I am not really sure why it does not work on your end but it does on my end. I checked your site on Chrome and Firefox on OS X 10.10

You do not need to edit footer.php file to add tabs to your footer widget ares. Please refer to my post above and add tabs shortcode into text tab in footer widget area.

You can add it in extra info field in Enfold theme options > Header > Extra Elements and wrap your text in SPAN tags with custom class and then adjust their positions using custom CSS. If you need help, please add your text and then let us know.

The latest version of Enfold is currently 3.2.3. If you are using an older version, theme needs to be updated. Please refer to tutorial here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
