YES! That was it. Thank you so much!
Sadly, it is not working yet. I created an account for you to look at what I have done so far. It is on the HOME page.
Thank you in advance for any help that you can give.
Thank you. I got the iconbox to work, but not the icon grid.
I put the following CSS into CSS box:
.avia-icongrid.custom-icongrid li:nth-child(1) .icongrid-char:before {
content: “”;
background-image: url(https://bp.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/1-Start.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: contain;
background-position: center;
width: 50px;
height: 50px;
display: inline-block;
position: relative;
border-radius: 50%;
}Then, I put custom-icongrid into the custom CSS class field.
Thank you again for your help.

March 6, 2019 at 12:43 am in reply to: Need Menu Item or button in header to launch a javascript #1075209Jordan,
I have tried to add the widget to the header. But, with limited success. I would really like the link to be in the menu. See the box on the menu line that says “HERE PLEASE”. How can I make that this complex link? (My website URL is in the private section.)Right now, I tried the widget. But, the phrase “Customer Login” appears under the logo. I cannot figure out how to move it or align it next to the menu.
My third choice would be to have it on a line by itself above the menu. But, then, I do not know what would happen on phones and small screens.Is there a way to do what I need?
I am thrilled to be using Enfold for https://globalz.com.
I always love feedback!
Never mind. Now it is working.
Hi, when I investigated deeper, I found that a recommendation was to remove an “unused” stylesheet that takes 1.4 seconds to load.
dynamic_avia/avia-merged-styles-f4d6565….css 76 KB 1,380 msThere was also a jquery that takes about a second to load.
jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 39 KB 930 msI am, honestly, way over my head here. I am hoping that the information will help you to have an inspiration. I appreciate all of your help. I love the Enfold theme and only hope to make it even better.
Roger
Rikard and cg,
It is interesting to see the differences that you are getting on mobile versus desktop and what I am getting.
I have focused my efforts on the page http://globalz.com/home-no-content which contains only a header and footer. There is no other content on the page. The server is identical in both cases.When I run PageSpeed Insights for desktop, I get a remarkable score of 100. Here is the breakdown:
First Contentful Paint 0.6 s
Speed Index 1.7 s
Time to Interactive 1.3 s
First Meaningful Paint 1.0 s
First CPU Idle 1.3 s
Estimated Input Latency 10 msWhen I run the same page just seconds later for mobile, I get a less remarkable score of 56. Here is the breakdown:
First Contentful Paint 2.1 s
Speed Index 5.8 s
Time to Interactive 8.0 s
First Meaningful Paint 4.0 s
First CPU Idle 7.0 s
Estimated Input Latency 50 msNote the difference in First Contentful Paint. It goes from 0.6 seconds to 2.1 seconds. The first meaningful paint goes from 1 second to 4.0 seconds. And, the first CPU idle shifts from 1.3 seconds to 7.0 seconds. Time to interactive, which I think is the most meaningful, goes from 1.3 seconds to a full 8 seconds. I am guessing that is the biggest issue.
These results have me wondering about the differences between the two pages. For example, is there something about the hamburger menu that creates delay? Is there an issue with resizing the images in the header and footer?
I am thinking of making the page without a menu or footer to see if we can isolate the issue further.
Thank you for considering the issues.
Roger
Rikard,
I am not expecting a 100 score. I am not sure what made you say that. And, you cannot take Google mobile performance with a grain of salt. It is what they use as an element in determining page rankings, which is important to all of us in the business world.
The real issue is that the best result that I could possibly get with Enfold in mobile performance is only fair. I want to do better than that. Ideally, I would like to see above 90. But, I will accept something closer.
Other people in this thread have talked about loading times on mobile versus desktop. Is there something that can be going on there?
Please do not take it personally. We are trying to problem solve with you. It seems to me that Enfold is doing something that does not perform well on mobile. Do you have any thoughts on what may be the cause?
Roger
Yes, that did it. I thought that I had tried that once.
Thank you again for all of your help.
I figured it out using the LayerSlider. It is looking good now. Thank you so much.
Thank you. I can do that.
Is it possible to have a text overlay for the Full Width Easy Slider. I see the caption heading. But, I want it to use the H1 CSS settings plus a few additional.
RogerJuly 2, 2018 at 8:24 am in reply to: enfold remarketing tag can't put into head or body section #979985I wish to add to the requests for Google Tag Manager support. It is the most significant missing feature in Enfold.
Sorry, I typed it wrong.
Thank you. It is working on small devices perfectly below 755px width and above 970px wide..
However, between 755px wide and 970 wide, an opaque menu appears. This is a problem for the iPad 4 in portrait mode. Is there a fix for this?Thank you — it worked perfectly.
