I simply need to generate a new valid API token in Envato, your theme distributor, so that I can continue to receive theme updates for Enfold. It was a very simple process in the old Envato api. Now I have the following message in my Enfold Theme Settings > Theme Update section:

“Attention: The old Envato API is deprecated and will be shut down soon. In order to be able to use automated theme updates please generate a new valid API token and enter it above. Your themeforest username and your old API key will then be removed from your installation since they are no longer required.”

Everything I see in the way of support is for developers. It seems that someone has forgotten the customers.

    Best,
    Dameon

I installed the plugin: Envato Market plugin and that seems to have been useful in creating an API app to generate a token to validate purchases.

However, when I try to add that same token into Enfold > Theme Settings > Theme Update > Under “Enter a valid Envato private token” and I click the button: “Check the private token” the page just hangs, nothing is saved. I’ve tried pasting the token in and saving settings, that works, but then when I try the button to “Check the private token” again the page hangs.

Please update to the latest version that we have pushed over at themeforest – should be fixing all issues :)

@Basilis . Thanks for your reply. I have updated to the latest version of Enfold. I still have the issue that the private toke in not validated under theme updates.

Same here – when I enter my valid private token and click “check the private token” nothing happens except for an endlessly spinning circle
I have updated to latest version of Enfold

Is it necessary to create a new token for each instance of Enfold that I have installed or can I use the same token for all instances of Enfold?

    #1038429

    Hi dameonjamie,

Yes, it is necessary to have separate tokens for all licenses.
