    I tried adding Linkedin icon to my footer widget by reapplying the code that was there for YouTube, but it did not work. My goal is to have the Linkedin social media icon have the same effect as the Facebook, Instagram & YouTube icons.

    I’ve added the code that I tried and admin credentials in the Private Section below.

    Your help with this would be greatly appreciated. If there is a documented resource or example that I can follow, please direct me to it as I was unable to find anything when searching the forum and Enfold documentation. Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Julio

    Wenn du mit einem Child-Theme arbeitest ist das möglich, indem du dir ein child-theme loop-search.php erstellst.
    wenn du das öffnest, siehst du auf Zeile 37 im neuesten Enfold :

    echo "<span class='search-result-counter {$counterclass}'>{$post_loop_count}</span>";

    dahinter könnte man platzieren: ( this is edited content here – it is better to avoid placement if there is image )

    $searchimage = get_the_post_thumbnail( $the_id, 'square' );
    if( ! empty( $searchimage ) ) {
    	echo "<a class='slide-image search_image' href='".get_permalink()."'><span class='search-result-image'>{$searchimage}</span></a>";
    }

    wobei hier square durch andere Image-sizes von Enfold ersetzt werden kann ( large etc.)
    Der Rest wäre dann css.
    Dann hast du beides – die Nummerierung und ein featured Image.

    hier wäre die loop-search.php auf Basis von Enfold 4.9.2.1 – : https://pastebin.com/8d1jCDdJ
    platziert würde diese ( ich behalte gerne die original Baumstruktur bei ) im child-theme/includes folder

    schau mal hier: https://webers-testseite.de/?s=portfolio

    __________
    PS :
    das wäre auch mit der ajax Suche möglich – ohne ein extra Plugin.
    ___________

    PPS:
    hier sind mal die image-sizes, die man da setzen kann ( aus functions.php 211ff )

    widget (36x36),
    square (180x180),
    featured (1500x430),
    featured_large (1500x630),
    extra_large (1500x1500),
    portfolio (495x400),
    portfolio_small (260x185),
    gallery (845x684),
    magazine (710x375),
    masonry (705x705),

    Hallo, ich habe eine Website mit Enfold erstellt. Es sind über Portfolioseiten Artikel erstellt worden, die jeweils Suchbegriffe als Tags bekommen haben und natürlich ein Beitragsbild. Ich habe mit dem Plugin “WP Extended Search” erreichen können, dass die WP-Suche die Tags mit in die Suche einbezieht. Soweit-so-gut. Jetzt wünscht sich der Kunde allerdings, dass auf der Ergebnisseite (bei der Eingabe im Suchfeld funktioniert dies) die Beitragsbilder erscheinen – hierfür suche ich eine Lösung.

    Hi there,
    We have an Enfold Child theme version 1.0 running on our website. However, the person who purchased the theme for this website no longer works with us so we cannot access the license key.

    Google Search Console says that I have the following issues with our page:
    Mobile Usability:
    Clickable elements too close together
    Text too small to read

    Please advise on how we can receive customer support from you and if you are able to help us make the website page mobile friendly.

    I would really appreciate it if you could contact me as soon as possible as I have been trying to figure out how to contact you for a while now and management needs me to fix this issue as soon as possible.

    Thank you,
    Mariam Ali

    Hey Math-Alfredo,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    The search icon should display beside the mobile menu icon by default. You can actually see it in the demo (https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/). Did you modify any files?

    Please post the site URL and the login info in the private field so that we can check the issue further, and please make sure that the theme is updated to 4.9.1. You should also deactivate the cache plugin temporarily.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    In reply to: Enfold too slow?

