Hi at all,
I’m using your theme in one of my clients website. I use the version: 4.4.
I now needed to update PHP to Version 8.3.
I made a copy on another server to test the upgrade
the I want to go to the login I receive the following message:“Fatal error: Unparenthesized

Use either(a ? b : c) ? d : eora ? b : (c ? d : e)in /home/.sites/97/site938/web/ksk/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions-enfold.php on line 313″I read on an old tread, (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fatal-error-unparenthesized-a-b-c-d-e/) that a upgrade to v4.8.8 could solve the issue….
Is there a possibility to get a download link for this version?

I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (6.0.2) to see if that helps please? The update to 6.0.2 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or upload the theme as if it was new under Appearance->Themes->Add New Theme.
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

Thank you, but I already tried to update it to the newest version but since this “destroys” a lot of other stylings and things on my website so I hoped that the “small” update to the version mentioned in the thread could help with the problem. Although I use a child theme, a lot changes after the update;-)Hi,

But these versions are very far behind with many other errors that need to be updated.
Your best approach will be to create a staging site and update your theme and then address the style issues until your site looks the way you want, and then deploy the same steps on your live site.
Typically updating will not casue styling issues, if you are having trouble with your customizations when you update, this could be due to your customizations in the core theme files or some plugin conflicts.
If you create a staging site and update it and post admin login to both the staging site & the live site, we could review and help.Best regards,

thanks again, I think I can manage most of the problems that occurred with the update to the v6.0.2.
for the moment 1 question appeared:
I use a fullscreen slider which I used to adapt to fit my needs.
with the “old” version of enfold, the slider automatically received an ID (fullscreen_slider_1). After the Update, the ID is gone….

You can manually apply the ID in the elements’ Advanced > Developer Settings > Custom ID Attribute field. You can also apply Custom CSS Class names or add a description to the element.
