I am using the same version. I have checked in other browsers as well. It does work fine on Firefox but not on Safari. My local installation using WordPress 3.8.2 and the latest version of Enfold has no issues uploading media.
Can you try re-installating WordPress?Cheers!

Not the same effect but you can create a similar one animating images. It is also possible to create a similar design but you should be experienced on using Avia Layout Builder and the theme features. Please see Enfold documentation here for some snippets – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/

No it is a color section. You should add 5 1/5 columns elements and add Icon element inside each of them
