Hello,
Unfortunately, I ran into another issue trying to work with LayerSlider.
This time, I’m working on a slider showcasing client testimonials – similar to this one (https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/sliders/client-testimonials/)
Now, I’m trying to link a layer (such as the name) to an external website. I did this in the Linking & Attributes section, but when I include the link, the layer disappears after having published it. Where am I going wrong here?
September 12, 2019 at 5:01 pm #1137603Hey MadRhino,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 16, 2019 at 4:03 pm #1138858Hey Nikko and thanks a lot for getting in touch.
I’d like to keep the number of plugins to a minimum; hence, I’m not very eager to install temporary software on my site. That said, I have created an administrator account on my sandbox site. Please see the corresponding login details and name of the LayerSlider I would appreciate your help with below.
Many thanks.

VictoriaMay 11, 2020 at 11:51 pm #1211918Hello Victoria, Nikko,
I know it’s been a while, but I only recently had some time to work on my site.
So, I noticed that the issue I outlined in my post remains unresolved.
Please note that in the meantime I upgraded the php version on my site to 7.
That said, I’d appreciate it, if you guys could take another look and give me some pointer on how to get the links working in my slider.
Many thanks.

May 12, 2020 at 5:36 pm #1212252Hi MadRhino,
Please update the theme to the latest version. That should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)
To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here. (Or if you want the super detailed explanation you can read this blog post)
If that does not help, feel free to reply here and we will take a closer look at the issue. In that case please also add your WordPress login credentials (in the “private data” field) so we can take a look at your admin area
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 13, 2020 at 9:59 pm #1212780Ahh Victoria,
First it’s the PHP version and now, it’s an outdated version of the theme …
Please note that I’m running Enfold version 4.74 along with PHP version 7.3.11.
I’m sorry having to say this, but is there any support request you actually helped to resolve or is your role just to give ambiguous boilerplate answers to push requests back to the end of the line? If you sense some frustration in my response, it’s because I am frustrated with your replies.
So, if somebody else could have a look and perhaps help me resolve this link issue, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks
May 18, 2020 at 9:58 pm #1214127Hey guys,
I haven’t received a response to my question in over a week now.
Does this indicate that I’m being ignored over having voiced some criticism and frustration over how my last support request was handled?
If that’s the case, please note that I’ve been a loyal customer and fierce advocate of Kriesi’s Enfold theme, in part, because of the passionate and unrelenting support that comes with the theme. So, if I can’t voice some well-deserved criticism over some boilerplate answers I received from Victoria, what message are you trying to send to me as a customer who has employed your theme on multiple projects with clients?
We can debate style and tenor of my last post, but does this really change anything as far as the quality and helpfulness of the answers I received are concerned? Let’s not blow this out of proportion; hence, I’d like to very much to renew my request for support. Rest assured, I’d very much appreciate both a qualified and timely response – as it has been the case on so many occasions before.
Many thanks.
May 19, 2020 at 11:19 am #1214289Hi,
Sorry for the confusion and for the delayed response. We tried to access the site above but it’s no longer available. Did you move the site? Please provide the updated link in the private field so that we can check the layer slider. A screenshot will also help.
What type of layer are you trying to attach the link to?
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 21, 2020 at 10:21 am #1214946Thanks for getting in touch Ismael. I appreciate it.
Yes, I moved away from the sandbox site, but I updated my post with the site’s new url right before Victoria replied. Anyways, I linked to it again below.
The layer I want attach a link to is the one with the company name and client’s locations. It’s in blue.
Many thanks for looking into that for me.
Best
May 25, 2020 at 9:25 am #1216051Hi,
Thank you for the patience.
We tried to login to the site but got locked out because of WordFence. Can you disable it temporarily?
It’s possible that the links are still there, but only invisible because the font color changes to the color of the background after applying the link. Are there white spaces or gap in place of the blue text after applying the link?
Best regards,
Ismael -