    That’s exactly my problem. I get good scores on Page Speed test or GT Metrix. Almost 100%. HOWEVER, Google Search Console keeps saying it takes more than 4s to load my pages. All of them, not only image-heavy pages etc. It’s abysmal (see the links below). GSC community experts say page speed tests etc. are lab tests, and cannot predict real user experience. GSC is saying real user experience for my web is bad. (your experience seems to be good, but apparently GSC doesn’t think so)

    Vikinguard is a real user experience plugin. I copy pasted Viginguard results and GCS community replies etc. in the above message. Did you see them and do you have any suggestions? If “it loads fast on my computer” is only thing you can suggest, unfortunately I will have to try other themes. Especially as Vikinguard says it takes the longest time to load html for the website and the other article says Enfold is the second slowest WP theme…Of course your theme may not be the problem, but as I cannot find anything else right now, all I can do is to change theme unless you have any suggestions to improve the situation.

    Another site live

    We recently upgraded Harrison Garden Services website to include WooCommerce functionaility. Pending payment information. Harrison Garden Services are based in Burton On Trent Staffordshire and provide landscape gardening services to the surrounding area. We designed a brand new site for them based on Enfold and a logo which is now used on all of their vehicles.

    Our custom Facebook chat icon has been implemented to help convert enquiries with no performance impact.

    The site uses our optimised WooCommerce setup:
    Widget area added to the top of the shop loop so search and filters appear on mobiles
    Sidebar break points adjusted for better tablet experience
    Search bar altered to only include products

    The site scores 91/100 in web vitals testing
    Our standard Enfold performance stack includes:
    bespoke .htaccess settings
    bespoke functions.php settings
    Font pre-load
    Script merge and minify
    Caching
    Srcset with additional image sizes added
    WebP image generation

    Sorry, been busy elsewhere…

    Updating the live site via Updates > Themes, because 4.9 was showing as available, and using the old, original token that validated in Theme Update, crashed the site with the “critical error”. I had to FTP version 4.8.6.1 back up to /themes to get the site back online.

    After this, back on 4.8.6.1, I could validate this original token in Enfold Child > Theme Update – but the Manual Update check there failed to find 4.9 and Envato Market also fails that token with:

    Incorrect token permissions, please generate another token or fix the permissions on the existing token.
    Please ensure only the following permissions are enabled:
    View and search Envato sites
    Download your purchased items
    List purchases you've made
    Dismiss this notice.
    Additional Error Details:
    Found too many permissions on token..
    sale:verify
    []

    So I tried the new token I generated a few days ago. Theme Update again validates the token but Envato Market fails it as above.

    I then created another new token today. This again validates in Theme Update but again no Manual Update shows up. When I go into Envato Market and add this newest token, Save Changes, I get the error again as above (Incorrect token permissions). But if I go to the Themes tab, it lists Enfold Version 4.9 as available. I have not tried clicking Activate on this for fear of crashing the site again.

    One last try: I did the FTP upload of 4.9 into /themes, did the directory re-name as I’ve always previously done – and the site crashed with ‘critical error’. So reverted back to 4.8.6.1.

    So it appears both sites are now well and truly messed up, and cannot be updated.

    Why is Enfold Child > Theme Update validating all three tokens but Envato Market fails all three? This must be why the auto update is failing but doesn’t explain why the FTP upgrade is also failing.

    What next?

    Hey tinam12,

    Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:

    .search .post-meta-infos {
      display: none;
    }

    I come across something I can’t really put my finger on. Enfold seems to be nicely translated into Dutch by default, but when I want to change something myself, for example the text of the search results page, the .mo file turns out to be empty. If I edit that empty .mo file, Enfold is suddenly displayed in the English language.

    Where can I change this text?

    Hi,
    I am searching for some time on this forum and web for details on how to set thumb settings so images stay sharp and are used in the desired pixel size.
    I cannot find where to adjust the category thumbs size for woocommerce image in Enfold. I adjust all to 512×512, but on category overview the image is something like 412 width.
    On the specific category page the category thumb above the description is sized: 321×321

    Can you help me out and explain in what order and where the image settings need to be adjusted ? What is the hierarchy here, WP settings, Enfold settings, Woocommerce settings ?
    Details added in private.
    Thanks.

