I’m experiencing the same issues with the Google Maps API no longer working. I have created multiple credentials, have disabled plugins, all with no success. Can someone take a peek and point me in the right direction? Thanks!
June 6, 2018 at 12:17 pm #967803Hey Chris,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.4.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Also please delete the old versions of the theme which you are not using.
Best regards,

June 20, 2018 at 6:03 am #975097Hi,
Did you set up a google billing account yet? You can’t use the map API key without a billing method. It’s the new google API policy.
// https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/usage-and-billing
Reminder: To use our Maps, Routes, and Places APIs:
Starting June 11, 2018: All Google Maps Platform API requests must include an API key; we no longer support keyless access.
Starting July 16, 2018: You’ll need to enable billing on each of your projects.
See Guide for Existing Users for more information.Best regards,

June 21, 2018 at 3:05 am #975608Hi,
Thanks for the update. The “Enfold Child” contains every files from the parent theme. Why do you have to do that? It defeats the purpose of having a child theme.
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 21, 2018 at 4:33 pm #975845I would have used the wizard to install the child theme. No idea why all files went there.
Does this affect how the Google Maps work?
June 21, 2018 at 7:01 pm #975923Hi ckonanz,
All the files should not be there, only the files you need to make changes in and styles.css and functions.php.
All the other files have to be removed, because when you update the theme you will have to update all those files as well or they will stay outdated.If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaJune 21, 2018 at 7:03 pm #975924Hi Victoria!

June 22, 2018 at 7:07 am #976109Hi,
This is the error when I checked. (see private field)
The files in the child theme are outdated. Some js or scripts files are missing including the latest google map script. Please remove the files from the child theme.

June 25, 2018 at 12:42 am #977259Hi,
Are you suggesting that I log into the hosting account, and delete all files located in the wp-content\enfold-child folder?
Yes, you have to delete every files and replace it with the actual child theme files. Get the child files from this link.

@krugerparktours: The map display when I checked. Is this fixed?Best regards,

June 26, 2018 at 12:55 am #977716Hi,
I replaced the files in the folder as you suggested, and all my custom work that I paid someone to do broke
You should ask him/her to re-implement the changes properly because what he did is not in accordance with the theme development standards.
// https://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development#Theme_Development_Standards
Unfortunately, we can’t help you trace back these modifications. Please contact the previous contractor or visit our partner, Codeable.

IsmaelJune 27, 2018 at 10:41 am #978346Hi Victoria,
Thanks, I see that it is working.
It seems to be the browser history not showing the map.
Kind regards,
Johan
