Hi.
Enfold is a great theme and I really like it but I have a strange problem.
I added several menu’s and submenu’s, but I noticed that when I save them the last menu’s added disappear from the list and not showing neither in front nor in backed.
I have about 10 main menu’s and 3 of the menu’s have about 20 submenu’s each.
Is there any limit of how many menu’s to use?
I did some research and found that I need to add this to php.ini – php_value max_input_vars 5000
but it does not help either.
What could be the reason that cuts off the menues as well deselect the check mark of enfold main menu.
I also transferred the complete site to a different hosting to check it, but I still have the same issue. So it is not from the hosting.
Where could be the issue?
Thank you in advance!
Michael
UPDATE: I reinstalled the theme using the auto install and the lightbox now opens as it should. However, my portfolio item pages are not loading as they should when I click on the image title in the portfolio grid. I’m getting 404 errors for all of them.
Hi,
I manually updated to the most recent version of Enfold (I wasn’t working with a Child theme, unfortunately) and carefully copied over all the theme files except those that I had changed. Since updating the theme, clicking on a portfolio image just opens the large image on a blank new page instead of in the new lightbox as I’d like it to.
What am I missing/doing wrong?
I am providing website, login credentials and ftp credentials separately.
Thanks,
Trevor Johnston

Hi danfarberoff!
Make sure you are using Enfold version 2.9.2 which was recently released and included updates to work with WordPress 4.0.
See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
Devin
With nothing but WordPress 4.0 and Enfold version 2.9.2 there should be no issues. If you have an installation where we can see an issue we would happily login and start debugging.
The update method from within the WordPress admin is the one given to us by ThemeForest to use with their API. We have no control over it and this is also the same when re-downloading the theme from ThemeForest. We simply have no control or influence how that happens since its up to Envato.
If you are having issues with the new media gallery which was updated in WordPress 4.0 make sure you deactivate all active plugins and do a quick browser clear of your cache for the site (force reload) since WordPress itself changed. There are still lots of plugins who have not updated even though the theme has.
See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If you want to be able to update with the zip from within WordPress you need to change your servers permissions on the themes folder to let it write over the old file.
Otherwise you can update over FTP by following the steps in the video in the link above from our online docs.
Hello,
I need help with the Social Bar in Enfold.
I want to change the frase “share this” to another one. How do I do this?

Thanks.
Fabiana.
I am having the same problem with the layout editor, but cannot figure out how to update Enfold. I am running 2.9.1, and when I try to install 2.9.2 through WordPress, it says “Destination folder already exists. /home/fortxdia/public_html/www.onetonestudio.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/
Theme install failed.”
Is there any way to get around this? Also when I update by uploading the .zip file, will my website still be saved, or will it install the basic theme with none of my website info?

Hi
I’ve lost the enfold interface. The Enfold menu doesn’t show up, nor does the Avia Layout Builder interface.

Thanks.
Hey!
Thanks for your feedback, feel free to propose it here.

I am experiencing the same issue as described by other users. Please note the following feedback regarding this error.
1. As soon as I updated to WordPress 4.0 the pages advanced editor stopped working. The page would load and I would get a spinner in the content block. The page would not load the advanced editor (which I imagine is the aviya framework) and therefore all the fancy modules to edit content / media were unusable because the page just isn’t editable.
2. If one tries to updated using the Enfold > Theme Update interface, the side menus don’t show. So that troubleshooting option presented in the threads simply does not work. It is very frustrating to see that the mechanism to update from the theme itself has been broken.
3. To update via FTP, I had to go to envato and re-download the source files, but I was kind of annoyed that I did not see a more direct link or button to the right version of the template 2.9.2.
After updating the theme via FTP, the advanced editor functionality came back. However, the new media gallery features in WordPress 4.0 don’t seem to be getting along with the media galleries in the themes. For example, I can no longer upload images into a gallery in a group. The first image works and uploads, and all subsequent image experience “500” errors.
This transition looks like it will be very bumpy. Please just keep us posted. We understand as users that there are always issues when there is an update, but it would be appreciated if you guys could post more clear or direct upgrade instructions when a major update such as this one happens.
The theme comes bundled with it so after the theme is active the LayerSlider plugin shows up on the left hand side of the WordPress admin as LayerSlider WP.
There is no activating of it required. BBPress, Gravity Forms and WooCommerce are all supported plugin but are not mandatory.
A typical first time theme installation and activation goes like this: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Alongside LayerSlider the them has a number of other slideshow options available through shortcodes and the drag and drop layout builder.
Hey!
Unfortunately that feature is not available at the moment, feel free to request it here.
Best regards,
Josue
Hi @mgohn123!

