Hello, I’m having trouble updating the theme, it conflicts with all the plugins, both in the previous version of word press and in the last one

    Hey mateus1707,
Please explain what errors you are seeing that has you believing that Enfold is conflicting with the plugins.
I was not able to login to your site, it seems the password was incorrect, please check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thank you, I was able to login but I don’t have admin access so I can’t investigate as to what your errors, I didn’t see any errors.
But I see that you have the emulator plugin active, which probably is a issue.
I believe that from your last post, you tried to post the errors, but I don’t see them in the post.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thank you, I see that you have Enfold v4.5.2 and the only errors I could find when creating a page are from “wp-seo”
Please see the screenshot in Private Content area.
    Is that what you meant?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
If you look at your “Themes” panel you have two Enfold’s the active one is v4.5.2 which is up to date.
It looks like someone helped update your site and left the old one as a backup, but you would not want the same one installed twice, I believe that is the root of the error.
I don’t recommend deleting it in the panel, if you post FTP access I will take a look and remove the old one, I would be worried that they are nested, (one inside of the other)

and just click on the wp file, and enter the ftp directory that was where I installed the new theme in new folder.

    Hi,
I didn’t realize you had that plugin, then since you know which one is the old one, I recommend deleting the old one so that you only have the new one.
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?

    Best regards,
    Mike

but there is a problem there, I’m doing my site, how will the next updates? I’m going to lose everything

    #1056327

    Hi,
When the next update comes out you will update without the error of having the theme installed twice.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi, sweetheart, good afternoon!
well, I would like to inform you that I did not understand anything of what you sent in that link, as I previously mentioned there is a folder called enfold with a security lock that can not delete and update, second point I do not know how to do this, create my site and I want the theme updated, and when trying to update through the wordpress update panel of a series of errors that I have already sent to your support, fourth place I need you to fix it as soon as possible, I have already provided all possible access to perform the updates, if you do not make the updates I will request the refund of the amount paid for your theme because it is giving error, okay? I paid to have a product working and not presenting errors.

    Hi,
I have taken another look, and see now that the updated version of Enfold that was activated and up-to-date is now gone,
    2019-01-20-092301
That is OK we will help, first lets look at your problem, you can not update this version (v4.5) because it is locked, this is your error:

The update can not be installed because you will not be able to copy some files. Usually this occurs because of inconsistent file permissions

    2019-01-23-171859
So the solution is to un-lock it, unfortunately I don’t see this option in your “WP File Manager” plugin, but I see that the “PRO” version offers this:
    2019-01-23-173927
Did you have a “PRO” version trial of the plugin and locked this folder by mistake?
If not can you tell us how the Enfold folder became locked?
Reading your post above it sounds like you don’t know how to unlock?
Unfortunately locking the theme folder and making it so it won’t update is not the fault of the theme.
But we would like to help you correct this, yet to do so we will need access to your webhost control panel to “try” to reset your file permissions, your plugin dose not offer this, and there is a good chance that even your webhost control panel won’t allow this. Most likely only your webhost support can do this with shell access, that is a very high level access that they don’t give to the users, but we will “try” if you give us the login.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
I didn’t get it, so to login it’s “2 factor auth”?
You may have better luck asking your digitalocean support to change the file permissions for you (un-block) because most likely it will take their level of permissions to do so.

    Best regards,
    Mike
