    Hi, I follow the instruction on this page https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/example-of-the-menu-left-logo-center-overflow-widget-right and get the results exactly as shown on the page. However, this option only use the burger menu. I just have 2 things I need to clarifies:

    Is it possible NOT to use the burger menu on desktop?
    Is it possible to use social icon on the right instead of the Widget?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
    It looks like the social icons are shortcode in a text widget, if this is correct please try recreating them from scratch and then use a “Custom HTML” widget.

    Best regards,

    Hey Community. Responses are welcome.

    My Missing Features:

    – A responsive social media bar as element for implement into page, widgets, footer, or something else, based from the defined social media profiles in the theme options, sortable, with different designs (rectangle, round) and icons, colored as original colors, with and without hover. Social media is one big thing. Why should you hide this in such small top bars or in the base? No, the post bar is not a real alternative. Not only does it look horrible, as from previous years, it is a “share” bar, not even with the links to the owners’ Social-Media channels. And I don’t want to integrate countless plugins

    – round image option also for team members including color options for field below

    – tab section has no color options, like theme options

    – alignment options (like center) for footer elements (for mobiles as example)

    – one section for “real” full width images for different devices. It’s so complicated to use your elements. We must jump between slider elements and color sections to implement image sets for every responsive view, that the image (and content in foreground like H1+H2) and Buttons looks good everywhere at every device. Can you make this better, more intuitive, easier? Today, we must define for 6 devices like 28″ desktop, a 19″ desktop, a Tablet and small and bigger mobiles. It’s clear, a little Artwork in Photoshop is a must-have. But to create many sections: I#M not sure it is a chance to improve it. Same for content in foreground: h1+h2, + buttons: Many scenarios, at which place (right, top, bottom) is it shown (to cut no faces or important objects). Not an over dimensioned layer slider which load massive code.

    – diagonal section border: on top option is missing, and top + bottom with degree would be nice. And of course: Some more SVG/CSS options would be nice, and Theme color option / alternative option.

    – all fonts and contents (also from google API, CAPTCHA, maps etc): “host (cache) local option”. There is too much traffic, which is loaded from other sources which push the page speed time. Please try, to use local server caching instead Google fonts or other stuff is loaded from other sources, like far away US-Servers. In my example: I have engaged a Dev: For YouTube videos: The preview image and fonts is loaded and cached and shown: Nothing is loaded from other servers at page load. Only, if user click the play button, than is all loaded (with Hint to GDPR)., I must not upload a preview image or something else. Please think about. I can deliver the script.

    I work many years with enfold on many clients. But this cases occur again and again, and eta man extra hours or extra elements or workarounds.

    Please let your users decide, it is useful and recommended.

    Best

    Hey lifefitnessnz,
    Sorry for the late reply, as I understand your question you would like 3 custom social media icons in a row in your footer widget.
    For this I recommend using the “Custom HTML” widget and add the Icon element shortcode to it, to get the shortcode open a new post using the Classic Editor and choose Icon from the shortcode wand tool:
    2020-02-06-055201
    Then create each of your icons and design to suit adding your links and in the developer section add a custom class such as “footer-icons”
    2020-02-06-060036
    then add the shortcode to your widget:
    2020-02-06-060316
    This is the shortcode I used in this example:

    [av_font_icon icon='ue8f4' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' size='40px' position='left' color='' link='manually,#' linktarget='' animation='' id='' custom_class='footer-icons' av_uid='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon]
    [av_font_icon icon='ue8f2' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' size='40px' position='left' color='' link='manually,#' linktarget='' animation='' id='' custom_class='footer-icons' av_uid='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon]
    [av_font_icon icon='ue8ec' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' size='40px' position='left' color='' link='manually,#' linktarget='' animation='' id='' custom_class='footer-icons' av_uid='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon]

    This is the result:
    2020-02-06-060730
    They should show in a row.
    If you wish to use the image element instead, follow the same steps with the image shortcode and be sure to add the custom class and if your images show as a column like this:
    2020-02-06-062314
    then add this css to your Enfold Theme Options > General Styling > Quick CSS field