Hi @mgohn123!
Try disabling all plugins before attempting to activate Enfold, also make sure you are using the latest version of WP (4.0).

Josue

“Do you really want to do this?”
than below “Please retry”

What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!

Hi again Josue,
Your advice to update Enfold to 2.9.2, to match the updated WP 4.0, resolved the issue wherein loading the Avia drag and drop editor never completes.
Thanks for a truly stellar customer support experience. Enfold is an amazing theme, and Kriesi’s tech support bench strength sets you apart as an organization that we end-users can count on to keep our projects on track.
Thanks!

Yigit, the ThemeForest page here
http://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990
says the last update of Enfold was on August 27 and the latest WP version supported is 3.9.
Hey guys,
I’m using the Enfold theme with the “Justified Image Grid”. Everything works except for the fact that enfold has the style “.image-overlay” which places the circle over my images (in case they are links). I found out how to change the different parts of that style with entering an overwrite in the quick-css (e.g. .image-overlay{background : 0;}) to remove the background. But is there a chance to remove the whole style for “Justified Image Grid”?
I would also prefer not to edit the base.css.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
quicky
Hey!
Make sure you are using Enfold version 2.9.2. Then try the editor with no other plugins active.
The theme was updated before 4.0 came out so that it would work right at release.

Devin
I’m in process of updating company website but am finding that for some reason the Easy Slider isn’t appearing as it normally should on the new version of the site.
I’ve tried copying the database from old site (only diff is it was an earlier version of Enfold) and while all else looks fine, the slider images didn’t appear. Since I’m under a time crunch on this project, I decided to just manually recreate the various pages since there aren’t so many that it should take more than an hour or two. So I created a new directory on server, did a fresh install of WP and Enfold, and started the process from scratch. I started with the home page where the slider is, added it like usual using the Advanced Layout the same way as with the original site (chose images, added captions, etc) and again it isn’t appearing using 2.9.2 version of Enfold with WordPress 4.0 (I had also tried with same results on WP 3.92). I stopped so you would be able to see it in the most basic state. The slider is the only item I’ve put on the page.
Can you take a look at the current live site (which is working correctly) and the new site (which isn’t) to see if you can identify where the problem is? Info is in the private content area.
Thanks in advance…
Hey!
Enfold 2.9.2 should work fine with WP 4.0, the problems normally has to do with third-party plugins which are not compatible with WP 4.0 yet.
Best regards,
Josue
I have upgraded to the new version of WP and Enfold. My cart is no longer working with these two updates. Please advise ASAP. Also the post slider doesn’t work either.

Hey Christin!
That is possible with CSS, but it’s somewhat complicated to do:
http://css-tricks.com/examples/ShapesOfCSS/
Unfortunately these kind of request fall outside the support we can give, if you really need i’d suggest contacting a developer from Codeable or Envato Studio to help you implement it on Enfold.
Best regards,
Josue
Hey!
Video backgrounds are disabled on mobile, instead the background image will show up. You can check that in this demo page.
Cheers!
Josue
Hi Peter,
thanks for your reply. The problem is: ENFOLD 2.6.1 limited the ajax preview above of the grid to the items of a chosen category (please have a look at the address on #311917). The demo version / download version (2.9.2) has lost this great feature. Up to now I didn’t find any reason for this problem.
Thanks, Bernd
