    Hi dalcnetsrl!

    Please don’t create any changes on the theme files. Go to Enfold > Theme Options > Where do you want to display blog? option then deselect the page that you set as blog. Leave it blank. Create a page then insert the Blog Posts element. Configure the Blog Content Length to show an excerpt or summary.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi!

    The cart icon is visible when I checked the website. What is the screen resolution of your monitor? This is the screenshot:

    Did you assign a menu for the Theme Locations > Enfold Secondary Menu in Appearance > Menu panel?

    Cheers!

    Hi~
    Thanks! now I know what that is. But still, the fullscreen slider is too high and I want my slider to be narrower. Although the fullwidth slider could be narrower but the background image is not responsive. I want my background image to be fixed also responsive to different devices with different sizes. Is there any way to realize that?
    thank you~

    Hi!

    Well, i think Feedburner supports that, but whoever newsletter platform that have a WordPress plugin would probably work with Enfold.

    I would also like to know how to make the excerpt work on my blog page. Here is some background info on my current settings.

    1. Under Enfold Theme Options –> Frontpage Settings: I do not have a specific page selected (‘Select page’ is showing in the menu)
    2. In WordPress Settings –> Reading under ‘For each article in a feed, show’ I have Summary selected.
    3. In my Posts, I do not have anything entered in the excerpt text box.

    I do not want to have to enter an excerpt for every post I create but rather have WordPress only display a maximum number of characters or words before it cuts off the post on the main blog page and shows a ‘Read more’ link. Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thanks.

    #194174

    The way I did it was in the Enfold Theme settings > Footer, you can enter [nolink] after your footer text.

    Hi!

    If you imported the dummy content you can check how that is created, look for the page named “Home v7: One Page Portfolio”.

    This are the settings for one of the slides:

    #194147

    Thanks~
    But I’m not sure…Because the picture in the Fullscreen Slider is not responsive also has wrong size(too high). The sample above is responsive and has animated text sliders just like in the layerslider. Or maybe I just don’t know how to use it ??

    #194143

    Hi PPCHound!

    Open /framework/php/class-framework-widgets.php replace line 796 with this:

    echo '<div class="tab first_tab widget_tab_popular"><span>'.__('Popular', 'avia_framework').'</span></div>';

    And line 801 with this:

    echo '<div class="tab widget_tab_recent active_tab"><span>'.__('Recent', 'avia_framework').'</span></div>';

    Best regards,
    Josue

    #194131

    Hey!

    Glad that works for you, just to add something, you can also add HTML content using the ALB using the Text element which allows you put content in a Text tab like the Default editor.

    Regards,
    Josue

    Hi riatech!

    You can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab, if you would like to display only homepage on mobile. This code will remove mobile menu when displayed on screens smaller than 767px

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .mobile_active #advanced_menu_toggle, .responsive .main_menu {
    display: none;
    }}

    Cheers!
    Yigit

    #194116

    Hey!

    That’s the Fullscreen Slider element (located under Media Elements in ALB).

    Regards,
    Josue

    Hi Guy,

    There are two things you can modify/add in the Socket:

    1. The copyright text (Enfold > Footer):

    2. A menu (Appearance > Menus > Locations):

    If you want to add more custom stuff there, you’ll need to edit the footer.php file.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

    I had some portfolio items from Choices and when moving to Enfold the new ones I add are slightly different. There are like 5px difference from each of them: http://d.pr/i/g3K6/5fZDCKSy when the lines should cross like http://d.pr/i/ZIob/4b9nTdZY

    I tried to go to the old entries, remove the featured image and add it again but no luck so far.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    #194103

    Topic: Fatal Error

    in forum Enfold

    Several times I get this error message “Fatal error: Cannot call overloaded function for non-object in /home/admin110/public_html/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 1361” Then the site goes down for a few minutes. It usually happens when I just am doing regular updates on the site, nothing too intense. If you could let me know what needs to get done to fix this issue, that would be great! I am using Godaddy for the hosting and have the Enfold theme installed version 2.3.1.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kriesi!
    I’m experiecing the same issue others had…
    But I cannot make Enfold work. Blog posts would be shown entirely, even if “read more” is set. No excerpt’s working right.
    My config:
    – Single post with big preview image (featured image)
    – loop-index edited like this: $blog_content = !empty($avia_config[‘blog_content’]) ? $avia_config[‘blog_content’] : “excerpt_read_more”;
    if(is_single()) $blog_content = “content”;
    – For each article in a feed: Summary
    – Disable Comments plugin – but doesn’t matter, issue occured before

    Front page posts are shown entirely, when they shoudn’t.
    Please, see http://www.dalcnet.com/test to give me just a hint.
    Thanks and best regards.

    Hey!

    Header
    1) Can you post a screenshot and show how you would like logo to be? And currently, i see no seperator between logo and menu
    2) Please add following code to Quick CSS to make active menu item orange

    .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a { color: orange; }

    3)

    .current-menu-item>a>.avia-menu-fx { display: none; }

    4) In WordPress dashboard, please go to Appearance > Editor and open Header.php file and find

    do_action('ava_after_main_menu');

    And add your image after closing div tag as shown here http://i.imgur.com/DNN2fgT.jpg
    Font
    1) Which font exactly do you mean? You can go to Enfold theme options > Styling and change the font if you would like.
    2) You can use heading tags. Please see http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_headers
    3) You can highlight texts as shown here http://i.imgur.com/csSI7L4.jpg
    Links
    1)

    .image-overlay { display: none!important; }

    Hi elcetera!

    You are choosing to display menu as mega menu. You can apply such structure to your menu items to display all as regular sub menu items http://i.imgur.com/bPEan5Z.jpg
    or you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab

    #top #header .avia_mega_div > .sub-menu {
    padding: 5px 15px 15px;
    }

    These are default values, you can adjust it to decrease the width of mega menu sub menu items

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hey Ben!

    You’ll need to open /includes/admin/dummy.xml and edit the URLs of the images that are included there, for example, this file is included in line 1846.

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Hey!

    Changes are done. Please review your website. You can find custom CSS code i added in Quick CSS section in Enfold theme options. If you would like to change the size of the button on your first slide, please add following code to Quick CSS as well and adjust it

    .avia-button.avia-size-large {
    padding: 15px 100px;
    }

    These are default values

    Cheers!

    Hi!

    Please adjust following code to your image and add it to quick CSS in Enfold theme options

    .page-id-2666 img.avia-builder-el-1:hover {
    -webkit-transform: rotate(360deg);

    -o-transform: rotate(360deg);
    -ms-transform: rotate(360deg);
    transform:: rotate(360deg);

    I want to use the fixed background in certain sliders. In enfold, I could create a color section and change its background picture, but the picture cannot be full-screen also not responsive. I saw the layerslider also has such feature but I tried and failed. Then I saw you guys made this: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/
    The first slider is exactly what I want, may I know how did you made that?

    Hi, is it possible to modify the base.css in a child theme rather than just override it? I want to modify: bold indicates modification
    78: #top h1 a, #top h2 a, #top h3 a, #top h4 a, #top h5 a, #top h6 a { font-weight: inherit; text-decoration: none; color: inherit; border-bottom:0; }
    121: a:hover, a:focus, a:visited { outline: 0; border-bottom:1px dotted;}

    as you can see these mods are applied in sequence, and the following cascade also is in effect – just overriding them doesn’t work.

    I have tried to make a new enfold-child/css/base.css file in my child theme and copy the entire enfold/css/base.css content into it, then modify it as needed – but it doesn’t work.

    Is there a way to do this?
