Hi crealities!
Thank you for using the theme. I hope you’re doing well today.
The website is not loading on my end. I’ll ask the rest of the support team to check this. Please post a screenshot of the issue.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi!
1) It seems like you solved the columns issue? The images have the same height and are displayed in 3 columns: http://www.clipular.com/c/6410043947745280.png?k=G5fwSJP-1JAi0IPfo-0qbok3R_A – I suggest to increase the thumbnail quality (you can do this in the gallery modal/option window) though because at the moment the images are blurry.
2) Yes, Ismaels link http://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927359 points to a vimeo channel and the lightbox can’t open it. Please right click on the link and open it in a new tab/window.
Regards,
Peter
Hey park13!
How are you? I hope you feel great today. Thank you for the question.
The facebook plugin looks ok when I resize the browser. You can change the “Interesting Links” widget on Appearance > Widgets. Look for the Footer – Column widget areas. Define the number of footer columns on Enfold > Footer > Footer Columns.
If you already add the image as “Featured Image” then you don’t have to add it on the page or post editor using the “Add Media” button. Please use this plugin to manually resize the thumbnail: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

Ismael
HI
I created my shop and my images on the category and product pages are all different sizes, and I want them to all to be the same size, without cropping the picture. Even if that means some images have to shrink to fit in proscribed “box”, that is fine. Also, some of them it has cropped the picture in half, and on the rollover image, some do not fill the whole box.
Here’s an example from my website: http://outtagear.com/product-category/all-gear/tools/ . Also the product pages have different size images like here: http://outtagear.com/product/klymit-inertia-xl-sleeping-pad/ and here: http://outtagear.com/product/teton-tracker-5o-f-sleeping-bag/ .
I know the original images I uploaded are different sizes, so that accounts for the different sizes on the website, but I would think with the global image sizes that I have set would resize them all to the same aspect ratio.
Here’s what I’ve tried to get the same aspect ration/size :
1. Re-sized the images in Settings<Media . Then “Regenerated Thumbnails”
2. “Regenerated All Thumbnails” in Tools<Regen. Thumbnails
Help! Thanks
Hey!
Try using this plugin to regenerate your thumbnails:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Best regards,
Josue
Hi!
Thumbnail image size of widget is 36x36px by default. If you would like to increase it more, please go to Appearance > Editor and open Functions.php file and find
$avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] = array('width'=>36, 'height'=>36); // small preview pics eg sidebar news
and change width and height to desired values. Then regenerate thumbnails using this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
After that you may need new custom CSS code.

Trying to figure out why the last thumbnail in my gallery is showing up as larger than the rest. Any ideas?

Hello,
We are using Events Calendar plugin on our site. We have just listed our first event which is due on 21st March. On the settings page of the plugin we have configured the calendar entries to be shown as well on the main blog loop. Everythings word well apart from the way the entry displays on the blogs page.
The problem is that the calendar entries are not indented to the right as the rest of the blog posts. The posts display in the center of the page leaving the sidebar to the right and a thumbnail to the left. All thumbnails are aligned vertically and united by a thing dashed line.
The entries from Events Calendar d0n’t not show indented as the rest of the posts, they show aligned all the way to the left of the page.
Here is a screen shot of the blog page as it is displaying right now, the entry from Events Calendar is the first one on the top of the page:

I would appreciate your help in solving this issue.
Thank you

I am struggling here. I am trying to understand how to add images to a blogpost.
For multiple images in one post, I made this on my client Dev site: http://www.kennethbsmith.com/clients/abww/gallery-post/
I didn’t understand why the thumbnails didn’t line up, three across.
Thinking that maybe some of my CSS has caused issues, I started a fresh new test site using the Import Demo data and got this: http://www.kennethbsmith.com/clients/wprwd03/2014/03/03/hello-shortcode-blogpost/
Shouldn’t the top two thumbnails sit side by side, not on top of each other? Am I doing something wrong or is there a something I am missing? I don’t know why the version with three works here. It doesn’t when I place the short code at the beginning of the post.
Hey Dude,
Thanks for checking the site. As usual, I did a terrible job of explaining the problem. The image that goes out of whack is in the first enlargement that pops up in the pretty photo overlay. All of those images are the same height, except for the one in position #9, which actually was uploaded with the same height as all the rest, but for some reason, when my browser is in full monitor, that one image is not fitting inside the viewport:
http://babayard.com/temp/Screen-Shot-OVERLAY.jpg
If I make the browser window smaller, refresh and click on image thumbnail, the image then fits the same way as all the other images do. This happens in FF, Chrome and Safari.
So the second part of my question was, in effect, is the area designated in red of that screen shot changeable in css? I’ve tried a number of things, but got nowhere.
Thanks.
Hello. Wanted to get back and let you know that I was finally able to view the changes. Thanks for the help!
One small item remains – When viewing the blog thumbnails on the homepage http://visiteldorado.wpengine.com/, (hosted on WPengine) I’m only seeing the dropshadow in the vertical plan. I haven’t been able to get it to show on the image sides. Can you suggest a solution for that?
Many thanks!
J
Hey Lukevdp!
Please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Catalog and change the image sizes of Catalog Images then regenerate thumbnails using http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Cheers!

