  • Hi!

    How can we access the dashboard? It automatically redirects to the account page whenever we try to access the wp-admin. Try to disable the “Hard Crop?” option for the Catalog Images on Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display panel then regenerate the thumbnails. https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/

    Ismael

    Hi
    I am using the Construction Demo and I’m having a problem replacing the images in the 3 columns of ‘Our Services. When I look at the existing images that come with the demo in the media library they are dimensions 1732 x 1155 but even if I replace with an image of the same size it does not appear correctly on the home page. It it narrower no matter how large I make the image I upload.

    I followed other threads and added the regenerate thumbnails plugin to the site but this still didn’t resolve things.

    Thanks

    Sorry Vinay, I’ve read your reply a few times but unfortunately I couldn’t understand what you want me to do.

    I have just seen from my Firebug that the difference between the pictures that have cropped and those that haven’t is that the ones that haven’t do not have thumbnails generated in differing sizes. Any idea how I can generate the thumbnail I need to produce a crop?

    Hey sdesign-web!

    Thanks Stan! We are wishing the best for you in 2016 as well :)

    1- Have you regenerated thumbnails after changing their sizes using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/? If not, please do so.

    2- Please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display and change “Shop Page”

    3- Can you please post a screenshot and show the changes you would like to make? I am not sure if i understood you clearly.

    Cheers!

    Hi!

    you can find all image sizes in functions.php:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] 			 	= array('width'=>36,  'height'=>36);						// small preview pics eg sidebar news
    $avia_config['imgSize']['square'] 		 	    = array('width'=>180, 'height'=>180);		                 // small image for blogs
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] 		 	= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>430 );						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['extra_large'] 		 	= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>1500 , 'crop' => false);	// images for fullscrren slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 		 	= array('width'=>495, 'height'=>400 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio_small'] 		= array('width'=>260, 'height'=>185 );						// images for portfolio 4 columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['gallery'] 		 		= array('width'=>710, 'height'=>575 );						// images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_with_sidebar'] 	= array('width'=>710, 'height'=>270);		                 // big images for blog and page entries
    $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_without_sidebar']= array('width'=>1030, 'height'=>360 );						// images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    and modify what you need. Afterwards you need to regenerate thumbnails, clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.
    You could also use a plugin like https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hey,

    Clearly there’s something wrong. And i find it very disappointing that you guys aren’t able to assist me.
    I don’t think that the PHP version has something to do with it. Furthermore i gave you permission to my WordPress account and Rikard said it worked fine on his end.

    In the slide options under ‘slide image and thumbnail’ when i choose a background image, then the transitions work but of course not the way they’re supposed to, because it’s transitioning in and out to the background image and not the layer.

    So could you ask someone how it’s possible to make a layer transition? At this moment I’m not getting the support i was hoping for.

    Hey!

    No, you can’t mix two ALB elements without an extensive customization. However, i think you can achieve that with LayerSlider, there’s an option to have thumbnails show below the main slider.

    Josue

    the 2/3 slider is cool.
    the 2/3 gallery is oke as well…but what element to use?

    and… is a combination possible?
    so, the slider AND the thumbnails below it?
    now, in 2/3 gallery, the big pic only shows if the thumbs are hovered.

    #563806

    Hi Rikard,

    1. Allright, I’ll try to bulk delete them.
    2. When you click on the big preview or even on the smaller thumbnails, to open them in a new/tab window. It opens a lower-resolution version, while I would like it to link to the full size image.

    Regards,

    I have updated WordPress and theme once again and regenrated the thumbnails again using your suggested plugin but still the same thing. can you see why this is happening?

    Hi,

    How do I set it so that when a blog thumb or title is clicked it goes to a custom link on a blank page instead of opening up a single blog entry?

    Thanks

    Hi – this is a follow up to https://kriesi.at/support/topic/formatting-irregularity-can-you-see-whats-wrong/

    If you scroll to the thumbnail photos of the paintings half way down the page for the link below, you’ll notice that the red one is not aligned with the others because the text for the yellow one is 2 lines vs. 1 line long.
    http://www.dominiquehurley.com/introducing-the-12-universal-laws-enter-the-mandala/

    I tried repasting the code you gave me in the earlier topic, but then the code showed up on the post and the whole post had the grey & white lines that show up in your replies here.

    What can I do to make the red painting fit back in line (fix the spacing). Thanks.

    #563275

    Hey!

    check your current image size to identify which one you need to change.

