Hi,
I finished and uploaded the new website to the excisting .nl domain. All is working just fine.
The website also has a additional .com (sub)domain hosted by the same hosting provider.
Normally (or at least as I’m used to) if you type in the .com address, you’re redirected to the .nl website.
But this hosting company does it a bit differently, and will show the site when typing the .com web address. No redirect.
But for some oddball reason I cannot understand yet, the custom icon font that is used by the social media links in the header top bar, and the “to top’ button icon don’t work on the .com website.
Any menu link will end up on the .nl domain, and all will work again as expected/tested . The only thing I can come up with is some odd path reference somewhere for the font not to be found….
Website: http://www.cavador.com > non working icon font. Click on logo or any menu (=redirect to .cavador.nl) gets a working icon font again.
Other problem is that the .com menu will open a new tab for the .nl domain. Not exactly what I want.
The client just made new business cards with the .com address, besides the fact the website ran for years on the .nl domain ;-)
So this has to work properly.
I also did the whole saving settings and permalinks in WordPress, but so far nothing.
cheers for any tips,
rob

Hi!
Please add following code to Quick CSS as well and adjust screen width as needed
@media only screen and (max-width: 990px) {
#top #main .sidebar { display: none !important; }
.responsive .container .nine.units { width: 100% !important; border: none!important; }}
Regards,

Screenshots below.
Top two are fine – screen is wide enough for text in slider to be readable & fairly well proportioned. The third however is mobile size screen & text is out of proportion. The fourth is how I would like the Slider to behave below a certain screen width:

Thanks for the help. That didn’t help but, but I ended up finding out what it was. Not sure if this is a minor bug or not
In the Enfold > Header Layout there is an option for Header Size. Before I had it set to use Custom Pixel Value to make use of a larger logo area. This worked for the logo, but it stopped the transparency from working properly. Right now I have it set to Large, and the transparency is functioning
Ever since I updated to the latest version of Enfold, the nav bar will leave an imprint on the page after scrolling in Chrome. I’ve seen this discussed here but the solution didn’t work for me (or the OP it seems). That thread got closed to new replies for some reason, so I’m creating a new one. The issue seems to only occur in Chrome. I am running the most modern versions of Chrome, WP, and Enfold on Mac OS 10.8.5.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Hi there!
We’re having quite some issues with Enfold after updating to latest WP (release), unfortunately.
Whenever we try to edit a page, all we get is the infamous “circle of death” instead of the editor.
Right after update last week we had this problem and additionally the problem of the new page editor not showing anything, but reading up on similar topics in here, we seemed to solve it, by
a) disabling all plugins (turned out the SEO plugins had something to do with the missing HTML encoding of the editor field on the page)
b) re-uploading a fresh version of Enfold to the website via FTP – no idea how that changed anything, but it did work.
But, much to our disappointment, the ‘circle of death’ has returned – and even with all plugins disabled and all files re-uploaded to the site, it still hangs there.
I really hope you can give us some suggestions, otherwise we seem to have to flush 3 months of work on this site down the drain.

Hi oestersund!
Unfortunately that functionality doesn’t exist right now. You can save a layout template from the top right corner of the ALB but it doesn’t allow you to make modifications to the template that are then reflected on any other page using it.
Each usage is a copy+paste of the original at the time of loading it into your layout.

Devin
I seem to be having trouble with the “Text Block” content element in the Avia Layout Builder. The first occurrence of it on the page always displays nothing in the visual tab and “<p>Click here to add your own text</p>” in the text tab. Event though before clicking the edit button it is clear there is different content in it.
In addition when I drag a “Fullwidth Easy Slider” media element onto the layout at the top and save, everything else gets delete from the page.
Also, while I can’t definitively pin point how this issue occurs, it seems to be nearly unavoidable. Sometimes if I move elements around on the page layout, other elements (but not all) will disappear and be deleted.
I am only experiencing these 3 issues on a single page. My wordpress version was a little out of date, so I just upgraded to 3.9.1 to no avail. I then also tried deactivating all of my plugins and I still am getting the issues. I’ve seen a few other posts on here with some of these issues, but did not find any solutions which worked.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Dan
a few moments ago I asked how to hide widget titles- a user kindly answered this, then closed my thread. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/hide-widget-title/
However the offered solution does not seem to do anything on my site- any suggestions?
thisi s what was suggested- I pasted the contents below the ‘remove’ to quick css, but no luck.
remove:
.widgettitle{ display:none; }
hide (still takes space):
.widgettitle{ visibility:hidden; }

Hi!
I’m not sure if we can offer a fix in this case. That style of mobile menu was removed when the header layout options were added in because it didn’t have good enough mobile support for the new options.
The issue is that the sub menus aren’t actually rendered in the browsers layout and are floating on top. So any kind of overflow trick that I can think of wouldn’t actually increase the users viewport if the content on that page isn’t big enough for the menus to be already visible.
Best regards,
Devin
Hey!
Somehow that pages layout has gotten corrupted/broken. Either in saving or moving content around a color section has gotten nested inside another and its causing the content to be unable to be loaded in correctly.
The quickest way to fix it is to create a new page and keep the new page open while also keeping the current page open in a second window. Then duplicate the layout from scratch with all of the same content.
Once that is done you can remove all of the content from the broken page, delete it and use the new one. If you need the same url (the slug name) you need to delete the old page and remove it from the WordPress trash.
Once again however we will not be addressing any other questions in this topic.

Devin
Hi Micheal0424!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
.page-id-9 #av_section_1 {
height: 75px;
min-height: 75px;
}
.page-id-9 #av_section_1 .content {
padding-top: 20px;
}
Cheers!

