  • Hi Yigit.

Yes, it has corrected again but I’m going to leave this thread open this time.

I did a ‘purge all’ cache via Wordfence may have helped but I will need to see if the error comes back and by doing this same action has the same result?

    I’ll keep you posted.

    Cheers
    John

    Hi,
Thank you for your patience, but the 2FA code doesn’t work and WordFence has locked me out, please disable WordFence and the 2FA so we can login and investigate.
Please note that our Mods are in different parts of the world and on different time zones, anyone of us should be able to login and assist, so disabling the WordFence and the 2FA would help.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thanks, I see this error: Refused to execute script from ‘‘ because its MIME type (‘text/html’) is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.
    This is causing #1 & #3
When did this begin, after updating to PHP v8.1.8, or adding a plugin?
I have not seen this before but I don’t believe Enfold can cause this, I recommend starting by disabling all of your plugins, I’m thinking strict MIME type checking might be a setting in Wordfence, but it could be a different one.
My research seems to point to a server setting or .htaccess, but it’s vague, try asking your webhost if strict MIME type checking can be disabled

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

We tried to login to the site again but got locked out by WordFence. Would you mind updating the theme again? The minimum height option works correctly on our end using version 5.4.1.

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I didn’t see the script there. My first thought was to try downloading the mailerlite universal.js script and upload it to your site to solve the Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB), because if the file is called from your domain it should solve the issue, but your media library wouldn’t allow me to upload the universal.js script, so we would need to try with FTP access, if you can provide or if you can upload it with your cPanel file manager try adding a /js/ directory in your child theme and adding the universal.js script in it so the path is: /wp-content/themes/enfold-child/js/universal.js then use this URL in the script instead of static.mailerlite.com/js/universal.js I linked to the universal.js file below.

So since I couldn’t do this on your site I created a test page on my demo, but when I added the script to WPcode and copied the code block I didn’t get the Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) error and the reCAPTCHA shows and the form works from the page and then gives the correct redirect to your /thank-you-2/ page. Please give it a try and see if you had a new sign up for the name “support” and email ” (Email address hidden if logged out)

I can’t explain why my Enfold demo doesn’t show the same error, perhaps a plugin like Wordfence Security or something else? Try disabling your plugins and see if your test page then works correctly, if not we can try adding the universal.js to your child theme as a workaround.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hello Enfold team,

unfortunately, I can’t upgrade my website to PHP 8 with Enfold. PHP 7.4 works without any problems.
When I upgrade to 8, I get a message: “There was a critical error on your site.”

    Enfold version: 5.2.1

I deactivate all plugins, still doesn’t work. So I don’t think it’s the plugins. Nevertheless, the overview, maybe that makes it easier to solve the problem.

    Plugins I use:
    . Aksimet Anti-Spam
    . Classic editor
    . Contact form 7
. Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA
    . Disal Comments
    . Duplicate Page
    . duplicator
    . Layer Slider WP
    . OMGF
    . OMGF Pro
. Opt-Out for Google Analytics (DSGVO / GDPR)
    . Really simple SSL
    . Revolution Slider
    . Use Any Font
    . Wordfence Security

Can you please help. I just can’t figure out what’s causing it.

    Many Thanks.

    Warm greetings
    Daniel

    Hi adrenal,

    You’re welcome :)
I haven’t tried Updraft but I’ve seen many Enfold users using that plugin and it seems good, there are some hosting providers that has the backup option and that’s what I’m using.
All-in-one migration plugin is good as well.
As for anti-malware, I think Wordfence would be great.
I hope you find these helpful.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey woogie07,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The spam protection widget seems to be working correctly. Have you tried installing a security plugin such as Sucuri or WordFence? You can also try a different contact form plugin like Contact Form 7 and install additional security extensions. Please check the links below.

    // https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7-honeypot/\
    // https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcf7-recaptcha/

    Hi,
Thanks for your patience, please check the wp-config.php file via FTP to see if you find the DISABLE_WP_CRON set to true, look for this:
    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true);
If you do find this please change to false and then test your contact form again.
If you don’t find this then perhaps your Wordfence Security has disabled the cron, I’m not sure if this an option, if you can find the option try disabling the Wordfence Security plugin and test your contact form again.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey Lene,
Thanks for your patience, I have installed the WP logging plugin to see if WordPress was sending the autoresponder message and found that it was not, my guess is that the cron was not working so I tried looking for a plugin to check if the cron was working when your Wordfence blocked me from the site.
So try installing a cron checking plugin and see if the cron is working, also check if your server logs are showing any errors.
If not try disabling all of your plugins, including Wordfence, and try your contact form again and then check the WP logging plugin to see if WordPress was sending the autoresponder message, if none of this helps then leave all of your plugins disabled and let us know so we can investigate further.
I tested the autoresponder on my test site and it works correctly, so this is not an error in the element.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey Rob,

    Thanks for contacting us!

I tried de-activating all active plugins except for Booking Calendar, WordFence and multilingual plugin however that did not help. I tried installing 5.1.2 and switching to one of the default themes but the issue is still there.

Could you please contact plugin authors regarding the issue?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi, Rikard

Thanks for the info. I did manage to register, thanks for the tip.

