    Enfold Team,
    We followed your instructions for adding relevanssi search as our default search with the ajax function. I am having one major problem and that is all WooCommerce Product results show html tags in the search results. The search results for pages are fine and display properly. The results are displayed first page results, then blog post results, finally Woo Commerce product posts (which is where it displays the html tags)

    Hi, Enfold Gurus,
    I’m trying to put the Ajax Search widget incl. the “Search” string add to the icon into the Header area instead of the Menu… I was tried to search within, found some suggestion, but none are worked so far… Any help? Thank you!

    AMP uses entirely different markups than old HTML as it avoids tons of JavaScript and usually limits CSS to only 50kb so minification is especially important with CSS. When done properly AMP even strips out things inside tags so having the backend theme optimized would be a lot more helpful. Many of the 3rd party plugins I have used for AMP really make the out of the box experience with Enfold not very good on AMP enabled mobile pages.

    AMP and overall site speed really are becoming huge ranking factors with Google so it is important to future proof as well as create a faster experience. Almost as equally important is switching your sites to https which Google recently called “imperative” for search rankings.

    Some things in the short term I have found to really speed up my sites are to move them away from GoDaddy to WP Engine instead which made a huge difference in both speed and uptime. Can’t underestimate how big of a difference. Another great option for amazing hosting is SiteGround, it and WPEngine are the best. Along with switching hosting, I did the regular maintenance of reducing the number of plugins I’m using and clean up the CSS to be lighter.

    In addition, I used the Imagify plugin to minimize/optimize all of the images which is the only plugin I have found that really works well, a thousand times better than WPSmush. All of my images were already optimized in photoshop but Imagify still on average has reduced the sizes by another 40% without bringing down the quality. For Caching I got WP Rocket which has been great and works well with WP Engines internal coaching as well I my hosting’s CDN. The CDN has made a bigger difference for me by evening out the experience in different cities and countries.

    My site https://www.bigboytravel.com is the most cluttered and busiest I have and while it still has a long way to go speed wise, the tips I mention above have really helped a lot so far in making it faster as I wait on AMP

    In reply to: Enfold logo on mobile

    Hello,

    Maybe once again chronologically:
    I startd building my website with Enfold. I put a picture in the header space:
    I don’t use a logo from myself. So the enfold logo appeared on the site. I removed the logo using:
    .logo { display: none; } in the quick css.

    Checking my site on ipad and iphone it appeared that on my Iphone the Enfold logo still appeared.

    The suggestion from the helpdesk was to use:
    .responsive .logo { display: none !important; }
    Then the logo on my iphone was not there anymore. But the header picture was gone, only on my iphone.

    A participant suggested to use:

    }

    .logo {
    visibility: hidden !important;
    }
    When i used that in the quick CSS the picture was back, but the search icon on mu iphone appeared in the middle of the headerpicture. On top of that i had no menu on the iphone. And that is how it is now.

    Hey projectt_co_uk,

    This feature isn’t available in Enfold, I think some of the functionalities are available on some plugins whether free or paid. Try to search for car leasing or rental plugins in https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or paid ones in https://codecanyon.net/ some themes may also provide functionality, unfortunately we don’t have a theme that suits what you need. :(

    Hi, I have been using screaming frog to help SEO and the tool is flagging up duplicate page title/descriptions. Basically all my site’s pages seem to have been replicated with a /?s= on the end.

    I have updated the theme and plugins and wordpress. I have AIOSEO installed and have selected NOT to index search pages. This is only happening with Enfold theme.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,
    I guess, I’m supposed to write this message in English, as your site doesn’t offer any other options. So I will try to formulate my issue in English as well…
    I’m looking for an suitable theme for a customer who’s business is software training. She doesn’t want or need to show pictures, she doesn’t want for her customers to scroll through endless lists to get the needed information. But she needs an password-protected private area. So my question is: Can you recommend one of your themes that offers those things? Certainly I did search for a fitting theme before I wrote this mail. But unfortunately the live-demos doesn’t show every feature and I can’t see, if it is possible to disable huge Sliders – for example. “Propulsion” and “Sentence” seem to go in that direction… My boss is a huge fan of Enfold (me too) but I think it’s way to much. We need something more discreet, unobtrusive, but with that “tad of special”, if you know what I mean… I would be very glad to hear from you and to get a recommendation for free. Cheers to Austria from Germany Anita :-)

    Hi Luis,

    Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

    #grid-1272 .tg-search-inner {
        height: 32px;
    }

    If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Hi! :)

    I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution to this, and I cant find it. What I want to do is simply to change the way a single product page looks – specifically, the size of the main image (it needs to be big – I’ll be selling art and the picture needs to be full size or close), and the placement of the product info (preferably below the large main image).

    And I want to do it with coding. I have no knowledge of coding what so ever.

    I’ve tried changing pixel size under woocommerce – settings – products – display. No result, even when I regenerate thumbnails.
    I’ve looked all over for a plug-in that does it (preferably free, but not necessary), can’t find any.
    I’ve googled ad searched YT for hours, no solution.