    #footer .widget_text .custom-html-widget .footer-icons {
    	display: inline !important;
    }

    which should correct to a row:
    2020-02-06-062614
    If this doesn’t help then please create an example and link to it so we can help adjust your css.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Ismael,
    now the standard icons work as expected again. But my social icons in the footer do not show up, i assume because they were in the icont-font which was deleted?
    I used the following code in a widget to show the social icons. Do you know the right icon-code?
    <ul class="noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_3"><li class="social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_1"><a target="_blank" aria-label="Link to Facebook" href="https://www.facebook.com/VOLTARIS" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Facebook" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Facebook</span></a></li><li class="social_bookmarks_xing av-social-link-xing social_icon_2"><a target="_blank" aria-label="Link to Xing" href="https://www.xing.com/companies/voltarisgmbh" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Xing" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Xing</span></a></li><li class="social_bookmarks_linkedin av-social-link-linkedin social_icon_3"><a target="_blank" aria-label="Link to LinkedIn" href="https://de.linkedin.com/company/voltarisgmbh" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="LinkedIn" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">LinkedIn</span></a></li></ul>

    Hi Helle,

    I can see the social links in the socket fine on my end, and you don’t have any social icons added in your footer widgets. If you are not seeing that on your end then please try to load the site in an incognito/private window to see if that helps.

    Hi EWBailey354,

    I apologize I was looking at the Stillpointtherapy’s link when I replied.
    And the link that was given by cherrmann was meant to fix the icons showing as square boxes in some sites.
    We don’t have Social Follow/Profile in the widget area, it’s fixed to show in the Header or Footer (in the copyright area).
    You can use a plugin for the widget area.

    I have inserted footer icons into my Widgets. They stopped displaying. I have the latest theme in place.

    I am having the same trouble. The link referred to above it close to Greek to me. I’d ideally like to get social icons in the footer/widget area, but that appears to be rocket science with all the different threads. Feeling overwhelmed and disappointed with the theme.

    Hello Kriesi.
    I cannot solve my issue with my website. Since I created it on WordPress, all social media icons, and any other widgets are represented with square boxes. Can you help me to fix that step by step please. I have seen on the forum that other people have this issue but I didn’t understand your answers or what to do exactly and how.
    Thanks

    I am using a left sidebar, like your demo version “consulting”

    My options are “Logo and Main Menu” placed in a sidebar,
    Below Logo > Menu there is the Social-Icons and a possibility for a widget-area.

    Is it possible, and how, to reorder those elements like:
    1. Logo
    2. Widget-Area (basically i want to display a Telephone-Number below the Logo, but the Header-Options where i can do this usually is not available
    3. Social-Icons
    4. Menu

    #1172700

    Here is the access, the widget cointains social icons.
    You can also check standard social media in vertical menu they don’t appear only empty squares.

    Hey adGroupMarketing,
    Sorry for the late reply, I see from your screenshot that your browser width seems to be about 1024px, I also see that your mobile menu is active until about 988px, would you like the mobile menu to stay active until 1100px where the main menu will be all on one line?
    If so please try this code in the General Styling > Quick CSS field or in the WordPress > Customize > Additional CSS field:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1100px) and (min-width: 768px) {
      .responsive #top .av_mobile_menu_tablet .av-main-nav .menu-item {
        display: none !important;
      }

      .responsive #top .av_mobile_menu_tablet .av-main-nav .menu-item-avia-special {
          display: block !important;
      }
    .responsive #top #wrap_all .av_mobile_menu_tablet .main_menu {
        top: 0;
        left: auto;
        right: 0;
        display: block !important;
    }
    .responsive #top .av_mobile_menu_tablet #header_main_alternate {
        display: none !important;
    }
    }
    @media only screen and (max-width: 1100px) and (min-width: 989px) {
    .responsive.html_mobile_menu_tablet.html_header_top #top #main {
        padding-top: 150px !important;
        margin: 0;
    }
    }

    To have less space between sub-menu items, please try this css:

    #top #menu-supermarket-shop.av-subnav-menu > li > a {
        padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px !important;
    }

    To make your sidebar widget bullet points a down arrow, please try this css:

    #top .widget_nav_menu ul ul li:before {
        content: "\2BC6" !important;
    }

    The missing social icons was due to a change the WordPress v5.2.3 core files, I have applied the patch to your site so they now show.
    Please check these solutions and once you are satisfied we will look at your other issues, typically we ask that you create one thread for each issue because it makes it easier to address and for other users to find solutions, thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Must say Enfolds support is very good. But when people ask for things outside of the scope of support and outside of the scope of the theme – Kriesi and team are not responsible for this level of design support. This goes for any WordPress theme.

