    This site https://kau-hawaii.com/
See these errors we are getting from WORDFENCE

    https://imgur.com/a/ZZIeE

We have checked and it says there is no problem. But how do we get rid of this?
If we update to 4.2 will these be overwritten?
Other problem is the the site is not getting information automatically about updates and Client says he requested when he purchased the theme.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Anna,

Could not login both times with different threads. Can you disable wordfence for a while, please?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hey Jordan,

Yep…that is always a first things we try. We actually ended up deleting a couple too. We installed and ran WordFence which will scan the site for potential errors or hacks. Still no luck :-(

Found the problem and fixed it!
On my child theme settings page, the General Layout, inside the dimensions tab, uncheck the box that says “Responsive Site” (if enabled the size of your website will adapt and change to fit smaller screens, … )

This seems counter-intuitive to me, you would think this box needs to be checked to make the site responsive.

Is this a bug in Enfold?

Would love to better understand this, so if you can please explain the functionality of this button I would much appreciate it.

BTW, working now fine will my earlier plugins (WP Super Cache, Jetpack, Wordfence, activated)

My blog posts are no longer responsive, requiring sideways scrolling on an iPhone 6S.

I am using a child Enfold theme, to Enfold 4.1.2.

This is a new bug for me, I have disabled W3 Cache, JetPack, WordFence, Envira, and all other plugins except WooCommerce and Yoast. I do not think this is a plugin compatibility issue since my site has be responsive for a long time with many plugins activated, until recently.

Is there an new issue with responsive functionality on iPhone with IOS 11.0.2 ?

if you look at the 6 images, the top 3 line up perfectly, the bottom 3 however will not line up in a straight line.
I have tried everything, delete and clone, built a who new page from scratch and the problem still there?
I also have another question, Wordfence is giving me a notification that The Plugin “MCE Table Buttons” appears to be abandoned (updated August 25, 2014, tested to WP 4.0.19). Do I need to delete this from my root folder or update it?

    Hey there,

Upon reviewing the traffic of my website I have found that there are several errors regarding certain png files (please see images attached) that are related to bookmarking the site from mobile devices. When you see the traffic report wordfence is saying that these pages are non existing and listing them as errors. Have you guys already dealt with this issue before ? Should I worry about it ?

(images of this error – these screenshots are from a wordpress plugin WORDFENCE that I use to analyze traffic)

    Hi,

My layout was also with the same eternal loading sign, and since I don’t have the WordFence plugin, I thought that the solution could be just by copy pasting the code Ismael posted above on the functions.php file and it would be solved.
But now, the website has just crashed and I can’t even access it through the regular WordPress login form! How should I proceed?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t think the behaviour is theme specific, and like I said, I’ve never encountered this problem before so I’m not sure how to deal with it unfortunately. But if you are looking to do a redirect then maybe a redirect plugin would work out for you? Wordfence works with the theme, you could check out Sucuri as well.

If you are looking to harden your WordPress installation and have it monitored then I would recommend contacting a service like SteadyWP. I’m pretty sure they clean sites as well if you should have the need for that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    In reply to: User Registration

I am using Akismet Anti-Spam, Cimy User Manager, Jetpack and Wordfence. I’m wondering if it could be the WP-FB Autoconnect, but the spam users don’t seem to be associated with a Facebook account.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi,

Yes, there are no “posts” per se in the site, just portfolio sections and pages. I have tried to disable all blog and comment type functions as this site is not intended to be anything like that.

I am a bit scared to delete those entries as they seemed to refer to images and I am afraid to mess up the rest of the site. I changed all the status entries to “closed”. The hackers seemed to have put two entries in the database which linked to a viagra site and some sunglasses sites and they used that post method to appear in google search and then (in google) if you clicked you got to that site rather than ours.

If I google search now they are no longer appearing so hopefully that is sorted, I was just hoping there was a global way to disallow those sort of links. There are not many links on the site so it is relatively easy to control that, unlike a blog with lots of posts and comments! The only issue was that google seemed to have stored a bunch of those “domain/post_name” links, obviously the hacker modus operandi. At least now they seem to get to that “blog” page (as per hidden links above).

I hoped that that “blog” page that comes up now with the image thumbnail could be somehow replaced by something else or a redirect. I am not sure what that page is or how created but it seems to be a wordpress thing. I was hoping it was an enfold thing that you might recognise.

Is there a recommended security plug-in (eg wordfence?) that is good with enfold?

    Thanks

I moved to Sucuri instead of Wordfence after my hosting company suggested Wordfence was not good on their shared cloud platform.
    No silly warning now lol.
I have to admit, that I only have one site now (an old one) where I have Layslider in use. With all the updates Enfold has provided since then, I never have the need and customers are not willing to spend money on real fancy sliders. The basic fullwidth slider within Enfold work great.
Perhaps it is the time to de-couple LS from the default install and have it as an option?

I agree, Greg, I have the same Wordfence warnings on my site and this plugin Layerslider should be removed entirely from the theme code, for a true fix. It should be an option to the buyer, to install it or not. I am looking at another theme that has plugins as an “Option” which is not coded into the theme. It’s been over a month and a half for a fix for this.

    Hi Mods,

We are having a problem with one of the websites we developed with Avia Advanced Layout Builder just loading on our client’s end.
Happening on multiple computers but everything is fine on our end, the developers.

Here are the plugins being used:
    Contact Form 7
    Eggplant 301 Redirects
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    Head Footer and Post Injections
    Limit Login Attempts
    Multipart robot.txt editor
    Simple Custom CSS
    Wordfence Security
    WP Statistics
    Yoast SEO

    WordPress Version 4.8.1
Enfold Theme Version Number is 3.1.5

Disabling All plugins will fix it but we need those plugins active.
If you can provide inputs that would help, we would really appreciate the help.

    Hi there,

I’ve recently upgraded to the new version and suddenly all my images relating to the Portfolio section is not displaying.

I’ve tried disabling the “Wordfence” Plugin but the problem still persist. Please do help to resolve this urgently as it is on a LIVE website.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I have disabled Yoast SEO and Wordfence as suggested by my host, and things improve, but the CPU is still running too high when editing or creating a page or post..

    I’m baffled.

    Thanks

    Phil

I am at present in touch with wordfence to see why you cannot see the website, considering Austria is not blocked, nor are there specific url’s blocked. They asked for a screenshot when you try to visit the website, so they help determine what is going wrong and how it can be fixed. Can you please provide a screenshot like that?

In reply to: Enfold update issues

Hi Yigit, I have disabled country blocking in Wordfence. Please see private content for link.

The cart icon is still jumping to the next line and I have the extra Enfold burger menu which is not needed. If you hover over the misplaced cart icon, the hover content is placed correctly but I think that static Enfold burger menu they threw in is screwing thing up.

    Please advise.

I have the main domain with the last version of Enfold, and a subdomain with a past version of the same theme…

All plugins are updated, and Wordfence don’t report me anything. The website is clean. But for google is not clean and report me the problem on wp-content/uploads, and that folder is empty… :/