    Any help would be highly appreciated! :)

    Regards / M

    I am setting up a new site and wish to add a simple footer area with page links or widgets.
    Flush left, once vertical column.
    Example:

    Home
    About
    Contact
    Phone
    – social icons –
    copyright 2017 me

    i Have attempted to create, layout, edit, add, ANYTHING to the template layout. I have gone into individual pages and tried all options for footer layout. Theme footer customization., etc. I got nothing but a blank space footer.

    I finally created a footer-menu in the new Menu area and figured out how to add this “footer-menu” to the site. However, the pages and links simply stream across the entire bottom of the site left to right. While this looks ok on a computer, it does not work well on a smart device as all the links are scrambled on top of each other.

    How do I create a simple footer and where do I edit this and make it function? I have searched every where for a tutorial etc. Nothing I have found in a tutorial works, such as simply adding a “new footer category” etc. Thank you in advance for any input on this mystery.

    Guten Tag liebes Team,
    komme leider trotz der vielen Hinweise nicht zum Ziel. Habe auch in einer deutschen Enfold-Seite (versteckt im Coming-Soon-Modus) als Breadcrump “Du bist hier” stehen und möchte es auf “Sie sind hier” ändern.
    In meiner class-breadcrumb.php finde ich aber nur “You are here”, also die englische Variante. Soll man die einfach in deutsch ändern?

    Nach Installation von Loco Translate (s. o.) komme ich nicht auf den angegebenen Pfad:
    Themes” > Enfold > German > Editor > search “You are here” > change german translation >

    Ist damit Themes > Enfold > Customizer gemeint? Dort finde ich keinen Eintrag “German”

    Habe auch versucht, via Yoast SEO Breadcrumbs den Präfix für die Breadcrumbs auf “Sie sind hier” einzugeben, das beachtet das System auch nicht.

    Vielen Dank von Sylke.

    Hello,

    I inserted 2 search bars at the top right at the same time according to this quide https://kriesi.at/support/topic/move-search-icon-to-secondary-menu-3/#post-736420:
    one through “Menu item” (the smaller one) and one through “Phone number” (the bigger one).

    As you can see in IE 11 the smaller one has the focus-problem, and the bigger one not.
    Therefore I would say it is a problem of WordPress menus in IE 11 or of Enfold Menus in IE 11.

    The Search bar through “Menu item” (which has the focus-problem) would be much more comfortable, because it lands automatically at the very end of the top menu.
    Now I had to insert jQuery for the Search bar through “Phone number” in order to push it to the very right. Which is visible during page loading as this bar is jumping, in desktop and in mobile modus, – not nice! See the link in the private content. Some ideas?

    Best regards

    Hi Yigit,

    Hmm those logins were working the other day, — I updated the pw’s with the default strong ones, they are below. I tried the Staging login and it worked.

    I’ve been hacking away at the problems and sort of fixed a number of them on Staging. – On Staging:
    1. It has the current version of Enfold
    2. Plugins updated
    3. WordPress updated to current version
    4. Fixed the search magnifying glass problem
    5. I disabled UberMenu and fixed the worst menu styling issues.

    I need to check with the Director to make sure that she likes this native mobile menu. (I like it better than the UberMenu mobile menu, it’s clearer.)

    If we stay with no-Ubermenu (likely), the issues I’ll need to resolve are (in Staging):
    1. In the mobile header, the menu area apparently has a white background that is overlaying the blue line of the bottom of the header area.
    2. In desktop version, there’s a line below the main menu item of the current page – I haven’t been able to figure out how to get rid of this.
    3. In desktop version, I may need to change the background color of the submenu, what is that styling?

    Thank you! Vicki

    Trying to access the WP login page for my site and getting the following error message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function av_icon_char() in /public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/searchform.php on line 18

    Updated the theme to the latest 4.2 version via FTP but that did not resolve the issue. Have also tried disabling all of the plugins even though it states the issue is related to an Enfold theme file.

    Please can you advise ASAP.

    Thanks

    Hi
    I purchased the theme today and as much as I was excited to test it out whenever I do try to install it I get “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again” text.

    I did search thru forums etc. and I can’t use Filezilla, I did unzip the file propely.

    Could the error be due to my trying the theme “offline” specifically on my pc without the host and domain?

    Hi Enfold Team,

    Firstly – great theme, we have been using it for 4 years and typically I can solve most of my questions from searching the forum.

    In this case I need your help.

    I’m using tab section and on this page it works great. http://jambarteambuilding.com/james-demo-2/
    all the elements inside each tab is using the full width. Layout looks perfect.

    For this page http://jambarteambuilding.com/choose-your-experience/ . Ive added 2 x 1/2 layout elements into each tab and I have an image in one and a video in the other. As you can see it does funny stuff to the layout and most of the content gets pushed down below the tabs. The layout and behaviour seems to break.

