Please try re-updating the theme and make sure to overwrite all files – http://vimeo.com/67209750
Overwriting all files should fix the issue. Appearance > Menus throw internal server error which is most likely not theme related – http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/

This should make the part you would like to remove, disappear on desktop and show menu on mobile with no logo
