I tried this but get the same result.
I added it; no difference.
I changed one of my pages from using the advanced editor to using the default editor (without the builder codes) and then deleted Yoast and reinstalled it but Yoast is still not available on that page.
Based on other posts, they are having the opposite problem: they don’t have the advanced editor but they have Yoast.
I enabled the ALB and can now see the codes. If I copy and paste the ALB copy into the default editor, do I need to remove references to [av_ or should they stay in? I don’t know if the problem is with the visual editor or the av codes.
I understand you don’t have an ETA but I don’t have time to completely redo the site with a different theme and meet my customer’s deadline. I need a workaround.
Because the pages in the site have 1 – 4 columns, I need to know how to manually code column changes using the default editor. The site has pages that are one column, two columns, three columns and four columns.
Are they working with Yoast to fix it? Is there an expected date of resolution?
The transient cleaner didn’t work; however, Transients Manager worked.
Thanks for your help.

I’m still stuck with the pencil and, even though I’ve turned off the date, author and category, they still are being displayed.
This site has to go live and I have no solution.
September 22, 2015 at 12:29 pm in reply to: Removing "pencil" from posts and including lines of text #506963My goal is a consistent look. Sometimes the pencil is displayed; sometimes it isn’t. I want to be able to set the size of the pencil.
I am using the Advanced Layout Builder for the posts so I can control the look and content. No changes are needed for the posts. Here’s what I get and what I would like:
1. When I click Pension News from the menu, I get a large pencil on the left followed by the post title and, under the title, the Read more link but no post text. I would like each post on the Pension News page to have a small pencil followed by the post title. Under the title, there should be at least 4 lines of text from the post followed by the Read more link.
2. When I click on President under the Pension News Categories in the sidebar, there is no pencil. I get the post title and under it, the date, post categories and author. I would like a small pencil followed by the post title; no category or author. Under the title, there should be at least 4 lines of text from the post followed by the Read more link.
Perhaps I’m missing something. I added the company name to functions.php and uploaded it to the child theme folder and added the code under the General Styling tab but the text isn’t showing up.
I added my image using your code but how do I remove the default icon so only my image is displayed?
How do I add MY GRAPHIC to an icon box? Perhaps I’m missing something but I didn’t see that Fontello font manager allowed me to upload my own image and then add it to the theme.

I solved the slider issue by deleting the slider, saving and then adding it back in.
Still need to know how to use my own icon in the icon box and how to replace the social media icons in the header with different ones. One more thing. I want to replace the social media icons that come with the theme with different ones. How do I do that?
