    Since manually updating Enfold from v4.* and updating PHP to 8.1, my home page shows “There has been a critical error on the website.” It looks like a PHP conflict, but I’ve seen in this forum that Enfold is compliant with the latest PHP. The server debug mode shows fatal errors with Avia. Can you tell by looking at it what the issue might be? Thank you!

    Hey Joris,
    Thanks for your question there are a few elements in the layerslider that require a license and are not included with the bundled version, such as Premium Templates and advanced elements such as the new shape element. You can learn more at the layerslider dashboard where it says “Go Premium”
    If you wish to use the premium version you will need to disable the bundled version in the theme options and then install the premium layerslider plugin, you can learn more about this in our documentation.

    Hi all and happy new year!

    Long-time Enfolder here with a stable, old Enfold site updated to the latest version of course.
    Maybe I’m missing it, but I don’t see the blog categories on my blog posts anymore.
    For example this one:

    Freitas Parkway / Terra Linda Hike | Marin County Hikes

    used to show a category of “Marin hikes” but I don’t see a category anywhere.
    Actually, I *think* it used to show a category, but when I look in the wayback machine for Dec 2021 I don’t see the category here either:

    I went into Enfold settings and toggled off and then back on the “display blog category” and also checked this post to make sure a category is specified (it is).

    Any thoughts? Is it there somewhere and I’m missing it? This is important because I want people to be able to click on “marin hikes” and see all the hikes in Marin County.

    Hi,
    sorry for taking so long; I had Corona in the meantime and got totally behind with my work.
    So, I installed the new version of Enfold, and it worked right away without any problems. One really minor issue was comments being turned on again on pages. That was easily fixed. The site now runs well on PHP 8.1.

    I was just using the “Check manually” button on the Enfold page and it would say an update was available, and I got the error referenced above when I used WordPress’s update system.

    I tried to save your homepage as a template but it throws JS errors. Could you please firstly update Enfold to the latest version 5.3.1.1 and then try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps? Then you can activate plugins one by one to find the culprit :)

    Since 2017, a website for our company, Scionix, has been created using WordPress with the theme Enfold. This was maintained well until the web designer suddenly stopped working on it. The website is maintained through an external company in the sense that it runs it, plugins are updated etc etc. Since about 3 months, I get to try my best to customise and maintain the website. Now I bump into the following problem: The theme we are using is extremely outdated, we are still running on version 4.6.3.1. and I can’t get it updated. I also followed the link for requesting a new token because the old one (obviously) no longer works, and followed the steps but even there I get an error namely: Could not load signed in user profile: The API returned an error (403 – )
    Meanwhile, it has also become clear that using this version will be out of the question within a short period of time.

    Hopefully there is an option to issue a new token in the hope that the theme can move to the latest update.

    Thank you for your patience and the link to your site, I see that your footer widget areas are empty, when they are empty the demo widgets will show.
    I see that you have created a custom widget area “footerhelp” but I don’t see and code in your child theme functions.php to tell the theme where to show this custom widget area, so I don’t know what your plans for this is. If you wanted to show this custom widget area under your footer then you would add this function to your child theme functions.php:

    add_action('avia_after_footer_columns','avia_below_footer');
function avia_below_footer(){
dynamic_sidebar( 'footerhelp' );
}

    But to show widgets in your footer please add the widgets to your footer column one and two.

    I see that you have a child theme footer.php & header.php and these do not match the current footer.php & header.php, this will cause errors in your theme. We do not recommend adding these files to your child theme, it is the most common reason for errors when updating. Please remove these files and any customizations you wish to make should be done in your child theme functions.php

    Advanced Styling options overrides all options. If you would like to set default font size to 16px, please do so in Enfold theme options > General Styling > Typography > Default Content Font Size :)

    I uploaded the fonts (Chewy and Hammersmith One) correctly via Enfold’s import function as a zip file and then selected them from the list under “General Styling – Fonts”.

    Nevertheless, the integration of Google fonts is still displayed in the online font checkers (e.g.: https://sicher3.de/google-fonts-checker/) as follows:

    @Guenni007     thx a lot – In terms of creating a portfolio entries list this is great. This was an alternative I did not think of.

    But the magazine list does not allow to customize colors with alternating background colors per entry in order to distinguish the entries better, right? At least I did not find a CSS or so acc.

    -> I you have an idea, this would be great

    And neither I did find a way to add a symbol (wich is not that important)

    You can use this css code to adjust the width of the gallery columns on mobile view.

    Hi,

    The suggested css code above should have worked. You may need to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings in order for the changes to take effect. Make sure to purge the cache afterwards. However, as @Guenni007 pointed out above, the default style of the select element is based on the current operating system and you are probably better off if you don’t modify the default appearance of the element.

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Are you using the Layer Slider and Google Map/reCAPTCHA plugin? Please note that Google Map/ReCAPTCHA uses Google Fonts by default. You may need to disable the Google Fonts from the layer slider settings. You should also check the Enfold > Advanced Styling panel and look for any elements that are using Google Fonts. You can also try the script provided in the following thread.

    The overlay is set to have a maximum height of 60% relative to the parent container. To override this, please replace the previous modification with the following css code.

    Hello,

    We’re building our online store for parts and tooling, but I’m having some issues with the template.

    1- Product Pages
    When we don’t use the advanced layout feature, the Woccommerce Product page goes crazy. The right sidebar and related products go to the footer.
    We need to present the same way we do on our main website for machine products. (https://www.akhurst.com/product/cantek-mx340m-automatic-edgebander/). How can I do this?

    And, how can I get these fonts bigger? I’m afraid of changing this at the Enfold Theme tab and making a mess. And also, the description title “description” is duplicated.

    2- Home Page
    I saw a few other demos from Woocomerce and Enfold and I wish I could create a different home page where I can directly show Product Filters and maybe a few Top Products we need to promote over the year. Can you upload this page template inside mine? I can edit it later on my own.
