Thank you, Mike! That has gotten me on the right track. I have created the custom post type and added two additional featured images. My only question now is where to put the extra bit of PHP to call the additional images in the theme? It would be something to the effect of:
<?php echo wp_get_attachment_image(get_post_meta( $post_id, 'second_featured_image', true),'thumbnail'); ?>
Thank you!
Not just the thumbnails the entire gallery. He wants ZERO framing on pictures.
Thank you for helping!
Hi,
Do you mean for the thumbnails underneath the large image?
Best regards,

Hi,
1- I installed Simple Image Sizes plugin and adjust image sizes there and regenerated thumbnails. I also added following custom CSS code to Enfold theme options > General Styling > Quick CSS
#top .fullsize .template-blog .post .entry-content-wrapper {
max-width: 100% !important;
}
#top .fullsize .template-blog .post .entry-content {
max-width: 800px !important;
}
Could you please review your website?
2- I checked your post but featured image shows up on my end. Attached a screenshot in private content field below :)

Hi,
Sorry about that. We can’t really tell you anything aside from the fact that the feature is currently under development. Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact date when it will be available, or if it’s going to be added at all. Having an srcset attribute or multiple thumbnails to select from is really advantageous, but it doesn’t mean that you will no longer be able to optimize the images without the attribute as seen in one of the articles above. The demo site achieved perfect score in Google PageSpeed Insights without the feature or attribute.
What you can do for now is to concentrate on other areas of the site, and optimize those instead. Start by reading the articles above. You can also look for plugins that enable responsive images as @Victoria suggested above if you really need to enable the srcset attribute.
Thank you for understanding.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Enfold team from Spain
I’m developing a new website using Enfold that uses the posts of the old one, and I get the images of archive page cropped instead of redimensioned to fit width space (using author unico, small image), I have the option in media, crop thumbnail images disabled but still the same.. is there any way to show the images resized, not cropped, in this layout?
Thank you very much in advance!
Hi Rikard,
Thanks for the advice and I managed to fix it.
Here is what I did.
1. Turned off performance (Enfold->Performance) and made sure the checkbox at the bottom was selected (Delete old CSS and JS files?)
2. Disabled Total Cache
3. Disabled Jetpack (At this point the thumbnails worked)
4. Re-enabled Enfold Performance
5. Re-enabled Jetpack
6. Re-enabled Total Cache
Thanks again for your help.
Kind Regards,
Adrian
Hi
I’ve just update to 4.6.3.1 and I’ve noticed that my thumbnails are constantly opaque.
I have included a link below.

Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We want it to simply pull in the full size image
That is the default size of the featured image in the single post page. If you want to adjust it, install the following plugin, then go to the Settings > Media panel. Look for the “entry_with_sidebar” thumbnail, adjust the width and height value, update, save and then regenerate the thumbnails. You have to manually upload the images again if you don’t want to regenerate all existing thumbnails.

Let us know how it went.

Hi Victoria
Thats odd, is the correct URL and works fine for me, also works fine in
https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/iwastellingarthur.com
Could you try again please?

Sorry, I wasn’t clear in the original post, I’m talking about the clipping of the images, not the size on the screen.
All the uploaded featured images are a mix of portrait and landscape as well as different dimensions. What I’m trying to do is have them displayed in their correct ratio, with no clipping. So for thumbnails that are set to 100×100, a featured image of 1500×1000 would display as 100×67.
The same would apply to a single post, I don’t want the full 1500×1000 image to be shown as the featured image on the single post, just the whole image, in original aspect ratio, reduced to fit the frame specified.
Does that make sense?
Hi,
Thank you for the info.
And uploading the background image at even 1600×1600 doesn’t fix it
Have you tried resizing the image to 1600x900px? The image should have an aspect ratio of 16:9 to allow the parallax script to properly calculate the offset value. Or try to use the “Fullscreen Sections/Sliders” thumbnail version of the image, which has the same exact size.
seems to be happening on the pages with layersliders at the top of the page.
Do you have a test page where we can see the layer slider and the parallax background issue?
If I adjust the browser width just a little bit one way or the other, the background image “snaps” i
The following script will emulate a resize event, which hopefully snaps the parallax background into place. Please add it in the functions.php file:
add_action('wp_footer', 'ava_auto_resize');
function ava_auto_resize(){
?>
<script>
(function($){
var int = window.setInterval(function(){
$(window).trigger('resize');
$(window).trigger('debouncedresize');
$(window).trigger('av-height-change');
}, 1000);
$(window).on('load', function() {
setTimeout( function() {
clearInterval(int);
}, 5000);
});
})(jQuery);
</script>
<?php
}

Ismael
Sure, the last one here is a new one. If I use exactly the same size fatter image as before it comes out deeper, if I substitute a preexisting one from another portfolio post as a featured image it lines up. Has something to do with how the thumbnails are be generated by the theme and/or WP I imagine?