    I installed the plugin. Existing token on the site yields:

    Incorrect token permissions, please generate another token or fix the permissions on the existing token.
    Please ensure only the following permissions are enabled:
    View and search Envato sites
    Download your purchased items
    List purchases you've made

    Additional Error Details:
    Found too many permissions on token..
    sale:verify
    []

    I created a new token as per plugin instructions, entered it into Envato Market, Save Changes and get:
    Your OAuth Personal Token has been verified.

    When I then enter this new token into Theme Options and Revalidate, I get:

    We checked the token on 2022/03/02 15:59 and we were able to connect to Envato and could access the following information:
    Your purchases
    Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)

    Following errors occurred:
    username Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    - code: not_authenticated
    email Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    - code: not_authenticated

    The old token in https://build.envato.com/my-apps#tokens had this:

    This token has access to:
    View and search Envato sites
    View your Envato Account username
    View your email address
    Download your purchased items
    Verify purchases of your items
    List purchases you've made

    I then found this page: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#toggle-id-5, which says the token also needs “View the user’s account profile details”. So I added the other 3 from above and this. The token then validates.

    Before moving on, this raises an issue.

    The default plugin setting states you only need 3 permissions (as did the error message after I’d first installed the plugin):

    View and search Envato sites
    Download your purchased items
    List purchases you've made

    The existing tokens (and I have another licence/token as well as this site we are discussing) all have the 6 permissions above. But creating a new token with 3 or 6 doesn’t validate. I had to add “view account profile” as well. Why does the plugin say you only need 3, the old tokens have 6, but you actually (apparently) now need 7? Have Envato changed the rules/guidance? Whatever, if Enfold needs the 7 then maybe you might want to consider highlighting a link to that #toggle-id-5 page in a sticky post at the top of the forum?

    All that aside, I now have a nice, shiny bright new token that validates on the test site. But the manual update check still fails to find 4.9, and when I do the FTP directory re-name to update, I get the critical error again and the site is dead.

    Please note that the live site, which has the original token that failed on the test site, has found the 4.9 update (it is also on 4.8.6.1) and I have successfully re-validated that original token this afternoon. (The test site is set up as a sub-domain of the live site.)

    I know you offered to update the theme for me but I’d like to get to the bottom of why this token & site update has suddenly stopped working after all these years. Next steps?

    I have a client that I built a website for. I purchased and used the Enfold theme. He would like to update the theme and, for some reason, doesn’t want me to give me the new login to the dashboard anymore. He has asked for the personal token but from searching online, this would give him access to ALL themes that I’ve downloaded for ALL clients, correct? In this case, I should instead create the single use token? If so, can this be done WITHOUT me accessing the site or can HE somehow create this on his end, without my Envato/Enfold login? I do have the purchase code, if that helps.
    Please help ASAP – he would like to update the them quickly.

    Topic: Localize Google Fonts

    in forum Enfold

    Hello
    due to current reports regarding GDPR and an email by complianz I decided to move Google Fonts locally.

    Lato is set to my Header and Body font. So search for it on
    https://google-webfonts-helper.herokuapp.com/fonts/lato?subsets=latin

    I created a folder under wp-content/themes/fonts and uploaded Lato 300, 400 and 700.
    In enfold-child/styles.css I added the following…

