Bundled LayerSlider only works fullwidth on Enfold so it would always push sidebar below it. You can try using Easy slider if you would like to insert a slider inside a column element

I cannot reproduce the issue on OS X 10.10 on Safari 8.0 but i can see text is flickering on transition. Please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

You are currently using an older version which is not compatible with your WordPress version
