  • Searching brought me to this thread, solution seems great, but how can I modify this to disable the lightbox for just all posts, and keep the lightbox active for all pages?

    Hi!

    Please go to Enfold/js and open avia.js file and find

    exclude			:	'.noLightbox, .noLightbox a, .fakeLightbox, .lightbox-added, a[href*="dropbox.com"]',

    and change it to

    exclude			:	'#portfolio_page a, #portfolio_page, .noLightbox, .noLightbox a, .fakeLightbox, .lightbox-added, a[href*="dropbox.com"]',

    hi,
    I did a lot of search but find no answers, also checked with Woocommerce support and they said it might be a conflict with Enfold.
    could you please search for the product “test item” and check out with the ATM on the provided link,
    the order details are all missing on the “order-received page”, only the text “thank you ……” remains there.

    I have the latest woocommerce and Enfold installed,
    It’s urgent !! Any help would be appreciated.

    thank you :)

    Hi,

    basically I understand all about this annoying API requirements. I searched and found a solution for localhost too. API is adjusted and activated, the map works.

    My problem: But I can´t insert the address to get new coordinates in the backend of enfold. When I press the button “Insert address then get the coordinates” I get a error message. Why and what can I do? The website is still on localhost.

    Errormessage: Es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten! Google changed the way google maps work. You now need to enter a valid Google Maps API Key. You can read a description on how to create and enter that key here: Enfold Google Settings…

    Sorry about that – I thought the other one hadn’t posted. And just like everything in Enfold, I found it out after 2 hours of searching through every option. Thanks for your response.

    Hello Kriesi fine folks!

    I have been searching for ADA compliance standards and if/how Enfold has any ADA compliance measures incorporated into the theme. I am aware of the standards required per the ADA policy (link below) however I wanted to see if there is anything in Enfold that is capturing this information automatically or if there are any indicators built in Enfold that correct some of these already.

    http://www.section508.gov/
    General accessibility strategies:
    1. Title frames with text that facilitates frame identification and navigation
    2. Provide alternative text for all photos and graphics
    3. Provide text alternatives for multimedia content (Flash, video, and audio)
    4. Provide a hyperlink to a longer description for graphics that present important information such as charts, graphical tables, and diagrams
    5. Provide a description for each hyperlink
    6. Make sites usable for assistive technologies by providing alternative text for content that might normally be managed and/or hidden by Web components (such as JavaScript, Applets, Scripts, CSS) that these technologies do not utilize.
    7. When electronic forms are designed to be completed online, allow for assistive technologies to access information http://webaim.org/techniques/forms

    Thank you!

    Hi Andy,
    I’m not sure I’ve communicated the problem correctly. My search function and said results does indeed work. It’s the page layout and how the results are presented that is incorrect. Mine is completely different from the Enfold demo’s page. It has done this since day-one of installing the theme. And, it occurs across several website installations of the theme so it’s not local to this website. As such, I’m not sure how a complete reinstall or WP update would impact it, as suggested.

    Hoping to finally get this resolve and I really appreciate your help!
    Thank you,
    Nicole

    Hi there,
    all icons on the webpage are not shown correctly (eg. icon list, banners and search tab) on following browsers
    Chrome, Firefox , Internet Explorer. It works fine with Safari.
    I’ve already update to Enfold 3.7.1., clean the browser caches. But the problem still occurs.

    Thank’s for your support

    Hi,

    it’s working fine on our end and not we did not customize anything on the search page.

    There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

    Are we allowed to deactivate all your plugins?

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi,
    I have had a topic opened and Yigit was kind enough to help. Problem is that all the adjustments he made to the search box have disappear with the search box itself since I updated Enfold to (3.7.1).
    Here is the link to the original topic https://kriesi.at/support/topic/serch-box-position/

    Hey,

    Have you tried disabling the Enfold flags and using the ones from WPML?

    Best regards,
    Josue

    #679797

    Hi,

    1.) I’m sorry but I don’t think this is going to be added in the next update. You can request the feature here. https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/

    2.) Please create a single thread for each inquiry. If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    The problem occurs on all my installations of Enfold. Here is another website with the same problem: http://www.mwfpolo.com/?s=polo.

    Did your team customize the demo’s search results page or should your customer’s page look the same out of the box?

    Thank you

    Hi Yigit,

    I already wrote the right name -as you mentioned in the image-, but the problem is solved somehow.

    The reason might be related to this fact that I didn’t verify my domain before in Google API, so here is the steps for other participants who’ve faced the same issue like me. (this may not be the only way, but it worked for me :) :

    1- Go to Google Analytics
    2- Submit your website (in both “Analytics Account” and “Search Console”)
    3- Insert your Tracking ID in Enfold tab in WordPress dashboard.
    4- Then go to your Google APIs, click on “Domain Verification”, then add your submitted website in step 2 .
    .
    (it worked for me)

    (you may now close the thread please)

    Kind regards,
    Sadegh

    Hi

    Ive searched far and wide on this forum and google to solve my white text issue. My text editor is showing white text. I can see it, if I highlight the text with my mouse.

    I tried the following:
    • update my WP to 4.6
    • update Enfold to 3.7.1
    • de-activate all the plugins
    • my PHP memory is on 64m
    • emptied the cache

    Im not sure what else to do. Please help?

    Enfold version: 3.7.1
    WordPress version: 4.6

    I’ve looked into multiple topics about the search icon on mobile view and I have tried multiple solutions but none of them seem to work.
    I’m currently using the mobile menu for iPad landscape/portrait and mobile.