    /* lato-300 – latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Lato’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 300;
    src: url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.eot’); /* IE9 Compat Modes */
    src: local(”),
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.eot?#iefix’) format(’embedded-opentype’), /* IE6-IE8 */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.woff2’) format(‘woff2’), /* Super Modern Browsers */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.woff’) format(‘woff’), /* Modern Browsers */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.ttf’) format(‘truetype’), /* Safari, Android, iOS */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-300.svg#Lato’) format(‘svg’); /* Legacy iOS */
    }
    /* lato-regular – latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Lato’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 400;
    src: url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.eot’); /* IE9 Compat Modes */
    src: local(”),
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.eot?#iefix’) format(’embedded-opentype’), /* IE6-IE8 */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.woff2’) format(‘woff2’), /* Super Modern Browsers */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.woff’) format(‘woff’), /* Modern Browsers */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.ttf’) format(‘truetype’), /* Safari, Android, iOS */
    url(‘../fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.svg#Lato’) format(‘svg’); /* Legacy iOS */
    }

    It works for Lato – it is now loaded locally.
    @font-face { font-family: “Lato”; src: local(“”), url(“https://sinnvoll-fuehren.com/wp-content/themes/fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.eot?#iefix&#8221;) format(“embedded-opentype”), url(“https://sinnvoll-fuehren.com/wp-content/themes/fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.woff2&#8221;) format(“woff2”), url(“https://sinnvoll-fuehren.com/wp-content/themes/fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.woff&#8221;) format(“woff”), url(“https://sinnvoll-fuehren.com/wp-content/themes/fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.ttf&#8221;) format(“truetype”), url(“https://sinnvoll-fuehren.com/wp-content/themes/fonts/lato-v22-latin-regular.svg#Lato&#8221;) format(“svg”); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; }

    However, Lato-Light still loads from https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/lato/v22/S6u9w4BMUTPHh7USSwiPGQ3q5d0.woff2
    @font-face { font-family: “Lato”; src: url(“https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/lato/v22/S6u9w4BMUTPHh7USSwiPGQ3q5d0.woff2&#8221;) format(“woff2”); font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; unicode-range: U+0-FF, U+131, U+152-153, U+2BB-2BC, U+2C6, U+2DA, U+2DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2122, U+2191, U+2193, U+2212, U+2215, U+FEFF, U+FFFD; }

    Why does it not work? Any hints on what I need to change?

    Cheers,
    Ralph

    PS: Shouldn’t this become a standard feature in Enfold, to host fonts locally?

    #1342013

    Hi Nikko,

    1. Thanks a lot!

    2. This problem with the quotes seems to have been solved. The text breaking issue, too.

    The footer is generally ok, however the anchor text and the copyright text should be centered text, as the current format looks very untidy.

    The Menu still doesn’t work properly on the mobile version. Sorry, please don’t disable plugins. It should be: Click on the text -> goto the page liked; Click on the arrow -> open the submenu That’s too risky for me. :(

    3. Thanks.

    4. It happens on all pages.

    Just tried placing structured data with the xyz HTML plugin onto this page: https://www.tt-bewerbungsservice.de/bewerbung/deckblatt-muster-kostenlos/deckblatt-bewerbung-ohne-foto.html. Google Rich Snippet Testing tool doesn’t find the JSON structured data resp. the FAQ Data. And for https://www.tt-bewerbungsservice.de/bewerbung/deckblatt-muster-kostenlos.html I still receive the error message in the Google Search Console (my translation from German): No Parsing possible for Structured Data – Structured Data with Syntax Errors found -> Details: Wrong structure: “,” or “}” is missing.

    I know this method I chose works for http://www.hausverwaltung-ratgeber.de. Please see an example: https://www.hausverwaltung-ratgeber.de/gute-hausverwaltung-suchen-und-finden.html. It must be the Enfold theme disturbing something, as this works fine on the other website.

    Thanks!

    Best,
    Till

    In reply to: Embedded Form Styling

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

    You may need to contact the script authors in order to modify the donation form and override the theme styles. For starters, you can add this code in the Quick CSS field to override the default contact form styles but the positioning of the form fields will still require some modifications.

