I want to add a knowledge base as a page to my existing live site. I love the format of Enfold’s Knowledge Base demo. Is there any way to add this demo as a page on my site, without overwriting any of the site’s existing theme functions and settings?

The closest information I’ve found in the Support forum is this:
    kriesi.at/support/topic/shortcode-for-demo-pages/

However, that involves importing various pieces of various demos for building a new site. My site is already live, and here https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/import-demos/ it says this:
Importing a demo on a live site, where you have already set up pages, may cause issues and overwrite your current changes/settings so it isn’t recommended. The best way to see how things are set up in the demo is to create a test installation of WordPress, install the theme and then import the demos. This will install basic pages, posts, products and change all the settings to what the demo has.

    What do you recommend?

    Hey missouriartscouncil,

I think that’s a bit complicated, you can try to create a staging site first, so it doesn’t mess up your live site.
Then export your theme settings, import the demo, then re-import the settings you have exported.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks, Nikko. I did try that method on a staging site, but it didn’t work – kept breaking things! I’ve gone to a much less complicated method and installed a knowledge base plugin. Thank you for your help.
