    Topic: Simple Landing Page with background image

    Okay, I tried importing the Coming Soon demo just to see how the page was built using a background image. Apparently it was done using a Quick CSS entry tagged for the CSS item .main. I could not see the white text on the page since the demo import did not work. I replied to this on “https://kriesi.at/support/topic/coming-soon-page-is-blank-upon-importing-the-demo/”. I do not believe this has been rectified either.

    The issue here is I need a site landing page that functions like the coming soon demo so I can load four graphic buttons for users to select to where they want to go. From there I need a standard site like the full restaurant demo.

    So the question is: If I import the full restaurant demo site HOW do I create a site home page like the Coming Soon demo? It seems to be the solution provided in the forum using a quick css entry for the scalable page background would be for all pages. I want it limited to ONLY the home page.

    I see why it’s not working – I deleted this css –

    And the scrolling works again – is there a different way to have a fixed banner that will not interfere with the scrolling function?

    I am baffled by your response as I have opened the page in Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Chrome. On an iPhone, iPad, Kindle, and laptop, a Mac and in Windows and the slider loads each time. I have loaded it from different IP addresses as well and have no problem. So I don’t know why you can’t see it and don’t know what else to do. I have uploaded the slider to another website in case that is helpful and the link is below for that page.

    That discussion ended rather abruptly, so i’m asking this:
    1. When CAN you actually use shortcodes in enfold components. Specifically which fields allow this?
    2. Also, how would one go about solving this particular issue at hand?

    The code should be targeting only the slideshow, based on what Nikko provided.

    Regarding google translator, there are many plugins out there that you can try, to see which one fit your needs the best.
    Most of theme, also have proper hooks, that will be used to be placed at the top position, that enfold has for those flags to be added.

    The code provided will affect only the mobile device. Please remove the old code and add the code Niko provided at the top of Quick CSS section in Enfold > General Styling.

    You may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.

    Please try to hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” and review the site again.

    that just moves the line from between the insta and twitter logo to between the facebook and twitter logo.

    lets try an easier method. Instead of trying to fix this issue can you send me the code to remove all the lines from the social media elements, in desktop, tablet and mobile please?

    Hey Guys,

    After my website got a small hack, i decided to improve the security of my WordPress installation.
    After doing so, with some plugins, i realise that my top menu is not showing properly anymore.
    It’s looks like there is a problem with the normal menu & the responsive one.
    I tried disabling all the plugins and also re-import the the theme via FTP.
    I suspect that WP cache can be the problem but even with clearing it, it doesn’t change anything.
    But no joy.
    Could you let me know if you see something in the code that looks strange or if you can spot the problem?

    Hope it can be fixed without too much hassle.

    Edit : Re-uploaded the theme file once more and it looks like it did the trick this time….

    Hi Nikko / Vinay – thanks for your suggestion and this code will work if we can target it just the top banner image (not all images on the page) and that too only in mobile version. Nikko’s suggestion get applies to all images in mobile view.

    I have a contact form on my Contact Us page, and suddenly, without having changed anything it stopped working. It was only when a client emailed me to say that she had contacted me through the contact form that I realised.

    Really annoyed, as I checked it, and couldn’t see any problems with it. It was one of the forms that came with the theme. I have since changed it to a Contact Form 7, and it works fine.
