Hi djsmbd,

When you update the theme all the parent theme files get updated, the files in your child theme do not get updated and it is on purpose. So that you don’t lose your changes. And you need to update them manually and then to make your edits on top of the fresh files.

It will be updated with one of the upcoming Enfold updates. If you want to keep it up-to-date all the time you can purchase the Layer Slider license and get it updated as soon as the update comes out.

No, there is no such option, it has to be added in code, it can be added but the image tag too and then styled appropriately.
