teamviewer, etc?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    That is actually not a good comparison because the theme offers more features compare to the default themes, which can result to slower load times because it has to use more resources (e.g stylesheets, scripts, images etc). However, it doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to improve the site’s performance when the theme is activated. The following guide should help you optimize the site.

    You can start by enabling the theme’s Performance > File Compression settings.

    Regarding the theme switch: Unfortunately I didn’t know to which theme I should switch, if you have any recommendation I will be happy and can test it again.

    Hi,

    You should compare Enfold against other premium themes such as Avada or Bridge. That would be a fair and probably good comparison given the features provided by those themes.

    I went through the guide, most of the settings are already done in the backend.
    It looks like now that there are many issues especially on the homepage, other pages load quite normal like http://www.energierostlin.cz/obchod

    Please follow the recommendations given by the tools. You may need to experiment with different combination of plugins and configurations in order to get the best results. Unfortunately, site optimization is beyond the scope of support, so we won’t be able to help you further here. Please hire a freelance developer or contact an agency to fully optimize the site.