Hi there!
I’m working with the fullscreen slider in my homepage :: http://www.inopia.cat/ and it doesn’t reposition from the center as in your example (http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v7-one-page-portfolio/) it just reposition from top-left corner.
Clicking on the thumbnail in the slider I should have the option of: “Image Position” – Center Center position but i don’t have it :(
Here i’ll give some links to screenshots ::
Fullscreen slider menu: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2486145/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202014-02-26%20a%20la%28s%29%2009.14.20.png

Clicking on “change Image” :: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2486145/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202014-02-26%20a%20la%28s%29%2009.14.45.png

Hey!
You can try to increase the thumbnail quality with: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simplejpegquality/ – do not forget to regenerate the thumbnails with http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Regards,
Peter
Hey babayard!
Did you fix the issue? I can’t reproduce it on my full hd screen and all thumbnails have the same size: http://www.clipular.com/c/6265833978331136.png?k=RDXXGoIVcgjXngctTb8HWKlfSlQ
You can increase the image size by changing the “Gallery Columns” option (i.e. set it to 2) and don’t forget to set another “thumbnail” size on the “Gallery” element option screen because at the moment you’re using 180x180px images which will be blurry if you stretch them to 50% of the screen size.
Cheers!
Peter

Hi yigit.
Thanks for your reply.
I was quite sure there’s no chance to do that… I think Megamenu lacks of it, doesn’t it?
Many thanks and best regards.
Hi MKW270210!
You can define a minimum and maximum height for the blog grid featured images. Add this on Quick CSS:
.post-entry .slide-image img {
width: 100%;
min-height: 100px;
max-height: 100px;
}
The code will constrain the images on a specific height. You just need to experiment which thumbnail size on “Preview Image Size” generates the best results.
Cheers!
Ismael
Thanks, but your link is not taking me anywhere. I just get the spinning loading gif.
I did find the page http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/ as an example of what is possible.
Is there a tutorial on making blog posts? I have tried making a gallery with the Post Format > Gallery and then using Insert Shortcode from the “Kitchen Sink.” You know, the icons above the Content pane. This is the short code.
[av_gallery ids='268,266,267' style='thumbnails' preview_size='portfolio' crop_big_preview_thumbnail='avia-gallery-big-crop-thumb' thumb_size='thumbnail' columns='3' imagelink='lightbox' lazyload='deactivate_avia_lazyload']
And this is the test post – http://www.kennethbsmith.com/clients/abww/gallery-post/
Why don’t the thumbnails fit into three columns? This looks Wack.
Isn’t there a tutorial on blog posts formats? This is going to be very difficult to explain to my client.
Perfect! Thank you Peter!! Google powered search rocks! misspellings, semantic matches so much superior
Here’s some CSS adjustments to the Google results page I made that may help others:
.gsc-resultsHeader {display: none;}
.gsc-orderby-container {display: none;}
.gs-bidi-start-align {padding-left: 7px;}
.gsc-thumbnail{padding: 8px 0 11px 8px;}
Customization to results styles can be made at your Google CSE interface.
Subscribe to the ads-free results and you may also remove Google branding:
.gcsc-branding {display: none;}
Note in search.php I inserted the google search script in lieu of the existing search replacing lines 21-47:
<section class="search_form_field">
<?php
echo "<h4>".__('New Search','avia_framework')."</h4>";
echo "<p>".__('If you are not happy with the results below please do another search','avia_framework')."</p>";
get_search_form();
echo "<span class='author-extra-border'></span>";
?>
</section>
</div>
<?php
if(!empty($_GET['s']))
{
echo "<h4 class='extra-mini-title widgettitle'>{$results}</h4>";
/* Run the loop to output the posts.
* If you want to overload this in a child theme then include a file
* called loop-search.php and that will be used instead.
*/
$more = 0;
get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'search' );
}
?>
Hope this will help other Enfold aficionados :)
Hi,
I’m trying to setup a portfolio page as follows:
Each file should be uploaded in a manner that when you click on the image it shows the descriptions on the side.
I want to have 3 separate galleries so when you click on the portfolio tab you see 3 boxes with these photos. Clicking into them will open a new page with a thumbnail of all photos and a large image at top.
Please advise.
Thanks.
Hi
I’ve read a closed post with a similar question here but it doesn’t work for me.
