    Hi,
    Thank you for confirming, please include the function here to enhance the Relevanssi plugin with the advanced layout builder elements.

    Or try going to the page and at the very top of the page look for “screen options” click that to open it and look for the “excerpt” option and click it.
    This will open a new box at the bottom of the page, in that box enter the plain text of all of the links, not as links.
    This text box will be more searchable for workpress than the tab section and will not show on your page.

    Best regards,

    Searched all topic and web and have exhausted my knowledge level with web site stuff :(

    Server running:

    Debian Linux 8
    Apache 2.4
    PHP 5.6
    Enfold 4.5.4

    Symptom is that when editing a page with avia editor it just sits there with the spinning circle.. if I leave it long enough it does a failed autosave and breaks the page code and thus I need to reload the template “Landing Page”

    Chrome console shows:
    POST http://www.quadwizard.com.au/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 400 (Bad Request) VM5220:1

    [edit]
    apache logs say: [24/Mar/2019:04:25:40 +1100] “POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php HTTP/1.1” 400 563 “http://www.quadwizard.com.au/wp-admin/post.php?post=12&action=edit” “Mozilla/5.0

    So it has to be an apache config issue right?

    I really have no idea what else to do any and all help would be appreciated.

    Regards
    James

    Hi,
    I took another look at the errors on your site and one of them is caused by a hidden script in your files:

    <!-- WiredMinds eMetrics tracking with Enterprise Edition V5.4 START -->
    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_server/count.js'></script>
    <script type='text/javascript'><!--
    wm_custnum='302834cad613d361';
    wm_page_name='avia-modal.js';
    wm_group_name='/services/webpages/a/c/acordes6.com.mx/public/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/js';
    wm_campaign_key='campaign_id';
    wm_track_alt='';
    wiredminds.count();
    // -->
    </script>
    <!-- WiredMinds eMetrics tracking with Enterprise Edition V5.4 END -->

    My research shows that some webhosts automatically install this script, please ask if your webhost is doing this and ask them to stop it, it is braking the site.
    Other delete your theme and install a clean version, hopefully the script won’t be added again.

    Hi,
    After searching for weeks in the forum I decided to send you a message.
    1- the custom CSS within the Enfold theme does not change any of my pages
    – I started to use the “customize” section of WP but I have no clue how to customize subpages from there
    – I tried many the recommendations in the forum for fixing the custom CSS but to no avail
    2- recently something strange happened
    – the main menu color font changed from white to brown
    – when hovered the font size shrink
    and after 2 days of searching what happened, I am still without an explanation.
    I would be grateful for your help

    Hi Enfold Team,

    I have searched quite some time for a viable solution, but unfortunately without succes.

    I love the product grid you guys made, but I miss one essential functionality. Which is the possibility to use the

      Attribute Filters

    like you present in the Enfold Shop Demo.

    Is there a fix for this? Or perhaps a relatively secure workaround?

    Hey WMLewis,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Your search icon appears black on my end.

    You may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.

    Please perform the below steps to clear the browser cache:

    1. Disable “merging and compression” for CSS and JS files from Enfold > Performance.
    2. If a caching plugin is installed check the plugin settings and clear the cache and deactivate the plugins for testing purpose.
    3. Hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi there

    I’m trying to resolve an issue with non SEO-friendly URLs on our site, which affects our rankings.
    The URL it’s complaining about is: https://domain.com/?s=

    This seems to be the Enfold search functionality. How can we disable the search function, or at least this page?

    We have a child theme and followed the instructions at https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-disable-instant-search/ but the search page is still accessible.

    Thanks
    Eric

    Hi Ismael,
    if you do search for an empty search query ( ?s= ) when Enfold is actvive then you get no results and a page whose title is: “To search the site please enter a valid term”. Please see here:
    https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/?s=

    If you do the same when a default theme ( Twenty nineteeen, Twenty Seventeen, Twenty Sixteen, etc.. ) is active then you get all results, which is default WP behaviuor. I tryed this on a test website with Wp up to date and no other plugin active.

    It looks like Enfold actually alters the default search functionality.

    Hi,

    I am using the following plugin on my enfold site https://www.bannersky.com/bsk-pdf-manager/ to display pdf documents with their title.

    You can see those pdf entries under the tabs “ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΕΙΣ” & “ΗΜΕΡΟΛΟΓΙΟ”.

    The problem we are experiencing is that the default search tool of the theme (on the menu bar), does not bring resuts based on that names(of the pdf entries).

    Any idea why this is happening? Isn’t that part of the content as well? And how can it be resolved?

    Thank you in advance

    Good morning,
    i have a problem and I can’t find a solution.
    I installed the theme Enfold on the site, a plugin to build the pages. But I can’t see Avia Layout Builder in the settings, why?
    I tried searching for it in the plugins but it’s not there.
    I need to edit the Blog and Events pages and I can’t.
    thank you for your help :)

    Hey aledef,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Could you explain the issue further? The theme doesn’t alter the default search functionality.

    Topic: H1 Tags

    Hi
    Can I ask for some clarification about how enfold treats Page Titles and H1 Tags. Does it make the page title act as the H1 tag for the page?

    This is what I thought it did and I was pretty sure I had previously checked but now I run Moz Pro on my website and it says I have 441 missing or invalid H1 tags.

    I would rather go back and change the first H2 (or most relevant) tag on each page to an H1 than use some code but I wanted to get your opinion first.

    This blog post from Search Engine Journal seems to say that it’s worth doing for completeness https://www.searchenginejournal.com/how-important-is-h1-tag-for-seo/261547

    There is a File that I cannot access. Neither through Database (Search & Replace) nor through standard editing enfold pages.