Hey Marc!
This will help reduce the spacing a little bit:
.container .content {
padding-top: 0 !important;
}

I am using Enfold on two of my sites. After the last update, all social icons in the top menu disappeared when I look at the sites in the Mozilla Firefox. They do work in Explorer. If I use Firefox to log into my sites and want to check icon settings (Enfold | Header Layout), the selection box for “header social icons” is missing.
Hi Josue,
I have found a piece of code that helps to adjust the padding for the color sections:
.avia-section { min-height: 30px;
padding-top: 5px; }
I am having problems reducing more of the white padding both above and below the color sections. I have tried the above code with different values and also the white spacers to no avail. It is also more prominent when viewed on a mobile device, any thoughts on how I can reduce more of the white space that is present?
Kind Regards
Marc

Hi t3lgroup!
You can turn on Custom CSS class field for Avia Layout Builder elements firstly (please see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/ )
And give your button a custom class, in the example it is “floating” then you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
.floatting a {
position: fixed!important;
z-index: 99;
left: 5%;
top: 50%;
}
You can change its position on your page by adjusting left and top values

Hey Bill!
Have you uploaded your logo in desired size? If so, please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
.html_header_top.html_logo_center .logo {
left: 0;
-webkit-transform: translate(, 0);
-moz-transform: translate(0, 0);
-ms-transform: translate(0, 0);
transform: translate(0, 0);
}
If that does not work, please post the link to your website so we can take a look
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.responsive .logo a, .responsive .logo img {
max-width: 80%;
height: auto !important;
margin-top: 10px!important;
}}

Hey!
You can use the WordPress page ID to target the selectors on that page and then it will only effect that one specific page.
With dev tools, inspect the page and look for the page-id-1234 on the #top selector. It’ll look a bit different depending on the page/post/plugin custom post type. For example, if you inspect this page here on the forums the page could be targeted like this:
#top.postid-263088 .some-selector {color: red; }
That postid would be page-id-## on a page etc.
Cheers!

Hey!
The border on the right is from the browser. We can’t change that one.
For the margin on the last column element you can target it directly with:
#top.page-id-2251 .avia-builder-el-48 {
margin-bottom: 0px !important;
}
then add that to a media query if its only for a specific size that its happening.

Devin
Hi,
first, let me explain my setup:
I’m using Justified Image Grid from codecanyon.net in conjunction with NextGen Gallery and FooBox as my pictures provider in WordPress.
My frontpage is configured to display first a set of pictures and then the newest three or six blog posts in masonry style.
Problem is located in the pictures part. It activates 2 different lightboxes. First Foobox and behind the built in lightbox.
If i deactivate the lightbox completly as described the blog post part stop working.
Is there a way to stop the lightbox only for pictures?
Right now, my site is in maintenance mode but i can provide credentials via email.
Best Regards,
Shashahan

Hi!
There was a typo on the code, my fault (unclosed bracket). Try with this:
/* This will only be applied on desktop */
@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {
#mobilecolumns{
display: none;
}
}
/* This will only be applied on mobiles */
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
#mobilecolumns{
display: block;
}
#desktopcolumns{
display: none;
}
}
Cheers!

Hello there,
I’ve been trying to get the ‘My Account’ menu item (which directs users to their WooCommerce my-account page) styled using CSS so that the link stands out. Now, I’ve followed an earlier thread, but it doesn’t exactly do what I want, can somebody give me a pointer as to what I’m missing?
The site is on http://www.digitaldesktops.nl/ and the CSS I have so far is:
li#menu-item-3151 .avia-menu-fx { display: none; }
li#menu-item-3151 a {background-color: red!important; color: white!important;height: 30px!important; margin-top: 43px; border-radius: 10px; }
The problem is that when I hoover over the button, the submenu items are all over the place.
just checked, and it’s allready in <section id=”nav_menu-2″ class=”widget clearfix widget_nav_menu” style=”width: 150px; margin-top: -15px; margin-bottom: -15px; height: 160px; background-color: rgb(223, 227, 233);”
If you use firefox, you can press <shift> + <F5> to open the developer tools. The inspector helps to locate the elements and show you the size. There is also a 3d view that also helps in some cases to see the elements even better.
There you also see all the CSS code that affects the element and can do live changes to see how it would look like.
It helped me to figure out that it is in the section mentioned above.
So i added in the developer tool your css code, modified it a bit and what i got in the end is:
#nav_menu-2 {
background-color: #dfe3e9;
height: 160px;
width: 150px;
margin-top: -15px;
margin-bottom: -15px;
}
CSS basics: .menu{ } is for a class while #menu{ } is for an ID
If you want to make advanced selections you can check for the selectors here: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_selectors.asp
Think i would be a terrible support member. slow and writing to much. at least i help the real support :P
Hey renz54!
1) Versuche dieses Problem mit CSS Code zu beheben. Füge nachfolgenden Code in das Quick CSS Feld ein (oder in die Child Theme style.css Datei):
#top .avia-icon-list .iconlist_title {
margin-bottom: 4px;
}
2) Versuche einmal diesen Code in das Quick CSS Feld einzufügen – er teilt die Überschrifte, wenn diese zu lang werden:
h1,h2,h3{
word-wrap: break-word;
}
3) Ändert ihr vielleicht die Farbe mit dem Quick CSS Feld ab? Dann würde das Quick CSS Feld die Einstellungen überschreiben. Ihr könnt die Farbe auch mit dsiesem Code setzen:
#top #footer .widgettitle{ color: #ffffff; }
Best regards,
Peter