    The admins go above and beyond in a majority of support cases overstepping the boundary of support and custom web design.

    However I agree that minor bug fixing has been let down this year only because the team are trying to launch a major new release. The workflow would be a nightmare if lots of small changes kept getting made to the core theme while the team is working on a big new release!

    After the new release I am sure the team at Kriesi will focus on bug fixes.

    Keep up the good work guys. Looking forward to the new version!

    Side note:
    Social Icons fix:
    Workaround for the social icons not showing – download the fix file published on one of the other threads by the admins and set social icons elsewhere to open in same window if they still aren’t showing.

    Instagram feed widget not working:
    Download Smash Balloons Instagram plugin – works well and appears to be an efficient plugin (free version). This problem has nothing to do with Enfold – Instagram changed the way access tokens work so not really Kriesi’s fault! Realistically a bit of work required to update the built in feature so expect an update after the new release – will take time to fix.

    Safari cookie control bug:
    Not sure if this one has been fixed yet. I think it has…..

    Thanks for the help, awesome!

    May i ask for another question? I tried to insert the social icons in a widget. But they look very different than in the normal footer. How can i achieve to look white with the colored mouseovers like in the normal social footer icons?

    And is it possible to have an list-style-image before each submenu font?
    I tried the following code but it doesn´t work:

    /*sub-menu-bullets*/
    #top .av-main-nav ul a:before{
          list-style-type: circle;
      list-style-position: inside;
      list-style-image:url('path-to-imag.jpg');

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you for the update. Unfortunately, nothing changes on my end (I cleared cache and opened in incognito on mobile to check the menu bar). I am trying to get the logo on the left-hand side, widget-button in the center of the mobile-menu-bar and hamburger-menu on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I am not finding the correct CSS. May you can help? Yes, I was hiding the social-icons on mobile to achieve the mobile-menu the way I mentioned. :)

    Hi,

    Thank you following up.

    Would you like to remove the social icons on mobile view? If so, then you can use the following css code; it will also move the mobile menu further to the right beside the header widget.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
        .responsive #top #header #header_main nav .social_bookmarks {
    	display: none;
        }

        .avia-menu.av_menu_icon_beside {
    	padding-right: 13px;
    	padding-left: 13px;
        }
    }

    Hey,

    I have some trouble with social media icons that I added to one of the footer widgets.
    Using short codes like this:

    [av_font_icon icon='uf16d' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='_blank' size='30px' position='left' animation='none' color='blue' av_uid='av-1bmzy' id='social-icon' custom_class='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon]

    Unfortunately, they are not visible anymore.

    Looking forward to your support.

    I was asked to open a new thread:

    Please read all of this – The work around I have suggested is a temporary fix and helps isolate the CSS that is causing the problem.

    The fix file for social media icons missing after wordpress update does not work if you place the social icons in a sidebar widget with open in new window set.
    This is something I do for all of my customers as it removes the need to add a plugin to handle social icons.

    Please can you add this to the fix list?
    This will affect all Enfold Customers not just my own site

    In the meantime, I have only upgraded 1 customer to the latest version of WordPress so I can live with the problem for a few days if necessary.

    WORKAROUND: If you change the shortcode setting to open in same window it works. So something is wrong with the CSS when you add open in new window in the icon shortcode.

    I have a lot of sites with Enfold.

    Since the latest updates I have issues with the social Icons.

    https://www.kundendialog.ch/ Here as example, no header icons. Header icons are set in Theme Options -> Header -> additional Elements.
    Latest Enfold 4.6.3.1 installed.

    http://new.officelab.ch/ here, I have social icons in the header, but older version of Enfold: 4.5.7
    But also there, some strange icons error. I place in a post: [av_font_icon icon='ue832' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='' size='40px' position='left' animation='deactivated' color='' av_uid='' custom_class='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon] icon is shown.

    I put the same thing in the Footer widget : not shown. I added it via PHP to the footer like do_shortcode(“[av_font_icon icon='ue832' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='' size='40px' position='left' animation='deactivated' color='' av_uid='' custom_class='' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_font_icon]“); not shown too.

    There is an HTML output, but the icon is missing, as in the new version in the header too (Html there, but Icon code missing).

    Since last update, the social Icons in the header are gone.