    #bbox-root {
        font-size: 13px;
    }

    #top .bbox-root .input-text, #top .bbox-root input[type="text"], #top .bbox-root input[type="input"], #top .bbox-root input[type="password"], #top .bbox-root input[type="email"], #top .bbox-root input[type="number"], #top .bbox-root input[type="url"], #top .bbox-root input[type="tel"], #top .bbox-root input[type="search"], #top textarea, #top select {
        -webkit-appearance: none;
        border: 1px solid #e1e1e1;
        padding: 4px 0;
        outline: none;
        font: 1em "HelveticaNeue","Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
        margin: 0;
        margin-bottom: 0;
        background: #fff;
        line-height: 1.4em;
        padding-left: 5px;
        display: inline;
        font-family: inherit;
        float: none;
        border-radius: 3px;
        width: 50%;
        max-width: 171px;
        margin-right: 4px;
    }

    Please toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1341740

    Hi,

    You can open a new thread here.

    // https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold/#new-post

    Please note that the background video of the color section is disabled on mobile devices by default. This is why a fallback image option is available.

    If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Thanks Mike for going above and beyond.

    I think this is caused by a mod I made to the search script. Using a snippet from another forum post.

    I’ll check the file and report back.

    EDIT: See resonse below. Custom Code is fine. No custom JS in fuctions file. This is caused by Enfold see my latest reply for location of problem.
    Your fix seems to work though but needs adding to the 4.9 release of Enfold

    I am using the official WooCommerce filter Brands with Enfold. I have created brand overeview pages. On these pages the products of this brand are shown.
    The Shop Overview Widget is shown on the side, but the filters (WooCommerce Product Search – Product Attributes) are not in context of the brand.
    Can I make them contextual or if that is not possible, turn them off?

    Hello Guys, I am desperate, because I have several problems in my website developed with ENFOLD, a theme that I have been using for several years and very satisfied.
    So far I have been able to detect the following problems:
    1. We cannot enter the LAYER SLIDER admin, it indicates many redirects. https://gyazo.com/5b32a77a02a34694af57cf80a9e00d61
    2. I have YOAST SEO installed, a plugin that I have been using for years and that was able to record SEO data without problems while I built the page locally, but now that we try to work the SEO does not record the information that we tried to place. ( I have achieved a good organic positioning that is beginning to be affected because I cannot work on SEO.)
    3. I try to use the Easy Slider on my pages, but the images are not displayed: https://gyazo.com/79b835795307fabf7b7af28309ab6f06
    4. In Woocomerce it is not possible to complete the sales process because: a) The option to accept terms and conditions does not appear, b) Order is registered, but without customer data and without payment.

    Please I need help, I’ve searched everywhere and I can’t find answers to my problem.
    I’ll pass on my admin access so you can take a look.
    Thanks a lot.

    I see, I have replaced this code in your search.php file:

            'custom_query' => array( 'post__in'=>$post_ids, 'post_type'=>get_post_types() )
        );

        $blog = new avia_product_slider($atts);
        // $blog->query_entries();
        echo "<div class='entry-content-wrapper'>".$blog->html()."</div>";
    }

    with:

    global $posts;

    $post_ids = array();
    foreach($posts as $post) {
        $post_ids[] = $post->ID;
    }

    if(!empty($post_ids))
    {
        $atts   = array(
            'type' => 'grid',
            'items' => get_option('posts_per_page'),
            'columns' => 3,
            'class' => 'avia-builder-el-no-sibling',
            'paginate' => 'yes',
            'use_main_query_pagination' => 'yes',
            'custom_query' => array( 'post__in'=>$post_ids, 'post_type'=>get_post_types() )
        );

        $blog = new avia_post_slider($atts);
        $blog->query_entries();
        echo "<div class='entry-content-wrapper'>".$blog->html()."</div>";
    }

    and added this CSS code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS:

    .template-search .post-entry {
      clear: none;
    }

    Please review your site.

    Hi – I’ve used Enfold in the past, but I have a question. I want to build a website where my client will add product images in a random order, but then display them according to various categories.

    For example, maybe Product Category and a Size filter that I can display on a page or a visitor can choose the filters they want to view particular products.