    You could try out this as well: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/image-sizes-functions-php/#post-132880. Don’t forget to regenerate thumbnails afterwards.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi All,

    I have two questions on gallery behaviour (using the av_gallery shortcode from the default editor):
    – Is there a way to disable the title text hove of gallery thumbnails? In my example it’s the SONY DSC text.
    – I like how I can specify the size of the thumbnails or the big preview image, but I don’t see any option to control the size of the linked image. Is there a possibility in my example to force the images to link to their full-size version once you click on them?

    Thanks in advance!

    #563178

    Hey!

    did your try the plugin I mentioned before in this thread?
    https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

    Don’t forget to regenerate your thumbnails.

    Hi vinayb!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    The reason this is happening is because there seem to be some corrupt files.

    Please try to delete all images that is broken in the Media Library that doesn’t have any thumbnails then regenerate the existing images again using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ If this don’t work Please follow the steps provided in this link below to replace all theme files using FTP.

    Cheers!

    Hi, we have upgraded the wordpress recently and now cant see the featured image preview in the footer. Please see http://screencast.com/t/bPtDuRvnbClg

    Our website url is: https://www.fairviewres.com

    Please help.

    #562925

    Hey!

    Use the the following css code in order to align the thumbnails in a single row:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .responsive #top .relThumb5 {
        clear: none;
    }
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Elliot,

    Sorry, I have another related question – am having an issue with the spacing on mobile because of this. I added a margin-top to the text so the icon now goes on top. (I can’t have the text pushed too much to the right as the whole article becomes really long on mobile)

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .responsive .content .entry-content-wrapper {
    padding: 0;
    margin-top: 100px;}

    This works, except that it affects all my other post pages where the thumbnail now sits on top of the text as opposed to on the left.

    So my question is – is it possible to separate the content and the title, where I can get the content to start on the extreme left and the title and author remain as is?

    Or is there another solution to this?

    Thank you very much

    Hi,

    I knew about WP gallery functioning, but this is the first time I got this problem since 3 years with the same blog (1 month with Enfold). And I’ve always inserted my pictures in the same manner.

    Anyway, I tried you solution and it works. Meaning : if I delete class="alignright wp-image-8211" from the picture code, it’s actually stops to link to several different thumbnails (like mentioned in the screenshot in my early reply), but exclusively to the right picture url.

    But the problem is: am I supposed to change all my pictures code in all existing posts to avoid this kind of problem in the future? This is rather time consuming. And do I have systematically to delete these classes from all my new posts?

    #562736

    Hey timbaba!

    You can set the thumbnail size in

    Admin > woocommerce > Products > Display

    After that download the thumbnail regenerator plugin and re-generate all plugins so you can see the new product images.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Cheers!
    Vinay

    #562714

    ahh you misunderstood… I’d like to -disable- tooltip and have the entry title display below the thumbnail, like in image below..
    title below thumbnail example

    #562674

    thanks.
    1. solved
    2. element ‘reactions’ … what to do with it… there is no effect if clicking on them once put in place…
    3. i dont no how to link a thumbnail to another page…(see link below)
    4. the appearance of the avatars is not a circle..how to get the faces in a circle?

    #562631

    Hi!

    The max height of the posts thumbnails is set to 423px. If you want to change that, please install the Simple Image Size (link) plugin. Go to the Settings > Media panel, look for the entry_without_sidebar and entry_with_sidebar thumbnails. Adjust the size, save then regenerate the thumbnails.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #562579

    Hey!

    You can hide it with this CSS.

    .template-blog .entry-content { display: none !important; }

    Also, if you wanted to increase the thumbnail size then you can do so around line 100 in the /enfold/functions.php file.

    Cheers!
    Elliott

    #562554

    Hey torndownunit!

    Try line 38 in the /enfold/includes/admin/register-portfolio.php file.

    'supports' => array('title','thumbnail','excerpt','editor','comments')

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    #562440

    Vinay,

    Yes I agree, normally this should work, in normal circutsamces. However that is the point I am a making. The custom link in the portfolio items specifies for you to put in the link and prompts you …….with http://….. to allow you to enter int the http://www.yourdomain@.co.uk .

    I have tried all sorts but cant get the custom link to open in a new page. See http://www.psweb-design.com/our-website-design-work/. Here the custom links needs to be defined against any of the thumbnails against the section marked “A Selection of Our Work”. so when a user click onto the thumbnail it opens up a new page onto the associated website. I just can get or understand what I should enter here to get it to work and open in a new page as the normal protocol does not work.

    I have enclosed wp logon details

    Please note that we are trying to have only the image thumbnail size on the left with the title on the right within a 1/4 column without an excerpt. If you look real quick on msn.com , they have that configuration towards the top section of the page.

    Thanks again
