Thank you for the clarification.
We could see the tear in the images now. What happens when you select a different thumbnail from the gallery’s Styling > Gallery Preview Image Size settings? This is set to 495x400px by default with crop disabled and selecting a different thumbnail or image size without the tear might solve the issue.

Sorry for the confusion. What do you mean by jagged tear exactly? Do you mean that the images are cropped and doesn’t display the whole image same as the source or original image?
If this is what you meant, then this is quite normal. Cropping of images depends on the thumbnail registration settings or if the crop parameter for a particular image size is enabled. If this parameter is enabled for a particular thumbnail, WordPress will automatically crop and resize that thumbnail to the specified dimension regardless of the original image’s aspect ratio. If the crop parameter is disabled, the thumbnail will be resized and retain its aspect ratio without being cropped.

Thank you for the inquiry.
The Slideshow Image and Video Size settings will only affect the video if the video slides’ Styling > Video Size is not set to the first option, and this option will only affect the aspect ratio of the video and its height calculation. If it is set to the first option, the aspect ratio of the video will be set to 16:9 by default.
This is the calculation of the slider height
$stretch_height = ceil( $viewport / ( $video_ratio[0] / $video_ratio[1] ) * 100 );The value of the $viewport is based on the width of the selected thumbnail in the Slideshow Image and Video Size divided by its height while the $video_ratio is based on the Video Aspect Ratio settings.

I’m using the Fullwidth Easy Slider and am trying to use a custom size (height).
I have registered my custom thumbnail size in the child theme, and it is appearing as a choice under “Slideshow Image and Video Size”. When I choose that size it works perfect for images, however it will not crop videos. The videos end up at their full height and the images at my custom size.For the video slide content I have it set to stretch and be cropped top and bottom.
How can I register my custom thumbnail size to also properly crop the video at that same size.
When I choose 1500×430 or 1500×630, it works as intended. But my custom size of 1500×500 doesn’t work on the video.Any ideas on a fix? or a function I can add to child theme?

Hi,
Checked it. For me it works.
But it depends on your settings.
Background images do not support scrset as the img tag – only for resolution (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/image-set)
If you select Image size behaviour to “no stretch” you get img tags and you must select an image size that has responsive thumbs (check option “Responsive Images Thumbnails Overview:”).

We are not yet sure why the the images have different sizes but we noticed that the site contains a very old version of the theme, v4.4.1. You have to download the latest version v4.7.6.3 from your Themeforest account and update the theme manually via FTP.

However, these 2 files are not from our theme but custom made tweaks most likely from your developer.

My host is urgently asking me to delete the files in wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia (227132 files).
I have looked at a few threads and:
– disabled CSS file merging and compression
– Disabled Javascript file merging and compression
– Deleted old CSS and JS files
– installed Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails
– installed Force Regenerate ThumbnailsThere is still a massive amount of files. Can you please take a look?

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, this is not how posts element works out of the box. In order to show images in the Masonry, Magazine or any posts element in the builder, we have have to apply a featured image to the post. Please check the following documentation for more info about featured images.

Then go to the files wp-content > themes > enfold > includes folder, then copy loop-index.php.

NikkoSo I was an old Incarnation user and was able to create a new “sermon” and add the Facebook embed code for a video and it worked just fine.
Now in the new Enfold theme I purchased I am not able to do it without a lot of white space and also the Magazine and Masonry content types dont display the image from the post? I can only show the image embed when using the blog post type and FULL content to inject the post on the homepage
I included my staging site to show where images show and where they dont.Is there a way to use the masonry or the magazine and show the thumbnails of the Facebook videos like the full blog post option?

The lightbox script automatically uses the Large thumbnail for the preview, so you have to increase its size in order to get a sharper image. The size of the thumbnail can be increased in the Settings > Media panel, then use this plugin to regenerate the thumbnails.

DateAfter updating WP to 5.5 and Enfold to 4.6.7.3 I recently wanted to add a new gallery to our website as done several times before. All 63 images are of the same height, but nor the same width. In the last row, the first few columns are not populated with thumbnails. Rearraging the images does not lead to a better result.
Initially, I had used images with the same width but various height and the effect was even worse, gaps appearing in the thumbnails in various rows.

I came across one issue, that might be by design. When I place an image that is linked only sometimes it adds the overlay (round circle with arrow on hover) to those linked images. What I found is it only gets added to images if I place the full size image and don’t adjust the size at all. If I use the Medium, or Thumbnail, or adjust the size in the editor (using box handles) then the linked image no longer gets an overlay on hover.Is there a way around this or is this intentional behavior?
Or is it just me?

Hi – I have just added a simple gallery to my website and the thumbnail images are really blurry both on the desktop and phone. When you open them up, they are clear images but the thumbnails are not.
I have tried a “regenerate thumbnail” plugin which did nothing.

Now I’m trying to make the thumbnails display in one line and making it scrollable. Is there a way to add something to function.php or css to achieve that?

I am just trying to explain what’s going on.

In my case, crawl anomaly occurs almost exclusively on pages with sliders, galleries, videos, thumbnails and things like that. Those pages are also considered “text too small to read, & clickable elements too close together.” You may say they are two different issues, but they are affecting the same pages. It’s hard to believe that it’s just a coincidence, especially when the problem goes away after I remove media elements.
Anyway, I am just trying to let you know what I am experiencing. I am not complaining to you. So please don’t be so defensive. I am not a technical savvy user AT ALL. I just want to focus on writing, but feel forced to do something to fix Google issues as the number of visitors are now less than half compare to pre-COIVD, pre-mobile crawling era (6 months ago). My web is an abysmal situation.
See how I rarely opened cases over the last few years? Everything was working fine. Now I am suddenly struggling in my battle against Google bots.
