Thanks.After activating Enfold, my site just shows a blank/white page. Any ideas?
I tried renaming my plugins folder to “plugins.hold” so that all plugins deactivate. No luck. I also tried deleting the cache. No luck.
I can still access wp-admin.
I want to change the boxed layout color on the sides. I want the main content to be in white, but i would like the sides to be a slightly dark grey to offset the white instead of having it be black. I have tried editing it in just enfold->styling->general->body background color and it’s not working at all.

I don’t know if it is caused by my previous tests but i have a strange behaviour :
i have a site which opens on the Blog. In Enfold Sidebar settings i have said that i wanted Right sidebar for Blog Page. The sidebar appears but it contains Pages / Categories and Archives.The problem is i can’t find where to remove these widgets .. in the Widget settings, i have nothing in the Sidebar Blog
What should i look for to remove that ? (if i had a widget in the Sidebar Blog section, it doesn’t appear and Pages/Categroies and Archives are still there)

Sorry sounded straight forward but still a little stumped after accessing Appearance > Menus.
The pages I wish to sort in a different order (in the top navigation header) are pages rather than menus, they are as follows:
Home
Services & Clients
Business Effectiveness
People
Practices
Processes
About Us
Contact
BlogIn order to do this do I need to (from within Appearance > Menus) do the following:
1) Create a menu
Then what is best for these settings? Which do I check? All options are marked with an * below:
Menu Settings
Auto add pages
* Automatically add new top-level pages to this menuTheme locations
* Enfold Main Menu
* Enfold Secondary Menu
(Will be displayed if you selected a header layout that supports a submenu here)
* Enfold Footer Menu
(no dropdowns)———————
Then:
2) I guess I then add all of my pages (i.e. blog, home etc) to the newly created menu so I can then order them as I wish.Bit confused, sorry about this.

I know you mentioned reading the docs so that may be something you’ve already read. If not, give it a read and see if it helps.
The gist of it is that each portfolio item is a page you create. Its content is blank until you add something in just like any other page. The featured image is what gets used to represent that portfolio item when using the Portfolio element in the advanced layout builder.
So for every single portfolio item you create you must set a featured image.
Then below the regular visual editor is the section for configuring how that specific item will show if you use the Ajax portfolio style. That is where the portfolio items open up on the same page as the grid.

i’ve just bought Enfold and i would like to convert my site of photo galleries into a WordPress/Enfold site.
I have around 1000 galleries and i would like to use the Fullwidth Masonry Gallery for each of them. The problem is i don’t seem to be able to use this component in posts. Only in pages with the advanced editor.
Is it true ? is there a way to do it ?I have tried the hack to have the advanced editor in posts. I have managed to add Fullwidth Masonry Galleries into articles but when i’m looking at blog posts, the sidebar doesn’t seem to work anymore : it is present but empty even if i had things to it. Is it because of the hack ?
I could create pages instead of posts but i won’t be able to take advantage of categories or blog style .. what could i do ?
Or maybe is there a plugin similar to Fullwidth Masonry Gallery ?

I’m struggling with a Portfolio Grid right now. I have created a few categories for portfolio items so I can make appear different subsets of theme in different parts of the website. I also want to make use of the sorting feature that allows selecting a group of categories for portfolios in a portfolio grid to let the user “filter” the types of portfolios she wants to see.
My problem is that the Portfolio Grid only shows the “All” feature (“Todo” in spanish, since I’ve localized the site using WPML and it is available in Spanish and English). Here’s what I see:
Instead of just seeing “Todo”, I should be seeing Todo · Cat1 · Cat2 …. · Cat 7, shouldn’t I?Here’s how the portfolio grid was defined (retrieved from the db):

All categories have been translated in two languages using WPML.I have the same problem in all pages, with disregard of which categories I select for the portfolio grid.
Any ideas? Perhaps the translation of the categories caused all this mess? I do not know how to sort this out…

Yes, following code, which is included in your post also, should remove pen icon
.related-format-icon-inner { display: none!important; }Please try adding it to bottom of Style.css file of your child theme if you are using a child theme, if not, please try adding it to custom.css file inside Enfold/css folder then flush browser cache and refresh your page a few times.

I can see it as your homepage no 404 errors and i am able to edit the page in Avia Layout Editor i can see the content there as well. Please check your website once againBest regards,

I would like to have in my home page, the effect that your demo has in the page:

I mean the image in the background, and the text over the image, and scrolling.
For example: Below ‘Send us mail’ the image shows a living room, that is shown partially and changes when yo scroll up/down in the page.
I have a lot of post / pages / images en my site, so I dont want to load demo content.
Can you gave me the tips to achieve this effect?

1) Standardmäßig kann dies WordPress nicht. Entweder du aktivierst die “Conditional Menu” Funktion: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-conditional-menu/ (dann kann man dies unter Design > Menus konfigurieren) oder du probierst dieses Plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/baw-login-logout-menu/
2) Die Dropdowns kann man unter Design > Menu anlegen – einfach die Menüpunkte des Dropdowns unterhalb des Hauptmenüpunktes gruppieren und etwas nach rechts ziehen.

Yes, I remember to have set a featured image in one of my testings and it kind of showed up but this point is also a little bit confusing to me, I mean, how does that isolated image works? Is it just kind of a thumbnail or it is something more relevant?…
The thing is that I can not clearly see what the term “portfolio items” refers to. I mean, well, I can get to know what they are for –showcasing portfolios– but I don’t get how my intended “parent-service” falls into this.
Do I have to set up different portfolios and then “fill” them with content? How? Where? In the /pages/ section? In the same /portfolio items/ section?
And once set, do I manually build the individual items to show like the demo site, don’t I? (http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/slider-two-third/)

I have created different templates for my enfold theme website. I can call upon those template via the page attributes in the back office & everything works fine.
At this stage, i am trying to have different footer appear on different pages.
In my template file, when I modify get_footer(); to get_footer(‘new’); nothing happens.
The new footer is called footer-new.phpAlso, if i remove get_footer(); the footer still shows up.
What would you recommend I do to make this work and a different footer on some pages?
