    Hi,

I have a technical question, but since I can’t find our Enfold theme registration code, I can’t log in and write support questions.

Therefore, I hope you can pass this question on to the right person.

I have a technical problem with my Enfold theme, I need to know if we need to buy the product again to fix the problem or whether we can continue as we have done.

The problem is that when I have to edit a page with Avia Layout builder and open a text box to edit the text, the “text box” is empty.
If I select the “invisible text” in the box, I can see that it consists of the text that was previously written and HTML encoded.

Could it be because my Enfold Theme is a too old version compared to WordPress?

    I run with the following:
    Enfold 4.1.2
    Wordpress 5.3.2

    Best regards

    Hey Christian,

Sorry for the problem. It’s likely caused by you running an old version of the theme, please try to update to the latest version (4.7.3) to see if that helps. The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard
