Have you tried Contact Form 7 plugin and checked if it works? If you have and it did not work as well, please ask your host service provider to enable the mail PHP function.

Yes, you can simply overwrite all files via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
As long as you have not made changes on theme files and theme name is the same, your options will not be changed.