I selected a blog grid for my blog page but had the images set to ‘Set the Preview Image size automatically’. We were seeing a images with a set width but the height was varying depending on the uploaded image. This obviously makes the grid look bad as there is no uniformity to image sizes. I have now changed to ‘Choose the preview image size manually’ (180 x 180) and also downloaded and run Regenerate Thumbnails but nothing changes (cache emptied each time I try).
Any suggestions? Also, if I upload an image with a portrait aspect ratio should I expect it to be cropped to 180 x 180 or should I expect the aspect ratio to be amended?
Thanks
Mark
Hi Devin,
I did it and for that I asked you if the result should be different and maybe I was wrong in something.
As you can see in these screenshots https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8lRqyCRL2oHc2lJX0htTUcwZXc&usp=sharing , a portrait picture is displayed very small and the landscape one very big, but the portrait pictures is also bigger than the portrait one. I cannot show the paintings in that way. How can I fix this problem?
Thanks a lot,
Giovanni
Forget it!
I just discover that when we use the custom thumbnail image inside YouTube you need to send youTube an image that have at less 1280x720px…
Hi Ismael,
Thanks for the speedy reply! The current option I’m using is “Image List”.
I located the line within functions.php, but I’m not exactly sure what to do with it. I tried removing the line entirely, as well as inserting new size values–neither of which solved the issue. I also installed the Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin, which had no effect.
Here is an example of what I’m experiencing:
I added the following image to the Preview Images Gallery:
http://stevemonfilscreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/infographic-design-data-rich-insight-poor.jpg
When I inspected the HTML output, it replaced that image with this much smaller version:
http://stevemonfilscreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/infographic-design-data-rich-insight-poor-266×1030.jpg
It appears as though any image with an original size above 1030px (in height) is being automatically replaced with these smaller images. I tried forcing the width of the image to 100% width of its container, but that’s not a very good solution, since it just enlarges the small version, making it pixelated.
I’d like for the images to simply occupy 100% of the width of their container (using the original image version), if that makes sense. Whatever I can do to fix this would be great. Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi smonfils!
What is the option you’re using for “Display Preview Images” on the portfolio item? You can find the thumbnail sizes on functions.php:
$avia_config['imgSize']['gallery'] = array('width'=>710, 'height'=>575 ); // images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
You can change the width and height then regenerate the thumbnails using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Regards,
Ismael
Hey!
After you change the height on functions.php, you need to regenerate the thumbnails: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Ismael
Hi support team,
I did a search and found ways to prevent the featured image from being displayed on blog posts, but I need to find a way to do it for only specific posts. For example, when I embed a youtube video into a blog post; I still want a featured image so that the thumbnail looks good in the blog roll, however I do not want the image to display inside the blog post itself. However, when I don’t have an embedded video in my other blog posts; I do want to have the featured image displayed. What can I do?
Thanks
Asad
I think seeing how it works first hand would be the best thing to do. Set up 3-4 portfolio items and then you can see how they interact.
The demo you linked to isn’t the same element as in your original post. The Masonry *Gallery* element uses a single group of images together as a single viewable gallery.
Hi Devin,
Thanks for your feedback.
If I choose “Define custom link” and then add the exact url to the image using the url inside WordPress of the image I want to show in the lightbox, is the result the same as the Masonry Gallery of the demo http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/masonry-gallery/, i.e. you can move to different images of the portfolio using the left and right arrows inside the lightbox?
For what concern the lightbox dimensions, do you mean that a “portrait” image will be displayed with the same height of a “landscape” image? In that way, the portrait image is displayed as a small image and a landscape image is instead displayed as a big image, independently of the real dimension of the images.
Kind regards,
Giovanni
