Since it’s now been 24 hours and no one’s responded to my original post except to point me to directions to re-do what I already had done successfully multiple times, I hope this gets some attention. I have a website with thousands of uniques a day and this limbo is unacceptable to them!

    1. I updated the site to the latest theme version
    2. I created the child theme, as per your instructions
    3. I then clicked the Import Parent Site Settings button and it worked fine. The message said it was successful.
    4. The child site has not fully imported settings from the parent site. Fonts, colors, footer, sidebar – almost everywhere there’s mix of the parent site and (I assume) the default Enfold theme. Again, no error messages – according to all feedback from the theme/parent-import and settings import, the child site should look just like the parent site.

So basically, your Import Settings function is not working correctly. I have imported the parent site settings multiple times; each time it assures me that it will overwrite the existing child theme settings. And then it tells me that the settings import was successful. And yet it isn’t – the result is always the same and I have to roll back to the parent site because the child site is unacceptable! It’s even to the point where, for example, the General Styling button says Splash Blue and yet the buttons, main font color, etc. are all green!

Please help – I am stuck waiting to apply all kinds of changes because I expect you’ll need to fix things and release a new theme version!

    Hey getmechamot!

This seems to be resolved – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/child-theme-does-not-pick-up-all-settings-from-theme/#post-552246. Is it? :)

    Cheers!

Yes! Having to edit a setting, save it, then edit another setting and saving again was what was needed (making just one edit and saving did not work)

FYI I just posted a sidebar issue, but please close this one and thanks again for such help!
