Thank you Nikko, much appreciated — but I solved the problem on this end.
Thank you again and be well,
RichardDecember 11, 2020 at 9:24 pm in reply to: How to delete all Users who subscribed to a now defunct Forum plugin? #1266670Enfold — Thank you for standing by, but I just did it all manually, no problem.
Rikard, thank you for all of your help.
I am able to download Enfold from themeforest (https://themeforest.net/downloads); so I downloaded the theme using the link “Installable Word Press File Only”; it came Zipped and unzipped it is one folder only, titled Enfold, and all of the files are dated created between May and August of 2020.
Is this the equivalent of the “Update” file? — Can I have my team FTP upload it in to WordPress for me? Or is there a difference between putting in a whole new theme folder and the so-called “Upgrade” process?
If I need a different download to do it this way, is it possible for you to send me a link for the preferred current upgrade version of Enfold, so I can download it to my desk-top here; then, again, my team here can talk me through the FTP process.
This would satisfy some members of my team advising against letting anyone in by sharing FTP login details.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Richard
Done.
Thank you Victoria.
Sorry Victoria!

Thank you Rikard.
Please find the link and PW below.
I used my own email for the confirmation instead of your no-reply address.
It should work.
Kind thanks,
RichardThank you Rikard — I finally have the time to do this, and I am following your instructions to “update manually via FTP” [https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update], so I downloaded the Enfold Theme ZIP, unzipped it, and I have the Enford Folder …
But when I go to the WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, per the instructions, there is no “Add New”, so I can’t upload the freshly downloaded theme.
Please advise.
Thanks you,
RichardRichard here again — well, it looks like the Avia Layout Editor is there, but you have to scroll down past to the bottom to see, and there it is, repeating everything but in the Avia way, and it looks right at first, but if you try to edit anything, all of the fields are blank (the content is not in any of the text elements, but it is up in the block and or classic editor format, above.
What say yee?
Thank you for your help and consideration,
RichardSame here, my friends.
I just upgraded to WordPress 5.5 and now the Avia Layout Builder is not available.
I need that presently because I don’t have time in front of deadlines to establish a new workflow.
What do you recommend — what is the process of going back to a compatible version of WordPress?
Thank you and sorry for the newbie question,

RichardAugust 4, 2019 at 4:59 am in reply to: How to set one Custom Color for both title & caption the photo Masonry Gallery? #1124468Thank you Victoria.
It worked for the Title only by putting the code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css; but it did not change the color of the Caption.
I do not know the path to themes/enfold/css/custom.css, so if you think what will work, let me know the path, and if I do that, should I also delete it from Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css?
Thank you for you kind help.

May 12, 2019 at 10:12 pm in reply to: Italics not working in Accordion element content area #1099838Thank you Rikard.
I’m not interested in adding markup for Italics, I want to work within the limits of WP and the theme. Period.
Yes please take a look at the baffling error code in that page I posted in above. I could and will rebuild it if it can’t be repaired, but I need to know what happened so I can avoid it in the future. It must have been something I did! … but what?
With great appreciation,”

I paste in below the site link …
Again, thank you.
RichardMarch 24, 2019 at 10:42 pm in reply to: How to set reduce font size for all footer widgets only? #1082389Thank you Jordan.
Before going to CSS on this I will want to complete my first draft of the site, then back up update WP etc … so I will get back to you.
We have decided to do as little CSS modification as possible, having been warned about this by folks with more experience, who say that down the line such modification lead to conflicts with further updates, etc.
Very briefly, can you say is such concerns are warranted, and perhaps direct me to an authoritative source or discussion on this?
Your help is greatly appreciated,
RichardThank you. Got it. Much appreciated.
Keep up the great work.
RichardThanks …. it’s working perfectly!
This reply has been marked as private.yes … thank you and sorry for my late reply.
Actually … I need the Blog Post titles to appear in 10PT Font wherever I insert a Blog Posts content element on the site (right now, only on the front page/see the test page below).
This reply has been marked as private.Thank you for your reply Jordan.
I have since discovered the “Elegant” setting at > Theme Options > Blog Layout and think I can work with this — if I can determine how to tweak the Title Font Settings …
I would like the Title Font for the Posts to match the Special Heading Font (set to H6 and/or H3 with ‘heading style’ Modern (centered)).
Thank you again. I love this theme and I’m really only beginning use what it can do.
My site cannot be accessed because it is in development and if I go to add code I will have to have my tech. guy/administrator with me, maybe next Thursday if I have not got it sorted by then.
Meanwhile, if you can say how to change the Font in ‘Elegant’ that would be great.
Richard
Please help me figure out how to start a new unrelated thread! It’s not obvious looking at this support page. What am I missing?
Thanks,
RichardThank you … but are you referring to the Word Press settings? Or the Word Press Theme settings for my Enfold theme—which is where I assume it should be done.
The key point is that the page I want as my static front page already exists as one of the regular pages on the site… and now I want to move it to be the Static Front Page, but the menus for selecting the page to make the static front page do not include the Page I want to select.
On the Dashboard (which is what I think you must mean by ‘Administration’)>Settings>Reading>Front Page Displays>Static Page>Select Front Page path, the menu provided includes just a few apparently Random pages from my site.
On the Dashboard>Appearance>Themes>Enfold>Customize>Front Page>Static Page path, the drop down menu gives me a few apparently random pages from all of my pages to choose from … and no way to select from the full range of pages.
On the Enfold>Theme Options>General Styling>Frontpage Settings path, it’s the same …. no access to all of my pages.
So … briefly … how do I convert one of my standard pages, built with care over many weeks, to be my Static Front Page … the link you gave me is very general and provides no solution.
Thankyou for your attention, I’m sure it’s something basic I’m missing, but the menus just don’t allow access.
Does the page I want to select have to have certain characteristics?
I can tell you now on that page’s editor, under Page Attributes, I have it set:
Parent: No Parents
Template: Default Template
Sidebar Settings: Default Sidebars
Footer Settings: Default Layout – Set in Enfold
Header Visibility and transparency: Transparent header with BorderThank you kindly!
RichardMarch 3, 2017 at 12:50 am in reply to: Easy Slider media element won't allow changes in image size #754752Yes! Thank you Ismael and all … I have it set correctly and working fine. It’s a great theme in so many ways, and I’ll be buying a new one for another project in the next couple of days. Again, many thanks!
RichardFebruary 26, 2017 at 10:54 pm in reply to: Easy Slider media element won't allow changes in image size #752065Thank you Mike.
To be sure, there are not actual videos, they are simple J-Peg photographs created from screen clippings of a film I’m producing in FCP.
The photos are not stretched by the slider, they are in 16:9 aspect ratio.
I think the issue is straight forward: can I use the front page easy slider to present photos of the sizes listed in the easy slider media element’s “Slide Show Image Size” selector? to do so, do I have to size the images myself down to the exact ration and pixels (no problem, if so)? or do I have to use a different element?
Again … many thanks!