    Any help would be much appreciated

    Cheers

    I have been trying to find a way to have a team functionality that goes beyond the built-in Enfold one that is really limiting. But, I just cannot seem to find one that is searchable, filterable and sortable. It is frustrating, because Avia has all of the elements needed to make the Team functionality spectacular. It really should be CPT-based, so that team data can be centrally located, yet have the versatility of putting the info anywhere on the site. You can do it with various other areas.

    Anyway, getting this functionality in Enfold is probably not going to happen anytime soon, despite best wishes. So, does anyone know of a plugin that can accomplish this? There are various plugins and all with a ton of gimmicky effects, but none that really add any searching, sorting or filtering abilities.

    I am under a tight deadline, so would really appreciate any guidance you might have.

    Hi.
    We have a big problem with image overlay.
    We searched all the forums to find the solution and it seems that a lot of people have overlay problems.

    We have a page with an added picture through default editor. Image class is set to center and enfold classes are removed because they cause more problems. We added to extra css:

    .image-overlay {
     visibility: hidden;
     }

    .overlay-type-extern{
      display: none !important;
    }

    .avia_textblock img.center {
    	border-radius: 10px;
      display: block;
      margin-left: auto;
      margin-right: auto;
    	margin: 0;
    	padding: 0;
    }

    The image presents fine when the image has no href tag. But when we add href the rounded corners disappear on mouseover and does not come back when mouse is removed.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hey Pim,

    Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1360px) {
      nav.main_menu {
        display: block !important;
      }
      .menu-item {
        display: none;
      }
      .av-burger-menu-main.menu-item-avia-special, #top #menu-item-search {
        display: block;
      }
    }

    If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Best regards,

    Hello,
    I see that the problem is that the search form/box that I created in Quick CSS in Enfold shows instant results from only my blog posts when I type in a search term; it ignores the rest of my website completely.

    When I hit my computer keyboard’s return key, that’s when I see the results of searching the entirety of the website, including the blog posts.

    It’s not obvious that visitors to my website have to hit the return key to see search results of my entire website. If they stopped at the instant results (that is, if they did Not hit the return key), they’d only get the search results of the blog posts only.

    Is there a way to change the message, or maybe even disable instant results, making hitting the return key mandatory? I’ve attached a screenshot for your review. Thank you.

    Hello,

    with this post I kindly ask for help. My english is not good at all. But I am trying my best.

    I am a newbie @wordpress. Till this day, I was able to solve every question with searching the net, but know I finally stuck.

    I am using the Enfold theme with the child theme, I downloaded at this page.

    When I started to build my blog, I deleted every example from the installation (this was not a good idea…).
    I build new sites and new categories.
    The imprint, Contactsite, data protection site works very well.

    Now, after writing my first few articles I recognize that the view ist not the way I was expecting it.

    The Startpage ist a fixed build site with a Gallery and a greeting.
    At the Sidebar I put three categories. When I am writing an article, I choose a category, so that my links on the sidebar works.
    Surprisingly after clicking at the category I see at the appearing site a list with my articles consisting with the header, authors name and the date.
    There I have to click a link “read” to get at the finally article site. This view is not nice for visitors.

    My first question is:
    Is there a way to work at the category site to see a preview of each article? A few lines and a picture?
    I think here I have to work with the thing called loop? I have no experience with html and Css. The explanations I found on this did not
    answered my question because they were not explained for newbies. Do you have a tip on this for me? Maybe a easy way without CSS?

    My second question is: (I suspect because of deleting the examples I have this problem.)
    I do not find a solution to make a single site, page or category to list all my articles from top to down. Just the blogs job.
    Do you have an idea how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you very much for your support.

    kindly regards
    Ronny

    [I had to move post # 886976 from the pre-sales forum to here. Long story! Yigit is familiar with the issues.]

    There are multiple issues.
    First, the mobile menu does work/is a mess in Enfold version > 4.7. I rolled back Enfold to version 4.7 on our Live site. Here’s a screenshot of it on our Staging site (or just look at mobile version of Staging url below): https://photos.app.goo.gl/R9LmcUHmCKmWqmP63

    Some of this is fixed if I disable UberMenu, but then that causes other problems.

    Second, another thing that the newer Enfold does (in Staging) is put an additional Search (magnifying glass) in the header, on top of the logo. Happens in full website and mobile site. It should only be to the right of the main menu. It’s ok on Live with Enfold 4.7.

    Yigit had asked me to create Admin accounts on Staging and Live for him, that info is included below.

    Thank you! Vicki

    Hello,
    The default search box/search form in the header searches only within my blog posts page.

    I want a default search box/search form, in the Header, that allows visitors to my website to search my entire website, including blog posts page.

    I know that inserting the Search form widget allows this type of global search box/search form to appear in a sidebar, but I’m not looking to put this search box/search form in a sidebar. I want to put this global search box/search form in the Header specifically.

    Is there a Quick CSS that I could add to make this happen? If no, how else can I create this type of global search box/search form in my header?

    Thank you for your assistance. I await your reply.
