Hi eyeCreative,
You can use this plugin to view the themes thumbnail settings: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
For the portfolio items you can set it Crop and then regenerate your image thumbnails so that the newly regenerated sizes are cropped to your specific size.
Just note that the theme will still be resizing the image to fit the column choices and css sizing but will use the base image size you designate as the source.

Devin
That is completely different than what I’m suggesting and really we are not able to walk you through creating it. We don’t have an open book for every effect possible with the LayerSlider.
What that appears to be is a LayerSlider slideshow set to autorotation with multiple slides of the same image repeated and animated on top of itself 8 times.
So this image: http://clientbased.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/CBS-client-logos.jpg is in the LayerSlider 8 times and each is animated to get that effect.
The exact details of it are unknown without seeing it live.
For the above settings, if you have multiple images in your slideshow and they are not animating you are probably on WordPress 3.6 but not Enfold version 1.9.1. If you are not, then you need to add multiple images in order for the slider to animate.
i am using blog posts as one kind of content (clients projects) – because the client has mulitple projects which will need updating frequently so i thought it would be simpler for them to add new pages or edit old ones (particularly as i am using the advanced page templates elsewhere and that would be a bit of a stretch for the client) – so have created a seperate category for these project posts.
I can hide the the author/date etc happily in the blog grid page where they will all be accessed from by website visitors BUT when the post displays on its own page it also displays all that stuff under the featured image (like author date etc etc) which i dont want to show.
can you tell me how/where to remove/hide that (am ok with editing code)
or suggest another alternative if thats tricky
thanks
Ok, so we still have some outstanding issues with this theme and would really appreciate some solutions as we can’t go live with our site until these are rectified. I’ve put all our outstanding issues into this one topic and tagged it appropriately to help other users encountering similar problems.
1. Images don’t appear to be responsive when added using either the text block or image media element. The only solution I’ve found it to use an Image Slider, but this isn’t ideal for single images needed in columns etc.
2. Promo boxes just don’t seem to work correctly in IE8 as the button just floats out of place and covers text.
3. When you roll over an image added into an iconbox it expands vertically pushing content down slightly. Think this might be something to do with the ‘span.image-overflow-inside’ class? The highlighted area always seems bigger than the actual image too.
4. We can’t find any working solution to setting the height (BG colour) of iconbox elements when the browser is less than a certain width. As we also want to reduce text size when viewed on a tablet then this is very important and any solutions or feedback from anyone who has already managed to do this would be greatly appreciated here. This is covered in another topic though and Nick was looking into it.
5. Vimeo and YouTube embeds do seem to scale but their container doesn’t resulting in a huge vertical black area above and below video in mobiles browsers. This is especially apparent when embedding vimeo content. Some of this was covered in another topic but that is now 6 days old with no reply, so we’ve copied it here.
Many thanks and I really do appreciate your time and help.
Nope. That didn’t help. I was asking what those settings would be?
The options are as follows…
Slideshow Image Size
(I check ‘no scalling’ which doesn’t work either, makes it smaller than it really is)
Slideshow Transition
( Checked to ‘Slide’)
Autorotation active?
(Checked to ‘Yes’)
Slideshow autorotation duration
(You have several options to choose from beginning from 3 seconds to 100)
The image just sites on the screen and does nothing.
None of these options allow the big long strip of logos to scroll from left to right in a seamless endless loop????
PS. This is what I want to do…

Not sure if this post has been missed?
Could you help me with the gallery? I have mentioned this on the forum but only one person has gotten back to me and the answer didn’t help. Normally the forum has answered all my questions and I’m wondering if this problem is hard to find a solution for?
I am a photographer and some of my images are not the same dimensions of my gallery format. I need the gallery to show the whole image (not cropping) with the image centered vertical and horizontally. This is mainly because not all clients will click to view in the lightbox and because of this will not see the correct representation of the image in the gallery. I also need to keep the responsiveness of the gallery and not break anything in the rest of the theme doing this.
I feel like saying I want it to make me a cup of tea for me also lol
You can see the problem here:
http://chriswardphotography.net/galleries/weddings/
Some of the crops are really bad and don’t show faces.
Is this possible?
I’m having a problem with IE10 loading images. It seems if you hover over the image for the first time sometime you get the image display badly. See you link:
http://www.chriswardphotography.com/test-area/examples/image-test2.jpg
Quick hover shows the first error in display, if you hover over again it corrects and shows as normal.
That is very strange, Peter.
When I check the images url I see they are correct, ending with .png without the php var. So I don’t know where to find the var that causes the lightbox not to work.
How can I find out what causes the issue?
Regards,
Antonio
It worked :-) Thanks for that
Sorted it so have closed the post
‘ doesn’t work and " is not a simple quote… ;-)
It a little bug to fix. I don’t want to “tinker” with my blog titles…
Any other idea ?
Thanks and regards.
I think a plugin (or maybe some custom php code) adds a php var to the images. Thre url looks like
http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/hhrtw.png?cfc497
and the lightbox won’t accept this url address as image because the extension must be png, jpg, etc.
Make sure that the url of the image looks like
http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/hhrtw.png
Hi,
afaik there’s no margin around the logo but just a 5px padding on the top & bottom of the logo image. You can remove it with following css code
.logo img {
padding: 0;
}
If the code doesn’t help you please post a link to your website and I’ll check the logo position and css code.
Sorry didn’t have time yesterday. Once my son is home I cant get anything done :-) I’m going to sort it now and let you know.
I added the above CSS, and the featured images (or, in my case, placeholders) are still showing.
please try to replace
//trigger displaying of thumbnails
gallery.on('avia_start_animation', function()
{
images.each(function(i)
{
var image = $(this);
setTimeout(function(){ image.addClass('avia_start_animation') }, (i * 110));
});
}).trigger('avia_start_animation');
with
//trigger displaying of thumbnails
gallery.on('avia_start_animation', function()
{
images.each(function(i)
{
var image = $(this);
setTimeout(function(){ image.addClass('avia_start_animation') }, (i * 110));
});
});
gallery.trigger('avia_start_animation');
I’m having a very similar issue: If I include a widget area with a google map in a tab that is not the very first one, the map only loads half and the rest remains grey when the tab with the map on it is activated. After a resize of the browser window, the rest appears.

