I copy&pasted username and password and tried variations but it is not working. Maybe you can try creating more simple username and password.

Please firstly make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is 2.9.2 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Glad you figured it out! You can go to Enfold theme options > Advanced Styling tab and edit Strong tagged elements. Alternatively you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab to change the color of Strong tagged elements to default color
.main_color strong, .alternate_color strong { color: inherit !important; }Cheers!

Enfold version 2.9.2 is already compatible with WordPress 4.0. Enfold version 3 will come soon though.
