well it would be best to see a link to your page where to change.
But i think you mean those post headings in lists or grid-view like here: Link
etc. – then you can try in your quick css:
#top .slide-entry-title a:hover {
color: red;
}

Hello.
A new client of mine has the Enfold theme running on his website, http://www.lie-detect.co.za, but due to the PHP update on the server he is hosting on, the theme is throwing up errors.
His previous developer has dissappeared and we don’t have his ThemeForest login details in order to get the updated version on Enfold.
Is there another way we can update the theme?
Kind Regards
Ivor
I would recommend using : https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/tree/master/integration%20plugins/Enfold/Special%20Character%20Translation
and add your desired special characters ( nbhyp : non breaking hyphen – see: link )
The advantage of this little helper tool is that you can also clearly see in the backend where you used the special characters, and these are also preserved when editing again. You could try to insert the entity as described ( html code ) in the link, but then it could be that the above described will occur.
Here ( link ) you can see a version of the plugin I edited, – I tend to be lazy about writing, so I only put a # before and after each. On the right you see the special characters – and on the left what you use to set these characters.
EDIT: oh sorry – now i see that you like to have a non breaking space ( this is nbsp : non breaking space: Link ) same procedure as above
I’ve looked everywhere, can’t find the answer. So, when you click on a post heading in Enfold, I want it to change to a different color on hover. My site is brand new and is still under construction.
Hi,
You will need to log in to your Theme Forest account in order to create a Token it can not be created if you can not log into your Theme Forest account.
You can also download the latest version of the theme from your Theme Forest account without creating a Token.
If you have forgotten your Theme Forest login Theme Forest can help you create a new password and login.
Best regards,
Mike

I have an old version of Enfold that wont work with the latest php updates, 8.0, 8.1. If I were to purchase this Eparallax, would this make my site work in 8.1 as I have built it in the current theme? Or is there an update that will work? I currently have EnfoldVersion: 3.8.5

Enfold Responsive Multipurpose Theme 3.8.5
Please advise with link to purchase or download update if this will work with my current build.
Thank you
When I try to update the Enfold theme I get the following error:
Download Package URL: Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
– response_code: 403
– reason: scope-missing
Download Package URL: A problem occurred accessing your download link. Unable to perform update.
Following Envato package errors occurred:
Enfold – Request for Download URL failed.
I am using PHP version 8.0.25 and WordPress version 6.1.1. I have tried turning off all the plugins (all 7 of them) and that did not help.
I keep getting “An error occurred while updating Enfold: Update package not available.
Odd, but I think I got it working. I had “Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ Delete old CSS and JS files” enabled prior to installing child theme. I had to toggle that off, save, then toggle on, and clear cache for it to “catch”. The top small menu seems bolded more than the previous, and I had to redo a column in footer widgets, but otherwise looks pretty good on staging. You may verify between the two if you want to see if there are any differences that may cause issues or site failure. Thanks.
Hi Nikko,
I wrote that I was able to solve the problem in the meantime. I deleted the photo everywhere. But maybe you find it in the Enfold Restaurant demo and see whats wrong with it.
But I had another question that was not answered (don’t find the post).
-> Unfortunately, when I send a message in the contact form, the message that I entered in the backend for the message reply does not appear, but only a small white field (without a message, etc.). Can you fix this technical error? (Please try and send a message).
Many thanks in advance.

Ohne Support habe ich es halt selber gelöst.
Enfold-Theme OHNE Dokumentionspaket herunterladen und über ftp auf die Domain hochladen.
Dann funktioniert es.
My hoster wants me to switch to PHP 8.0 or 8.1 for good reasons very soon, because they are updating PHP. However, when I switched to 8.0 or 8.1 I got the following error message:
“Too few arguments to function WP_Widget::__construct(), 0 passed in /home/www/wp.mywebsite.com/wp-includes/class-wp-widget-factory.php on line 61 and at least 2 expected”
This error crashes my website in the frontend and in the backend I cannot sign anymore into WP. So I need to switch back to 7.4 in order to get the system running again.
What’s wrong with WP_Widget::__construct()? Do I need this widget at all? Or could you make it running on PHP 8? WP and all plugins are updated so only this widget seems to crash the system.
I’m running Enfold without a child theme.
Thanks for your support.
We have some more information from our hosting company related to this. It looks like this is theme related. We are using the Enfold Travel demo.
Here is the information from the host (including the URL for the website):
The domain maritimetravel.nicomitcms.com is still producing the following errors.

