Icons gone on a lot of pages

Sorry for my late reply. We are going to release new version of Enfold very soon and I have been busy with testing lately.

What icon do you see if you add the code i gave you into one of your installations?

I do not see any icons. I enabled debugging mode ( https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode ) on my local installation and inserted your shortcode there and then edited Button elements however “Show Button Icon” field is set to “No Icon”. You can also see that in your shortcodes

Could you please have a copy of your page and then enable shortcode parser – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#shortcode-parser and update the page using “Auto repair function enabled” – https://imgur.com/a/uj94ukL and check if that helps?

Hi,

1- That is expected. Shortcode would display icon=’ue800′, which is the default icon by the way, attribute even when icon is disabled.
2- Have you hard refreshed your page after updating your page? Because if you see info icon, character code must be updated. It would simply not show one icon and display another icon’s character code in shortcode
3- Yes, by “a copy of your page” I meant “a copy of that specific page”, not entire site :)
4- I fixed the typo. Thanks for the letting us know!

I have never seen a case where icon changes by itself and to be honest, at this point I am not sure how to proceed since I cannot reproduce the issue on my local installation and that we cannot see your live site.

Some users reported different issues related to duplicating pages using plugins. So if the page was initially created by duplicating using a plugin, maybe that would explain it but I am just guessing :)

Thank you for the screencast.

The icon value ue800 is for the button (av_button) shortcode, which was manually added inside the Icon Box content or for the Symbol Box element as shown in the screen cast. It has nothing to do with the Symbol Box icon. The selected icon for the Symbol Box element will stay the same even if you removed the av_button shortcode from the content field.

Yes, that is true. That change will be reflected in the iconbox shortcode, which should look something like this in the shortcode field, located below the builder, if debug mode is enabled.

To enable the debug mode and to actually see the shortcodes below the advance layout builder, please use the snippet from the documentation.

That value does not even matter because the icon_select parameter, which is a flag whether to display the icon for the av_button shortcode, is set to “no”, which means that the value ue800 will never be used and no icon will show for the av_button shortcode.

Again, the av_button shortcode is a custom content previously added manually by someone in the Icon Box element’s Content editor and it is not a default option or it is not part of the Icon Box shortcode, so you can remove it if necessary.
