  • I’m using iThemes security, a simple password protected and a scalable vector graphics plugin, all of which I’ve used with Enfold before. It seems like this is with the latest release of Enfold?

Hi Yigit, I changed a setting in my ithemes security that allows you to edit the files now. SORRY for that, let me know how it goes.

Hello, like many others I did receive this message:
    public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/html-helper.class.php
I was able to troubleshoot and fix that, but while doing that I noticed that another message was there via wordfence scan.

File appears to be malicious: wp-includes/pomo/text.php
This file appears to be installed by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: “@gzuncompress(@base64_decode($________))){setcookie”. The infection type is: Backdoor:PHP/B4BK2tA.

I am not sure how this happened as everything is generally up to date. I have wordfence, sucuri, ithemes security.

Can someone please look at the private content for login info and please advise? I fear the same thing happened to my other sites since I have the same on them.

    Hey,

Just an update. It was the iThemes Security plugin>I turned off 404 Detection settings and, et viola, they returned! :)

Thanks all the same for you kind support.

    Cheers

OK, I don’t have many plugins — though iThemes Security may be an interaction? You have permission to change as needed, but please let me know…I’ll post login info in the private field below…

    Hi Andy,

I’ve deactivated iThemes security plugin (and all others) but the problem stayed.
Now I’ve completely removed ENFOLD via FTP and replaced it for a brand new one.
    The problem stays.

I’v deleted the child-theme we use and… although the site doesn’t look like before, due to losing all custom changes, the functionalities (contactforms and visuals) work like normal…

Is there any chance, you can take a look why the child-theme suddenly doesn’t work anymore?
And / or export the settings and create a new child theme?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi,

well, we would need to deactivate iThemes security as well.

However, there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

As stated before, feel free to deactivate the plugins exept iThemes security.
We have disabled all plugins, the problem stays.

    Here you go Jordan:
    See private section..

Please do NOT deactivate: “iThemes Security Pro” plugin because then you cannot login anymore.

In reply to: sub menu not working

I deactivated Ithemes security and tested.
    Menus updated.
But when I reactivated Ithemes Security I could still adjust menus so something is weird..

Anyway I will keep an eye on it and let you know if there are further problems

    thanks

    #645788

Thanks, I was able to roll it back to 3.54 with godaddy before your quick response. The option says update to 3.61 now. Everything is working ok at the moment. The plugins I have are

    Copyrightpro (inactive)
    disable comments (inactive)
    ithemes security (active)
    updraft plus (active)
    w3 total cache (inactive)
    wordpress importer (inactive)
wp testimonials with rotator widget (inactive)
    yoast seo (active)

What should I do as far as updating the site without getting errors this time?

No, I’m using iThemes Security Pro.

    #533640

    Hi Andy,

    Unfortunately that didn’t work either.

I have managed to get access to the database, removed all ithemes security entries and cleaned up the htaccess file also.

The problem is still there I get a 403 on the three font files!

I have checked permissions on every folder and file in the structure leading to those font files and all seem correct.

    Any suggestions?

    #531139

    Hi Andy,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

I have de-activated all plugins. Installed the latest Enfold update too (3.4.1). The issue is still there.

I think its htaccess related. Deleting themes security doesn’t remove the permissions it writes so there is something preventing the fonts from loading, I know it writes to the database too (however I don’t have access to this at present – otherwise I would completely remove all ithemes and start fresh with the settings)…will try to get this tomorrow.

Any help in pointing me to the correct part of the htaccess file would be great. You can view when logged in here

    Thanks

    Hi team,

Im suddenly getting a 403 error on three font files

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/nczcv1glgjw0r07/Screenshot%202015-10-28%2016.28.51.png?dl=0

Have disabled all plugins, disabled and refreshed browser cache. still there

Checked all file and folder permissions…folders 755, files 644

Re-uploaded a new theme files via FTP overwriting enfold folder.

Im working on a few sites at the minute, I added ithemes security to them and Im wondering if this has added something to htaccess that I’m overlooking and is preventing the fonts from loading…all my arrows have disappeared.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi creators of Enfold,

I’m trying to setup a password-protected page on my Enfold site, that results in an error 403.