    Could Enfold do that? How many filters could I use? Would I need a plugin? If so, which would you suggest? Is this a difficult thing to do?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I have reinstalled latest WordPress twice, but this did no solve the issue.
    I have latest enfold theme version.
    With server is all ok.

    So still searching for the reason of this problem – it is not only greyed out but also not uploading at all, but it is shown under Media as if it would have been uplodaded (with all media details, even the URL to the image/pdf is available, but that cannot been found).

    If anyone can help with this, this would be much appreciated.

    Best, mebi

    Hey Annemarie,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    This is possible but after the modification, the users will not be able to click on the logo because the main menu and the search icon container will cover it. If that is fine, then you can use this css code.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {

      /* Add your Mobile Styles here */
      .responsive #top #wrap_all .main_menu {
        left: 0;
        right: auto;
        width: 100%;
      }

      .responsive #top .av-logo-container .avia-menu {
        height: 100%;
        width: 100%;
      }

      #top #menu-item-search {
        float: right;
      }

      .responsive #top #header_main>.container .main_menu .av-main-nav>li>a {
        padding: 0;
      }

      .responsive #top .logo {
        float: right;
      }
    }

    You may need to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi, Rikard!

    I eventually find it, after searching and searching, but for someone that knows the Kriesi site, that may be ok, but for new users, which I think we all want more Enfold users, they’d have absolutely no idea where to look. We can do better than that. If we really want to kick things up a bit, here are some places that I think would really benefit both new users and seasoned ones.

    Intro screen for those first installing Enfold. Include a welcome, links to Docs, Tutorials, Snippets, and Examples for those looking for a creative kick-start.

    Add a Help tab to the Theme Options, with links to the various areas. Make it able to be disabled, for those with embedded solutions using Enfold, but on by default.

    Support Navbar link should NOT go straight to the forums. It makes users feel like they always have to look through volumes of information to solve what might be a quick answer to a question. It also makes support staff the central focus, rather than giving people and opportunity to quickly find what might be their solution, or lead them in the right direction.

    Support should be drop-down, with individual links to Documentation, Tutorials, Examples, Integrations, Latest Release (links to release notes), Forums, and direct link to Ask a Question.

    Demos should link to page that displays Demo content, but also great examples of Enfold used in the wild. With themes like Elementor getting massive national press, the least we can do is showcase some of the best and most innovative Enfold-driven websites. Lastly, a link to submit your own site for showcasing. I know it is in the forums, but do you really want people to have to dig to showcase an Enfold site?

    Let’s come up with a real and working solution for integrations. How may “Does Enfold work with…” questions do you get? There are a ton of us that regularly use sets of plugins that we know either work out-of-the-box or have created ways to integrate them. Let’s build a repository of those and spur on a new group of integrations. If we don’t call it out, how can we ever expect to make that “works with…” list longer? We want it so those products that we integrate look to promote Enfold as a great option for utilizing their solutions. We also need a way to suggest or request an integration.

    Also, is there any way to funnel the other Kriesi-based theme users into the Enfold trunk and simplify the support, enhancement and growth of Enfold as a platform, rather than just a theme? Would it be worth considering offering a license of Enfold to any other Kriesi theme user to encourage switching to the Enfold platform? It may cost a few sales, but at the same time, it gets them into a highly versatile platform that keeps growing, and might just spur on their creative spirits to do new things with Enfold. Just a crazy thought.

    I know I am asking for you all to add more work to your plates, but at the same time, I would be happy to help on some of it. We all want Enfold to continue to grow and flourish, but we have to also be willing to put effort into the Kriesi site to support those sales, support and promotional efforts. It also will help users in ways that will alleviate some service and support issues before they even get to the forums.

    I guess the bottom line is let’s work together as a community to showcase Enfold, grow our audience, which drives sales, which drives the ability to do even greater things.
