    Here is an up-vote for making an option to have larger images than 80×80. We have a client who has a landscape style logo that looks absolutely terrible at 80 pixels. It is way too squished at 80 pixels and is not legible. They wanted a pointer on Google Maps. We know how to do this through conventional coding and thought about tackling it with our own IFRAME showing a static page underneath an Enfold page.

    Is there a workaround by diving into the Enfold code? We don’t mind messing with code. Point us to the appropriate page.

    I would think something on the order of a max size of 250px (x) 250px + would be a better resolution for an image. $00.02 What we do is use a transparent PNG with an arrow that takes up a portion of the image. The remaining image canvas uses a logo. The transparency behind the arrow prevents the city and street location from being covered up with an image. It works quite nicely and allows you to see the exact location on the map while also offering up enough real estate and resolution for a quality, offset rendered business logo. You should pass this design idea to Kriesi or your content designers. It really works well if you make the arrow thin and precise. If you make it wavy and curved, it looks even better than the boring straight arrows. All we have ever received from a customer is compliments when doing this. They like their logo spiffy and visible on a map. It makes it look official and like it’s their own map and not Google’s.

    Hi!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    You can change the width of the masonry entries on larger screens with this on Quick CSS or custom.css:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1800px) {
    .responsive.html_stretched .av-masonry-entry {
    width: 25%;
    }
    }

    In reply to: Lightbox doesn´t work

    Hi!

    Did you deactivate the NGG plugin? It might be in conflict with the default lightbox. The website is still using the prettyPhoto plugin, the Magnific PopUp should be activated on version 2.9.2. Make sure that you enable the Lightbox Modal Window on Enfold > Theme Options. Did you do any modification on the child theme regarding avia.js? or lightbox?

    Cheers!

    Hi George!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    The first post doesn’t have any comment on it. Not sure why the comment number is not showing on the second one. Did you verify all the comment entries for that particular post? Please download the latest version 2.9.2 from your themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. Please refer to this link for more info: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Hi this is also happening on my site. I have deactivated every plugin on my site, and tried to edit a page and The Avia Layout Builder is still stuck in a permanent loop. The is a genuine issue with WordPress 4.0 and the Enfold Theme. Is there fix on it’s way, as at some point I world like to edit a page or add another..

    I would like to have a few pages on a website that have a shorter Main Menu at the top of the page, while still retaining the original larger default Enfold “Main Menu” for all of the other pages. If it helps to get this working, we can make our own content block to insert this 2nd menu and don’t need to use the default Enfold Masthead that includes the logo and original Enfold Main Menu. We can insert our own logo and want to insert a Nav element alongside it. We can handle all CSS position, design and coding for this without any help. But it doesn’t appear that WordPress or your template allows for separate menus that look identical, but have different links and dropdown capabilities for selected sub-pages.

    So in a nutshell:
    1. Enfold Main Menu for most web pages.
    2. Our Main Menu for only a handful of pages.

    We want both menus to look the same, just have different links and sub-heading dropdowns.

    Q. How do we accomplish this?
    Do we do it through a widget insertion, or direct code insertion? I have not seen where we could do this through your interface with conditional PHP includes. We are good coders, but not necessarily WordPress experts. So, I did not readily see a way to do this. Are we hamstrung to only have ONE Main Menu for our site that has the same menu links and dropdowns at the top of web pages. We would like to accomplish this without editing the core PHP files unless we have to. FYI, we have a child theme and I understand we can insert our own PHP and functions, but this makes site updates problematic when you change the core Enfold template like you have done over the past year. We just experienced this with your Masory Gallery and a recent update. We had to rebuild the entire Masonry Gallery because when you launched it, all of the code was not hammered out and finished and your newer version conflicted with your older Masonry Gallery code.

    I have seen your secondary default menu, but it does not look or operate anything like your Main Menu. We do not want this option. It needs to look the same as the default Main Menu.

    Maybe I have overlooked this option and I hope you tell me I have. But, I don’t think I did. This should not be a hard task and wouldn’t be for a conventionally coded website that was built from scratch and didn’t use a CMS framework. For all of the good things that WordPress offers, there is an an equal amount, or more pitfalls using this system if you are a knowledgeable coder and designer.

    Thanks for any input you can offer.

    Hi!

    The Enfold video element doesn’t support cover images right now, you’ll need to use the WordPress video shortcode:

    Hey Jez!

    Your site will probably break because the theme settings are bound to the theme folder name, one thing you can is import/export them via Enfold > Import/Export.

    That should actually work, i have no idea why it isn’t working for you to be honest.

    Hi!

    Enfold forms now have an option to redirect the user after submit, if that doesn’t work for you i’d suggest checking CF7.

    Hi!

    Try modifying the line 577 instead of adding another one below it, line should be like this 577:

    if($excerpt)$output .=		"<div class='av-magazine-content entry-content' {$markupContent}>{$excerpt}<a href='".get_permalink($entry->ID)."' class='more-link'>".__('Read more','avia_framework')."<span class='more-link-arrow'>&rarr;</span></a></div>";

    Hi Yigit,

    The problem is still there – when I delete an element like the slider on the front page, most of the rest of the content drops out.

    Am I asking this question in the best place to get help? Forgive me asking, but I’ve been trying to get help for a couple of weeks now – first paid a designer who couldn’t help, then took days to get a reply to find how out to login for support and so on …

    I’m not a designer, but I did manage my last WordPress theme for my business no problems for three years. This Enfold theme, which I love, has had problems with content crashing three times now over last few months.

    Anyway, hoping you can help.

    Thanks,

    Deborah

    Hola Jose,

    Esa opción no existe, sin embargo si activas esto puedes lograrlo via CSS.

    Digamos que tienes un icon box con clase “rojo”, con este CSS su icono se volverá rojo:

    .rojo .iconbox_icon {
        background: red !important;
    }

    Lo mismo para modificar el tamaño del titulo:

    .titulo-grande .iconbox_content_title{
        font-size: 22px !important;
    }

    Puedes setear multiples clases a un mismo elemento:

    rojo titulo-grande

    Saludos,
    Josue

    Topic: logo size on mobile

    Hi. Everytime I upload an image on a website it runs into (under) the little menu icon on my iphone when I test it out to see how it looks.

    Is there a certain size that the logo must be to get it to look right?

    In the enfold demo theme it is fine. The enfold logo is seen sharply and the little bulleted list icon for the collapsed menu is on the right and not hiding part of the logo.

    As an example – http://www.ethansemmel.com

    thanks

    Hello and thank you for a great theme!

    We are having an issue with a recent install of Enfold and the provided Enfold Child Theme ZIP file we installed. We are currently running WP 4.0, although, we had the same issue on the last stable release. We are hosted with DreamPress by DreamHost. Currently, we have no cache-related plugins installed to conflict with WP or the installed Enfold Theme and Child Theme. Also, all folder and file permissions appear to be correct, from what I’ve been reading in the forum.

    Specifically, we are having trouble with the changes made on the Child Theme Options page. Some options will update, but others won’t. For instance, changing the font for the Body Text in the General Styling > General updates correctly, but the font for the Heading does not. At least not immediately. It has updated on two occasions, yet we have no idea why the delay or hiccup.

    Any ideas as to what the issue could be? There are several major Theme Options we have to change, and we haven’t even gotten to the Quick CSS options.

    Thank you for your time, support, and advice!

    Yes, at the end of the child theme functions.php or enfold/functions.php file.