Hi,
the site is http://www.iwastellingarthur.com
I’ve tried several things but can’t seem to get the featured images on single posts or blog lists (like on the front page) to show the full image in the appropriate size. Is there a way I can do this?
Cheers
Dear Kriesi team, thanks for the gorgeous Envold theme.
I bought it for extensive use with “The Events Calendar” plugin for a seminar website.
I have still some challenges in combination with The Events Calendar.
1. Some part are not in German translation format:
– the address (still in “City, ZIP” > has to be “ZIP City”)
– costs (although configured right – the price is shown “€ XX” > has to be “XX €”)
– other plugins still show English date format (“18 Oktober 2019” > should be “18. Oktober 2019”)
2. The category page is fine formatted in events calendar format:
But the tags result page has an own format:
Is it possible to show the tags page like the category page? (some hook for the functions.php in child theme?)
3. The display of the details in results is not optimal:
I tried to optimize the display of each event with CSS. But I reached my limit:
the address should be displayed in one line above the content OR under the content.
4. The display of the details is not optimal:
The venue should be right, besides the details. Now there is a blank space on the right side.
Is there a possibility to show venue on the right side and therefore shorten the page?
5. The news/blog page is not quite pretty because:
– the height of the thumbnails varies. it is not a optical line with the headlines.
– if an article has no pictures the is a strange placeholder instead (“pencil” in blog view and details view)
Thanks in advance!
Hi Franck,
I gave you the code here
So I am closing this thread as a duplicate.

Hey ryane2222,
You need to have the images and the thumbnail width at at least 400px, the images are shown at 394px on my end and so the 300px are stretched to 400px and so they look blurred.
Best regards,
Victoria
Hi, I’ve uploaded photos to a gallery and the colors are off when viewing from the gallery.
Something is making in the thumbnails change the actual look fo the photo – please see link below
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p8ai900as9nxoiq/Screen%20Shot%202019-10-19%20at%209.16.45%20PM.png?dl=0
– also theme shows update available, but I am not able to update. I click on update, says it updated but when I go back to the theme shows update available again.
I want to deactivate borders only on the thumbnails of this gallery appearing in the layer slider : http://www.sphere-evenements.com/autres-receptions-privees/
I don’t want to deactivate borders on all galleries.
Thank you,
Franck
When I import a new portfolio item and Brin gin a new featured item the same size as all the others the grid displays the new thumbnail somewhat deeper than the others. See the last such increment on the url above. If I use an old image from the media library (same exact size) it worked perfectly. I assume there’s something different about the way the thumbnails are be generated now as opposed to some time ago. Is there any way to rectify this? I’d rather not have to use new featured images on all the portfolio posts to make them all the same.
Thanks,
Tony
Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The insert shortcode icon is located in the the default or standard editor’s toolbar. Please check the screenshot below.

Moreovern, in a simple gallery, is there a way to deactivate borders around thumbnails ?
Which gallery? Yes, it is possible with css. Give us a link to the page where the gallery is, then we’ll provide the css.

Thank you Victoria, it works.
Now I’d like to deactivate borders on the thumbnails just for this gallery. How can I do ? What is the code to insert in the shortcode please ? (I’ve tried #top div .avia-gallery img { border : none;} but it doesn’t work inside the [shortcode]
Thanks for your help

Hi,
If I replace slider by masonry on large screen,
Sorry. We are not entirely sure what you meant by that. What did you replace?
Looks like your images are not fully optimized. Even the thumbnails that are 200px in width amounts to 110KB in file size. They should be at most 30KB or less (see private field). The instructions in the following article should help you optimize the images.

Hi Team Kriesi,
is there a way to customize the aspect ratio of the post thumbnails shown in the masonry gallery?
I chose the “perfect manual masonry” option and applied “landscape” and/or “portrait” tags to the posts. Works fine. But is there a way to change the hight and width variables of the “landscape” and “portrait” tags in the code?
The masonry_entries.php file gives me no options to customize the sizes. In which file do I adjust them?
Thanks for your help in advance!
Thanks Ismael !
“You can generate the masonry shortcode using the Insert Shortcode icon” : how can I use the insert shortcode icon, where can I find it ?
