    In my website is Enfold themeforest installed. In the theme update there is no Username and API key registered.
    I purcharched the theme but I nowhere can find the API key to register in my website.

    Hi Berdje1957,

    Envato/Themeforest has stopped using API keys for updates, you should use tokens instead.

    Hi Nikko,

    It is some time ago but I need help to install the legal themeforest in my website.
    I asked for help from a friend living in Spain who tried to sign in in march 2021. But this attempt was blocked.
    Now my friend does not respond to me already for months and I need to install the themeforest without being afraid that I damage the website.
    The current themeforest in the website has never been official what I did not know.

    So in February 2021 I bought the Themeforest but still it is not installed. I have no experience in this work and do not know how to install / override the current Themeforest in the website.

    I hope you can help me explaining what to do to install the Themeforest I purchased without harming the website.

    Thanks for the update. We can update the theme for you, please include admin WordPress and FTP login details in private, if you would like us to do it for you. Also please verify that you have backups of the site, and include your purchase code.

    FTP login details; if you don’t have them in your hosting provider account, then please try reaching out to their support, to see if they can provide you with the necessary details.

    Hi Bert,

    Thanks for the update. FTP login details are working now, but the WordPress details are still not working unfortunately. Please try logging into WordPress, then go to Users in the menu. Try to create a new user there, and pass the login details on to us. You can use the email in private, just remember to post the login details here in private, so that all moderators have access to them.

    Thanks for that. I’ve uploaded the latest version of the theme for you, but it looks like your current theme settings are not applying after that. Please try to activate the new version under Appearance->Themes, then update the theme options to reflect your current settings.

    I see the active theme and see customizer, also a menu theme options with theme update. But al of this is only to see and save settings?

    Hi Rikard,

    When I go to the website (URL) I don’t see anymore the layout of the startpage. It seems that all the Enfold theme options are empty.
    I have to create the starting page again, also things like the character styles are gone
    Do I have to create all the Enfold theme options again?

    Thanks for the update. I’m still not sure what you mean by not seeing the Layout of the front page. I can see the layout both on the front and backend. Could you try using a different browser to see if that helps please?

    I tried importing your old theme settings, but it didn’t work unfortunately, so I think you will have to set them manually again. If you run into any problem, then we can try to help you out.

    Hi Rikard,

    I had to choose the startpage so the website starts with this page (else I see pages with no format.

    Now I see all the pages again with partly the ‘old’ layout.

    But some things like the format (size, color) of the headers and body are gone.
    In the body I used different colors at some places and these are gone also.

    So it seems that some types of the ‘old’ format did not update when installing the new theme?

    Hope you understand what I am saying and give me some direction to changs back to the ‘old’ format types.

    Hoi Rikard,

    I think I have to work on the settings in the enfold theme options.
    Most of the selection possibilities are empty right now.
    So it will be manually putting in the settings ( not easy because I don’t know the old setting by heart).

    More important right now, I get a message that there is a Enfold update available.
    I read that I can upload the enfold folder by using the worldpress upload function? But I do not see this function.

    Can you explain what to do?

    Hi Bert,

    Please refer to this on how to register your site, in order to get automatic updates: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/. After you have added a token to the backend of the theme, then you should be able to update the theme from there.

    As for your settings; you will have to set them manually again unfortunately, since it was not possible to import your old settings. It might have something to do with that the theme you were using before was not a legal copy.

    Next step for me is to find out how to clone the website so I can (without fear) learn more about changing the themeforest webpages.