I’m having an issue with the Easy Slider. I have 6 images in my slider and I have it set to auto-rotate.
However, after the second slide it stops working. It doesn’t go on to the third slide or keep rotating. Just stops.
http://webchic.co.il/abital/
How do I fix it?
Thanks
Hi,
You can add this on your custom.css or Quick CSS:
.slide-image, .big-preview.single-big, .small-preview {
display: none !important;
}
This will temporarily hide all of the featured images.

Ismael
Hi,
You can use the Color Section element for the image sections between the content sections.
For the arrow, you need to create it manually. I think this thread will help: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8329035/jquery-scroll-a-div-up-and-down-using-two-buttons

Ismael
Glad Nick could help :)
Let us know if you have any other questions or issues.
Hi jdrakeproductions,
Do you know which computers and browsers this isn’t happening on? Some older setups like IE8 will not be able to render things correctly but all newer browsers should have no issues.
I have heard that iPads are having issues with the fixed background images but the last thing I read on it from Kriesi was that it wasn’t fixable yet (at least for that specific ipad instance).
So if we have a bit more information we might be able to help with whats going on.
Regards,
Devin
On your Advanced Layout Editor layout drag and drop an Easy Slider into your layout. Next, click the button to add an image and add your image(s) into the slideshow.
Now that your images are in the slideshow you can adjust the options to make it transition, autorotation, autorotation duration and that is all there is to it.
To see an example of adding an Easy Slider watch this video at the marked time where I add one in and modify its settings: https://vimeo.com/64927358#t=183
Hi Devin.
Thanks for replying. As mentioned in my original request what you’ve said is what Ismael said originally but doesn’t help. I know the logos are one long strip (That’s the obvious part) but what exact settings are used to create ‘Auto Rotate’? I can’t find it.
This does not make sense…
“You then add that as a “slide” for any of the sliders and make it auto rotate with similar images showing multiple inline logos.”
I can assure you that I am not an idiot. So far this has been the only thing that has stumped me with the theme. It is surprisingly difficult to make this simple transition happen. I am not alone as others have asked the same question and have given up. I almost gave up too and had to do a hack version just to keep my client happy.
So could I please get step by step instructions on how to do it as originally requested. Even screen shots would be bloody nice.
Regards
Jamie
Thanks for the reply Nick,
My apologies for not quite grasping what you’re asking for. Does the link to the webpage I supplied not provide you with what you’re needing? Could you be a bit more specific by what you mean when you say “show something like a page with some image somewhere”?
Again, apologies for my confusion.
POSTING issues. I updated to 3.6 when it was released and while the site worked, I can not add images to any posts or schedule posts. I was hoping the new version would solve that, but it doesn’t seem to…. any ideas? THANKS!
Okay, I was able to fix the thumbnails. The problem was that I did not have the Graphics Draw library on my server. I installed it, regenerated thumbnails, and they now look fine. I also found that featured images crop correctly for grid on some but not all of the custom preview image sizes in blog settings – I’m using portfolio-small and that works for me.
BUT the featured image in the blog post itself is still not working as you can see here: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s260/sh/c91b9098-ad45-42bd-9c1f-2a0f49e01922/38d885c2636b3005374370f92bb22c3e
On the Enfold theme, this 1030×284 image is supposed to crop to 1030×360 and scale to a left aligned preview image, with the ability to expand it to its full size. My featured image does not crop to 1030×360 and instead only scales with a right alignment.
You can also see it right aligning here: http://vmwpprod.mantis-tgi.com/?p=2334
It also does this when I set the blog post format to “Gallery”. If I don’t set the blog post format to “Gallery,” the created gallery scales correctly to its settings in the blog post itself. If I do set it to Gallery, it right aligns and squishes it smaller than its settings in the preview.
Hi Curt,
Yes, it is responsive by default but relative to the viewport to keep the whole thing full screen. IE http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/