    This is the custom css I’m already using for the menu:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
    #mobile-advanced, #advanced_menu_toggle, #advanced_menu_hide { display: block; }
    nav.main_menu { display: none; }}
    #wrap_all {
    position: relative !important;
    }

    Hey segevmo,

    Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

    .avia-search-tooltip {
    	left: 116px!important;
    }

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hey zimbo,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Adjust the position of the search box with the following css code:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 989px) {
         .responsive .avia-search-tooltip {
             left: -200px !important;
         }
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #678588

    This works – ok.
    But if you have a transparent header you have to find a solution (for scroll offset i think) because the color-section f.e. with background image is looking through header.

    maybe you give the code of mine above a chance. You only have to activate in Enfold – Header – Extra Elements

    1) the search icon in Navigation
    2) Position of Header social icons (you don’t have to have social icons here)

    function av_move_search(){
    ?>
     <script>
    jQuery(window).load(function(){
    jQuery(".av-main-nav > li#menu-item-search").detach().appendTo('#header .social_bookmarks')
    });
     </script>
    <?php
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'av_move_search');

    What is not so nice on that solution is
    there is a little time shift till the search icon list point is in the social-icon list but it has the right position from the beginning.
    Only a little css is needed to have the search results in that dropdown look good:

    .ajax_search_entry {
        text-align: left !important;
        min-width: 250px !important;
        padding-left: 15px !important;
    }

    Hi Enfold!

    Any suggestions? Here is the update to my questions:

    1. How do I limit ajax search results with Relevanssi? The following code did not work for me:

     add_filter('avf_ajax_search_query', 'avf_modify_ajax_search_query', 10, 1);
    function avf_modify_ajax_search_query($search_parameters)
    {
    parse_str($search_parameters, $params);
    $params['numberposts'] = 3;
    $search_parameters = http_build_query($params);
    return $search_parameters;
    }

    2. As I told the ‘easy slider’ shortcode was not fully stripped. So my search results returned ‘Previous Next 1 2 3 4 5’ (depending on how much slided). I fixed this with the following code in functions.php

    add_filter('relevanssi_pre_excerpt_content', 'rlv_remove_flipbook');
    function rlv_remove_flipbook($content) {
     $content = preg_replace('/\[\/av_slideshow]/', '', $content);
     return $content;
    }

    3. I changed code in enfold-functions.php so my ajax results show the except. If possible I still would like to show highlight page content here as on my search result page. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance for the support!

    We wanted one of our main menu link to open an ajax portfolio we have.

    already added this to the functions

    add_action( 'wp_footer', 'enfold_customization_portfolio_linking', 999 );
    function enfold_customization_portfolio_linking() {
    ?>
    <script type = "text/javascript">
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){
    var p = getUrlParameter('custom_ajax');
    //jQuery('.grid-links-ajax').avia_portfolio_preview();
    jQuery('.post-entry-'+p+' .grid-image').click();
    });
    function getUrlParameter(sParam)
    {
        var sPageURL = window.location.search.substring(1);
        var sURLVariables = sPageURL.split('&');
        for (var i = 0; i < sURLVariables.length; i++)
        {
            var sParameterName = sURLVariables[i].split('=');
            if (sParameterName[0] == sParam)
            {
                return sParameterName[1];
            }
        }
    }
    </script>
    <?php
    }

    then we put this to the main menu url.
    http://www.yoursite.com/your_portfolio_page?custom_ajax=12
    with the proper url of our site and our portfolio page together with the proper ID.
    But, It STILL does not open an ajax portfolio, it goes straight to the page itself and not as an ajax popup.

    Any chance you can give light to this problem?

    Hi.

    I created i site using enfold theme.

    I have the search icon on larger devices but i would like to have the the search function in mobile devices also.

    I have tested solutions on the forum, but they don´t work for me.

    Please help.

    If the only thing I have on a page is a masonry gallery, and I have the caption set to display title only, should that title text that is displayed on the page be searchable using the site search? I would want that page to show in site search results for the titles that are displayed on the page. I’m not talking about a Google search, but the site search in the header of Enfold.

    Hello Ismael,

    1. I would like to show highlight content instead of the page excerpt. As you can see in the first image of my last post not all shortcodes are stripped. How do I fix this?

    2. I’ve edited the excerpt function for ‘AJAX live search’ in functions-enfold.php as you can see below. The excerpt of the page is now shown in live search. But how do I show content like on my resultpage without shortcodes instead?

     $excerpt = trim(get_the_excerpt());

    	            if(!empty($post->post_excerpt))
    	            {
    					$excerpt = apply_filters( 'the_excerpt', get_the_excerpt( $post->ID ), $post>post_excerpt,70," ","...", true, '', true );
    	                 //$excerpt =  apply_filters( 'avf_ajax_search_excerpt', avia_backend_truncate($post->post_excerpt,70," ","...", true, '', true) );
    	            }
    	            else
    	            {
    					$excerpt = apply_filters( 'the_excerpt', get_the_excerpt( $post->ID ), $post>post_excerpt,70," ","...", true, '', true );
    	                 //$excerpt = apply_filters( 'avf_ajax_search_no_excerpt', get_the_time($search_messages['time_format'], $post->ID), $post );
    	            }

    Looking forward for your reply.

    Hi,

    I have a question. At the bottom of this page I have a tab in which there are dictionary entries that are related to the key word that had been searched.
    http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/avant-garde#translations – ( there is browse label on the left and some scrolled words a bit on the right.

    My question how this thing can be done in enfold, I would be grateful for guidance.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Yigit,

    there is no widget area in the “Design/Widget” admin section defined for the search page, so I can’t use the visibility controls of the plugin you suggest or the internal WordPress functions which do essentially the same.

    Again: where can I control the widgets of the Enfold search page?

    Regards,
    Klaus
