    How can I have my initial blog page look like this one: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold

    Under my Blog Post page I have selected “Excerpt with Read More Link” However I still have full blog posts showing on my http://planningforever.com/blog

    Hi saundra!

    Regarding the front page, that comes with the dummy content that you can import after enabling Enfold.

    For the Blog excerpts, have you tried using a manual excerpt.?

    I apologize that link did not show the blog page that I’m desperately trying to duplicated.

    In the Enfold theme settings it does have an “Excerpt with REad More Link”, which I have selected but it’s not doing it. I’m sure I’m just missing one step.

    Can you please let me know how to fix this?

    I’m not interested in doing the manual excerpts. It changes the Feed and overrides SEO, I believe.

    Hi!

    Please deselect the page on Theme Options > Where do you want to display the blog? option. Create a page then insert the Blog Posts element. Configure the Blog Content Length to show an excerpt.

    Well I was going to give up, I did what you said and it would work, however, then my wordpress wouldn’t let me have another “.com/blog” page … it was like, “.com/blog-3” even though I tried to manually change it.

    So I went BACK to my original blog page and then somehow, viola, it worked! There is a glitch in the system somewhere but it worked out okay. Thanks for your help!

    Really like this theme. Since switching over, I’ve had two potential clients rave about my website. *sweet*

    Well I changed the Single Post with Big Preview Image … and it crashed again. *sigh* I think that might be the glitch.

    I would also like to know how to make the excerpt work on my blog page. Here is some background info on my current settings.

    1. Under Enfold Theme Options –> Frontpage Settings: I do not have a specific page selected (‘Select page’ is showing in the menu)
    2. In WordPress Settings –> Reading under ‘For each article in a feed, show’ I have Summary selected.
    3. In my Posts, I do not have anything entered in the excerpt text box.

    I do not want to have to enter an excerpt for every post I create but rather have WordPress only display a maximum number of characters or words before it cuts off the post on the main blog page and shows a ‘Read more’ link. Please let me know if this is possible.
