Any chance of getting some recommendations on advertising plugins. There are so many out there and your advise would be much appreciated

Thanks. What video plugin do you recommend to display yourtube videos on the sidebar as a widget. Thx.June 30, 2012 at 5:56 am #46637
I didn’t use such a widget yet – I’d try a plugin from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=youtube+widget

Please apologise the delay answering, didn’t set up the rss…
regarding the display widget which didn’t work with last abundance version I don’t know why but what happened is that it wouldn’t display any widgets if turned on so I changed for Dynamic Widgets, it’s even better and gives more flexible possibilities.

Glad you found a good alternative Sophie! I’ll check it out when I get some extra time :)

Hmmm… wait, so are you suggesting that the http://inoplugs.com/projects/wp-backgrounds-ii-add-wordpress-backgrounds-website/ would work on your awesome Flashlight seem, which doesn’t support fullscreen video backgrounds?July 19, 2012 at 4:02 pm #46641
Yes – it will work with Flashlight or any other (modern) theme by Kriesi (like Propulsion, Angular, Choices, etc.).

For you to know, there’s a conflict between the last woocommerce and the SEO pluggin by Yoast.
If variations on a product, won’t be able to upload pictures in a sustainable way.
Have to desactivate except if somebody got a trick to make it ok.

Great list! I am interested to know if you have found that one of the above ecommerce plugins works better than others with the CHOICES theme? Thanks!October 25, 2012 at 10:56 am #46649
Tbh I didn’t test the e-commerce plugins with Choices. WooCommerce and Jigoshop won’t work with it. You can test the Cart66 Lite and the PayPal Shopping Cart plugin for free and you don’t risk your money. The Tribulant Shopping cart worked very well with Vevet and since version 1.6.9 you can create “product entries” by using a custom post type.October 25, 2012 at 11:07 pm #46650October 26, 2012 at 6:01 am #46651June 20, 2013 at 5:43 am #46652
Dude, maybe you can help me with this…
I’d looking for a way to specify which product categories appear in the Recent Products Widget that comes with WooCommerce.
Perhaps I’m the only one needing this functionality, but it seems hard to believe!
I’d like to be able to select which categories I’m displaying in this widget instead of showing all of them. A select box that enables the admin to choose which categories are shown in the widget would be ideal.
Ie – I want to show all the latest products in the BOOKS category on one page, I want to show all the latest MUSIC products on another page.
Seems like this would be awesome and useful. Is there a plugin or something that I’m missing? Am I the only person that needs this!?June 20, 2013 at 7:41 am #46653
I’m not aware of any plugin/extension which allows you to specify which product categories appear in the Recent Products Widget.
Am I the only person that needs this!? – probably yes :D – imo this would be a niche product…September 6, 2013 at 10:06 pm #46654
I was using Digg Digg to have social media links, but it’s soooooo slow and really hangs up the page. It also produces a double vertical scroll bar in Firefox. I found this one instead which is much better, lighter on code and runs faster. The only bad thing is that here is no css file, so you have to make any visual tweaks in the php files.

Have you tried the AddThis plugin? https://kriesi.at/support/topic/placing-addthis-social-icons-into-the-header?replies=4#post-134606