    Check this page: https://aciege.org/les-ecoles-membres-de-laciege/#toggle-id-2
This is a directory of the partner schools of our association. We used the accordion element of Avia Page Builder to register all the schools. Our problem is the following: whenever we enter an element of the accordion to enter some text or a picture; it seems to accept it but does not display it. Using Elementor helps us go round this problem, but it would be much more simple for our users to change their info directly in the accordion element.
Could you help us solve this problem?
Are there any known incompatibility of Avia Page builder with some plugins?
For the record, here are the active plugins on our website: Akismet Anti-Spam / All In One WP Security / Classic Editor / Contact Form 7 / Easy Updates Manager / Elementor / Flamingo / Import Export WordPress Users and WooCommerce Customers / Jetpack / Leaflet Map / LoginWP (Formerly Peter’s Login Redirect) / MailPoet / Post Types Order / Really Simple SSL / Redirection / Regenerate Thumbnails / Restreindre l’accès utilisateur / Shortcodes Ultimate / User Menus / User Role Editor / Wordfence Security / WP-Optimize – Nettoyer, compresser, mettre en cache.
    Thanks for your help

I followed the instructions you sent.

It thinks I’m running the latest version. I checked manually. It took me to the wordpress updates page. It too thinks everything is updated. We recently had to update PHP and I’m wondering if the latest version, 8.1, is the problem.

Also … I have several websites running Enfold. My main site, MagnificentU.com is having no issues and is updated properly. I’m wondering if the problem could be the new 8.1 php and wordfence. Because my main website is running a different security plugin???

    Hi,
after installing 5.1.1 per FTP-Upload 1 week ago, today (!) theme-manger of WP says the them needs an update? Checking it in Enfolds “Theme-Update” it says 5.1.1. But WordPress says its still 4.9. This triggers warning-mails by Wordfence. How can I fix this?

    Best Regards
    Tim

    Hey Keith,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Have you tried installing a security plugin such as Sucuri or Wordfence? The plugin should help block the source of the unwanted emails and improve the overall security of the site.

    // https://wordpress.org/plugins/sucuri-scanner/
    // https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/

If the issue persists, try to use different contact forms from plugins like Contact Form 7 or WPForms.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Puoi aiutarmi. Grazie anticipatamente

    Hey,

Login credentials are not working for me. I tried to login with them twice and got locked out by WordFence.

Could you please check login credentials once again?

    Hi pencefinancial,

Yes, I think it’s a server issue since there’s no Wordfence plugin on your site.
Try to contact your hosting provider to help you with it.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    #1343712

    Hi Nikko,

I’m not sure what Wordfence is. I used the Enfold theme countless times and I’ve never had to unblock anything. Is this a server issue?

    #1343557

    Hi pencefinancial,

It’s happening on the homepage since Wordfence blocks the iframe, it would only happen to pages with the iframe embed.
I have posted a screenshot of the issue in private content.
It should be fixed if you unblock it in Wordfence.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi pencefinancial,

Thanks for giving us admin access.
The iframe code (in private content) causes the issue, Wordfence gives a 403 Forbidden Error when it is added.
I have removed it in your homepage and it seems to work properly.
    Please review your site.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey mebi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The default contact form element have only two options for security, the default number captcha and the Google reCAPTCHA option. If you want to avoid using Google’s captcha widget, you may have to improve the site’s security in other ways such as installing a security plugin like Sucuri or Wordfence to monitor the site and block harmful traffic. You can also use a different contact form such as Contact Form 7 and install a honeypot plugin to add another layer of security to the contact form.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Hiya, I think it is Wordfence locking out certain countries. I have unblocked those you requested.

An example of the problem is a Portfolio called Egg Cups.

    Thanks

    Hey,

I was locked out by WordFence. Could you please go to Users > Profile and make sure visual editor is not disabled – https://imgur.com/a/rbePxuv?

Hi Rikard, as with several of the US-based sites I manage, there is no need whatsoever to to allow non-US based IPs access to the backend. It is my understanding that most of the Kriesi team are located outside the US. Do you have a US-based VPN from which you can connect? Otherwise, Wordfence will immediately block you. I won’t disable WF without client consent and that would take up even more time.

If you were thinking compression/minifying is at fault, I have gone that route already. None of the sites I manage use the built-in Enfold compression for JS or CSS – a general rule for me. We do use SG Optimizer and I have already deactivated minifying and compression, cleared server cache – and it had no effect on mobile. This was even after adding the quick CSS you sent at first.

    But I did notice something:
    1. https://mommymakeovercenterofny.com/ is using 4.8.6.3 and has a child header based on the 4.8.6.3 header. – no mobile easy slider controls visible.
    2. https://swedesboroday.com/ is using 4.8.6.5 and while the child folder has a custom functions.php file, there is no child header present – no mobile easy slider controls visible. I also added your quick css here.
    3. https://mommymakeovercenterofny.com/ is using 4.8.6.3 and has a child header still present from a version prior to 4.8.6.3 (I did not make any changes yet) – mobile easy slider controls are visible.
    4. https://southerndental.org/ is using 4.8.6.5 and while the child folder has a custom functions.php file, there is no child header present – mobile easy slider controls are visible. Note: we do not us SG Optimizer on this site.

This is getting a tad complicated – need to find a solution for the mobile easy slider controls. I have several other client sites which must have the slider controls visible for mobile since that is where ~ 90% of web traffic is coming from. The issue only surfaced after updating to 4.8.6.3 and changing any child header to a 4.8.6.3 version. As I noted above, we have a bunch of sites on 4.8.6.3 but have not yet updated the child header and the mobile slider controls ARE there. Stranger yet is the dental site I mentioned, which is on 4.8.6.5 and no SG Optimizer, looks fine.

I had also deactivated SG Optimizer on https://swedesboroday.com/, cleared server and browser cache and still no controls on mobile easy slider. I think this shows it is not the plugin at issue.