    But there must be a way to get rid of it.

    Any Ideas?

    Hi,

    I’ve been trying to add some php supplied from your documentation (and elsewhere) to the child theme’s functions.php via WP > Appearance > Theme Editor, but I keep getting a “Something went wrong” error message from WordPress.

    This has happened with the following php:

    Add search shortcode
    add_shortcode(‘avia_search’, ‘get_search_form’);

    Adding header widget area
    add_action( ‘ava_after_main_menu’, ‘enfold_customization_header_widget_area’ );
    function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
    dynamic_sidebar( ‘header’ );
    }

    And adding a LinkedIn insight tag to the global footer.

    Thanks,

    Val

    This wouldn’t work because the RSVP elements aren’t in the dom. You can see this by switching over to any theme other than enfold.

    Obvously, there are running issues with the theme in this area.

    Can I ask you to look into this and give me a thoughtful reply that helps me solve my problem. This is a big deal to me and this thing has been going on for over two weeks. If you are recommending a solution, at the very least to try it out.

    Please give me a thoughtful, researched reply. Thank you.

    Hi Jutta,

    Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1300px) {
      nav.main_menu, #menu-item-search {
        display: block !important;
      }
      .menu-item {
        display: none;
      }
      .av-burger-menu-main.menu-item-avia-special {
        display: block;
      }
    }

    If you need further assistance please let us know.

    In previous versions

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    In version 4.5.4

    I have disabled the creation of multiple images by WordPress and Enfold using the Simple Image Sizes plugin and the well-referenced (in this forum) remove_image_size solution in my child theme functions.php.

    The only sizes I need/use on the site are shown on this screenshot.

    The vast majority of images are uploaded with our ‘standard’ size of 700 x 467 px.

    I have now discovered in the Uploads directories that ‘something’ is creating additional thumbnails, sized 400x267px and 620x414px (sometimes 620×413).

    The strange thing is that these unwanted thumbnails are not created for every image uploaded but on a seemingly random basis. i.e. only some images will have these extra sizes. In January, out of 153 image uploads, only 14 images had the unwanted thumbnails created.

    The other issue is that this happens only on images uploaded by an Administrator role. There are other roles who can upload files, but these do not have the unwanted thumbnails generated.

    I have searched the entire code base for add_image_size and set_post_thumbnail_size to see if I could figure anything out, but nothing came to light.

    I realise this could be theme related or might be a general WP issue, but does anyone have any idea how I might be able track down which piece of code (WP, plugin, theme) is creating these unwanted thumbnail files? So that I can then figure out how to stop it happening…

    Dear Victoria,
    Good to know. The answer I searched for is, with additional code in the function.php even a custom page made with the Enfold advanced editor can be a shop page where the attribute-filters are working.

    Thread can be closed,

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    We would recommend Enfold theme however you would need a plugin such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-webinarsystem/ for such feature on your website. I made a quick search online and you can also find some premium plugins :)

    I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Hello,

    I’ve found myself in an extremely frustrating situation where the homepage on my website is now a blank page with my normal header / footer. I haven’t logged on in a number of months and wanted to edit some sections this evening. Upon logging in I noticed that WordPress had upgraded and now when clicking “edit” on the home page from the “pages” tab there is now a great deal of code at the top of the page. When I scroll down for quite a ways I get back to the Avia Layout Builder that used to be at the top. (I would love to view the builder like it was a few months ago.) Long story short, I started editing some colors on sections and wanted to see how they looked. Normally I just click preview and it works. This time it didn’t refresh the preview and it just showed the same color scheme unless I clicked update. Upon playing with the new colors I realized the update feature began to not work any longer as well. I tried clicking the “revisions” tab that to see if I can roll back the revisions I had made but instead it completely removed the entire page to where it is blank now. There is obviously some bug that is beyond my novice abilities with WordPress.

    After doing some research I’m seeing that there have been a number of updates released since I last logged in. I tried upgrading WordPress and all the plugins, but couldn’t figure out how to upgrade the Enfold theme. Could this be the issue that I’ve run into? It appears I’m only running 4.2. Either way, it seems that my work is still available under revisions, I just can’t apparently load it nor view it when I click preview or update any longer. Any help on what I need to do to get back to my normal site would be much appreciated.

    Please try adjusting the function to see if you get your desired effect.

    Unfortunately non of the plug-ins above and beyond have worked, even after extensive trial with settings to allow the searching of shortcode items.

    I am surprised that, in essence, what you are saying Mike is that the search in Enfold doesn’t work with Enfold?

    Just one thing, it *does* work with one of our other most recent sites using the same version of Enfold and WP: https://www.safesol.co.uk/

    So, like, what gives there?

    #1077635

    Hi D,

    This shouldn’t cause any issues, and this solution is coming from WordPress itself when they have added the Gutenberg editor when they released WordPress 5.0
    When you update to WP 5.x it automatically uses gutenberg which causes issues on a lot of themes, you can search or google for this, by installing and activating Classic Editor plugin, it will use the original wordpress editor and disable gutenberg.
    If you’re using Enfold 4.5.2 and up, you don’t need to install the plugin, you’ll have that option in Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor > Use WP Classic Editor. If you’re using versions lower than that then you need to install the plugin.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    #1077609

    Hi,
    Unfortunately the built-in WordPress search has trouble searching inside the ALB shortcode, one way around this is to add your text into the WordPress excerpt field so that it can be searched, another way is to use a plugin that can search the shortcode. While I didn’t find any plugins that have been reported to do this, I did find this plugin: WP FullText Search what makes this one different is that it extends the standard search by searching the meta-fields.
    Please give this a try. Another option might be SearchWP which our documentation provides a custom function for.

    Best regards,
    Mike
