    Hello,

    I had set up a Child theme about a week ago. It worked all fine at the start. But days later things started to break out of nothing, layout and styles that we had set up for parent theme no longer worked.

    We’ve exported the parent theme style settings and imported them to the Child theme but it’s still not working.

    For instance, the footer background colour in the Child Theme is still white whilst it’s defined black in the settings.

    We’ve re-activated the parent theme for now.

    Any help please?

    Can you please enable the child theme so that we can see the issue? Which version of php are you running?

    Hi Victoria,

    I do not know how to check the php version.

    About the Child theme activation, could you guys do it? You’ve already gotten the login credentials. I cannot risk having my client notice the broken layout of the child theme, even if it’s for a second.

    Hi Victoria,

    The issue is that the Childtheme’s layout is differen than it’s suposed to be, eventhough the settings are exactly the same as the parent’s in Enfold Styling options. I’ve taken screenshots and added comments in blue. You can find them in private content.

    I’ve got the exact same issue on another Enfold website I’m running. I’ve reactivated the parent theme meanwhile.

    Sadly we do not. If you could send me the instructions I could ask our IT about it. Any idea what the underlying cause might be?

    Hi,

    It seems like you have moved many files to your child theme. Have you modified all those files? If not, please download pre-built child theme here – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#why-child-theme and apply the changes once again. After installing and activating Enfold child theme, please go to Enfold child theme options > Import & Export and import parent theme settings.