    I have the following plugins:
    – Akismet
    – E-newsletter
    – iThemes Security (deactivated)
    – Jetpack
    – Lazy Load
    – Recent Post Slider
    – Responsive Lightbox
    – Single Latest Post Lite
    – Ultimate Coming Soon Page
    – Wangguard
    – Yoast SEO

Do you have any idea what’s wrong?

    All the best,

My website is running enfold theme. I m using a shared webhosting service with following specs: 100mhz with 256 mb ram

i m only running the basic plugins, woocommerce, w3 total cache and ithemes security.

Problem is, when there is more than 4 users in my website at the same time, it will consume max 256 mb ram and the entire server crashes. Is this normal?

I ve never encountered this with another theme.

    #478997

Hi Josue, thanks for explaining that.
I think the cause was that using the iThemes security plugin I renamed the wp-content folder which caused problems.

I applied the code for the socket facebook icon but it has not changed the colour.

    #468606

    samharry –

Savings/updating posts is slower than normal and certainly a lot slower than on other sites on my server using a different theme. I updated a few posts and it did take much longer than typical but it did eventually work.

The white screen of death has happened to me once before… Not sure if it’s the same root cause but in my case the iThemes Security (formerly Better WordPress Security) File Change Detection feature was bombing out. I eventually disabled that one feature and it worked. Not the case for me this time.

    Hi,

I noticed there is a bug with enfold theme and the famous “iThemes security” plugin admin settings page.
The section dedicated to file change detection is broken, the files list cannot be retrieved. (I am using WP 4.2 and the latest Enfold theme version)

I confirm the root cause is the enfold theme since I already tried disabling all plugins and tried with other themes. Only the enfold theme was found to be the problem.

The JS errors displayed is “HierarchyRequestError: DOM Exception 3: A Node was inserted somewhere it doesn’t belong.”

Any idea of what could be the problem here ?

    Best regards

Since I have not yet been able to definitively figure out the issue I am posting some more info here, in the hopes that it helps someone else figure out another angle to try.

I’m bolding the plugins which are unique to a particular install. I should note that I tried installing Quick Page/Post Redirect and PHP Text Widget on the ‘working’ site (Website 2) and even with those plugins installed that site remained fine… so I don’t think those plugins are the issue.

    Hi Lads
We have huge problem with Woocommerce orders – they get lost and order numbers skips / jumps from 2096 to 2130
and those orders that actually makes it …. get set to cancelled – but the money and transactions are done ok!
(I created SUPPORT tickets in IThemes security Pro that we also uses … But they really gave me a horrible answer (Censor)!!

But the “paper-work” is missing (no emails or order confirmation?) is beeing sent??
    Weird
    Please adwise
From time to time when doing a order to be paid by manual bank transfer – the email got sent … Then we removed the “Hyper Cache” to all shop files + chart and so.. That didn’t help but was proberly good.
The Sucuri people lowered their cache – And claimed that was working – Nope!

    I found this:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/the-mails-arent-sending/#post-382306

But I have checked and rechecked every settings in Woo and can’t find anything wrong??

Can someone tell med where is set the “STATUS” of new order? In my own shop it is always: PENDING
But in this shop with the problem – it’s sent to “CANCELLED” when it fails (fair) but in normal credit card mode “TEST” it get “Waiting Payment”?
(Maybe I should ask Woo People)?

    Hi Josue,
I added it in to the child css … Now it shows up :) Thx (Tried to disable all plugins (except Ithemes security). ?? No change?

    However… (See pic)
A: is ok – Top level menu is colored blue (Current)
B: is not ok (Looks wiered – Can you show me how to set them “normal” – No blue)
    More menu

C: Is a new thing – This is menu item set as “Colored Button” (via the menu settings) – Where do I change the color and ONLY on “C” – No other menu buttons?

    Have a nice weekend

I resolved this with a little digging.

Though I disabled all plugins to see if there was a conflict, nothing happened when I did. On a hunch, I checked settings in iThemes Security and found it was not allowing Enfold settings to take effect.

The plugin was not a problem before the update but now is. If anyone else has the issue, here’s the workaround.

Go to iThemes Security > System Tweaks, uncheck “Disable PHP in Uploads”. This was the culprit.

Also not that in Enfold prior to v3.x, width you entered in settings was displayed. Now you have to width + padding left (50px) + padding right (50px). So, if you want your boxes to be 1030px wide total, enter 1130px in Enfold > General Layout > Dimensions > Maximum Container Width.