This is an indication the theme on the domain has hard coded limits within different control php files installed on the domain. This appears to be an issue related to the code and the next course of action should be to reach out to the theme Developers at enfold.
We are having issues with a website that is in development for a client. We can access the WP Dashboard with no issues, but cannot load the website.
This is the error we are seeing now when we try to load the website:
Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.
I just disabled the main menu and the website is loading, so it does look like this is something related to the menu and nav-menu-template.php file.

I have been using this theme since 2018 without any problems. (API Key zeqx0qgytoylgjcbxxnqm6qtbq235avq)
Now I am having a conflict problem with WordPress with these error details:
An E_COMPILE_ERROR error was caused in line 49 of the file /var/www/vhosts/acousticguitarworkshops.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/chart/chart.php. Error message: Access level to avia_sc_chart::shortcode_insert_button() must be public (as in class aviaShortcodeTemplate)
Here’s the full WordPress automated message:
Hi.
WordPress, starting with version 5.2, has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes an unrecoverable error on your site and alerts you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress has encountered an error with your theme, Enfold.
First, go to your website (https://www.acousticguitarworkshops.com/) and check for visible problems. Next, go to the page where the error was found (https://www.acousticguitarworkshops.com/wp-admin/) and see if there is any visible problem.
Contact your host to request assistance for a more thorough investigation of this problem.
If your site appears corrupted and you cannot access your bulletin board normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode.” This allows you to securely access your bulletin board to check what is wrong.
https://www.acousticguitarworkshops.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=kJcm3HlNJlUAgYPYO7i8Le&rm_key=dnkROPkHAH4Gw3W825NaPK
To keep your site secure, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about this: a new link will be sent to you if the error reoccurs after the expiration.
If you are looking for help with this problem, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 6.1.1
Active theme: Enfold (version 5.2.1)
Current Plugin: (version )
PHP version 8.0.24
can you help me?
many thanks, Raffaella
Hi,
Try deactivating the Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ JS & CSS file merging and compression and activating Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ Delete old CSS and JS files and the clearing your browser and any plugin cache.
If you continue to have trouble, please create a new staging copy of your main site with no child theme and post the admin login in the Private Content area so we can add the child theme and import the theme settings to see why it is not working as expected.
Best regards,
Mike

Hi All,
I am facing a problem of “Internal Server Error” or “sometimes Gateway Timeout Error” when ever i m trying to set Transparent Header or any other option except “Hide Header on this page” from header Visibility and Transparency drop down of page layout, When I m selecting “Hide Header on this page” then page is loading perfectly but header is not loading as a result logo, menus, top header is not showing.
I have also updated the enfold theme from 5.1.1 to 5.2.1 but then also problem remains the same.

Hi Chrilles,
We don’t have that feature in Enfold however that feature is found in membership plugins.
Please try to check this thread to check for recommended membership plugins: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/recommended-plugins/

Hi Matthew Brown,
Thanks for contacting us!
Yes, you’re correct, the best way is to buy another license in themeforest using the client’s account.
Then register the theme by generating a private token which will be used for theme updates: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi Tobiaspress,
Can you try to disable Javascript File Merging And Compression in Enfold > Performance? and see if it helps.

Hi Angela,
Did you purchase the Enfold theme or someone else purchased it for you?

Hi tonyiatridis,
Please try to add this CSS code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS:
#js_sort_items .sort_by_cat {
text-align: center;
}
#js_sort_items a,
#js_sort_items .text-sep {
display: inline-block;
float: none;
}
Hope it helps :)
Best regards,
Nikko
